Detroit People Mover New Platform Edge Announcement

This new automated announcement debuted in March 2024 with the Mover's upgraded public address system. It triggers automatically when a waiting passenger is detected crossing the yellow line with no train present- it probably played here because of a glitch.
Before this new system was installed, the control operators manually announced over the intercom to remind passengers to stand back, though it was hard to understand their voices over the old speakers.

I think it's the same TTS voice that's used in the old part of NY Penn Station and a few other Amtrak stations

It’s the Samantha text to speech voice to be exact. Sounding similar to Siri but not exactly the same voice.
