Detroit People Mover New Platform Edge Announcement
This new automated announcement debuted in March 2024 with the Mover's upgraded public address system. It triggers automatically when a waiting passenger is detected crossing the yellow line with no train present- it probably played here because of a glitch.
Before this new system was installed, the control operators manually announced over the intercom to remind passengers to stand back, though it was hard to understand their voices over the old speakers.

Seen crossing 8th St SE just south of Wilburton station. There was a pretty even mix of Kinki Sharyos and S700s testing on the line- which explains the notable lack of Kinki Sharyos on the 1 Line as of late.

The ATL SkyTrain's automated station announcements use the same sound- it's pretty common (I think General Motors used it in some of their vehicles' radios too)
I think it's the same TTS voice that's used in the old part of NY Penn Station and a few other Amtrak stations
It's also the same voice as Siri lol
It’s the Samantha text to speech voice to be exact. Sounding similar to Siri but not exactly the same voice.

Philly is really an underrated place for transit filming imo. My favorite spots are between city hall and 30th st where you can film the trolleys and MFL trains at the same time. The regional rail is pretty cool too, especially when you get the front window seat on the Silverliner V.

The 510 runs from Bel Air Center at 8 Mile to Lakeside, following Van Dyke to M-59. I'd like to film the whole thing sometime, but 510 is one of the most-used routes and I don't like to film with a lot of riders around.

Nope, it was still automated, they just programmed an extra-long stop at Grand Circus to handle the crowd.
