Es un grande Michael y cada cantante tiene su forma de cantar y cada uno es diferente uno de otro a mi me gusta Pavarotti pero tambien Diego Flores y Michael , excelente ,no me gusta hacer comparaciones , si disfruto escucharlos

Au XIXè siècle ce type de chanteurs était très répandu, surtout en France où toute la théorie de "l'école Française" était basée sur des voix plus épaisses utilisant leur voix mixte renforcée. Avec le temps, par la rareté des interprètes, les goûts des publics et l'industrie même ont évolués et beaucoup de répertoire est tombé en désuétude. Une grande majorité des œuvres écrites à cette époque là ne sont plus chantées par les tessitures originelles mais par des tessitures plus légères car peu de chanteurs savent utiliser efficacement leur voix mixte aujourd'hui donc les seuls à arriver à concilier toute la tessiture sont des ténors plus légers (ex : Nadir dans les Pécheurs de Perles de G.BIZET : 1er air 100% basé sur l'utilisation de la voix mixte, reste du rôle très épais et héroïque donc plutôt pour Fort Ténor ou Ténor Dramatique avec maitrise voix mixte). Pour revenir à M.SPYRES qui est bien baryton naturellement, son autre avantage organique est la morphologie même de ses cordes vocales. Voix grave = cordes longues et fines = naturellement plus efficaces pour travailler sur le registre de voix mixte (Les contre ténors sont en effet dans la grande majorité des barytons et/ou basses dans leur voix naturelle. Pour des ténors naturelles développant leur voix mixte on parle de Haute Contre (autre terme un peu tombé en désuétude : un super exemple contemporain : John Osborn). Pour avoir passé pas mal de temps à discuter avec Michael Spyres, il m'a simplement expliqué qu'il a passé des années acharnées à travailler sur cet aspect de sa voix et le "miracle" est apparue. Je précise que le terme Bayténor n'existe pas, il est purement marketing, mais grâce à un travail acharné sur cette technique du passé, il nous offre une immense variété de répertoire perdu jusqu'à aujourd'hui. Je soulignerai également hors cas de M.Spyres, que travailler sa voix mixte est indispensable pour trouver la bonne balance et la bonne hygiène dans la voix et essentiellement chez les Ténors dont la quinte aigues est intimement reliée et fondée sur la voix mixte renforcée. D’ailleurs on l’entend parfaitement quand il passe sur un F#5 sa voix mixte se situe un cran au dessus

Also you literally said that his tessitura in high notes alone proves he is a tenor, so its a perfectly suitable counter-argument that his strong low tessitura speaks against it.

That’s right: he’s MUCH better. Pavarotti may have had a more identifiable / naturally radiant voice, but he had nowhere near the technique, agility, or range of Spyres.

I think his passaggio is at C5 because all the notes above C sound more securely placed than the Cs.
I dont think its possible for a male to have passagio at C5, unless severe hormonal problems. A traditional tenor has passagio at F#4/G4.

That’s right: he’s MUCH better. Pavarotti may have had a more identifiable / naturally radiant voice, but he had nowhere near the technique, agility, or range of Spyres.

It depends, speaking about Vocal technique he was indeed perfect, at least until 1982/1983, then he still was amazing, but not as good as before, and his agilities were very good in some roles, for example as Elvino he is very convincing, in one of the arias he deals really well with the coloraturas, as Manrico he does real Trinos! As Radamés he does perfect pianos and pianissimos at the death duet, but the truth is, he was very lazy with those things, but when he was comited he did amazing

Muchas de sus notas altas son en falsete,pues el no es un tenor real es un baritono y punto.
Creo que forzar la voz como lo hace saltando de barítono a tenor e lnclusive tratando de cantar áreas de tenor ligero, ponen en peligro su voz enel futuro.Para mi su voz es de un baritono martin.
Lleva más de 20 años cantando así y no ha tenido ningún problema…
¿Idea mía o su voz se siente muy, muy forzada en algunos casos?

me preocupa sua saúde vocal futura, só a idade dirá, para mim há um esforço vocal fatal, característico de agudos de tenores sendo cantados por barítonos. Para mim ele é um barítono com notas agudas formadas perigosamente.
Barítono cantando aria de tenor ligero ,pero lo que no subrayas es que ese baritono tiene técnica vocal para extender su rango vocal ,con mecanismos fisiológicos de resonancia ,que diferencia un baritono de otros, soy barítono lirico pero con técnica llego a aria del tenor ligero ,la misma técnica vocal para hacer los graves de un bajo , una cosa es tu voz cómoda tu tesitura, y otra es la extensión del rango vocal con estudio mucho estudio y maduración de la voz, el belting y otras herramientas que para un baritono son buenas herramientas

@@edyalbertoariasdelaoa la larga pasa factura, como el primer comentario dijo, ya veremos en el futuro y esto es más real de lo que crees, las cosas no se hacen ni se dicen a la ligera, aun que en realidad michael es un tenor con buena base y notas graves, así es como funciona la voz del tenor y los barítonos en realidad son tenores con notas más graves, tú lo has dicho, eres barítono lírico que con técnica alcanza notas agudas, tenor lírico spinto o dramático así de simple.

El cantara esas notas mientras pueda, el mismo reconoce q su voz natural es baritonal y se siente mas cómodo en ese registro. Somos afortunados de ver una maravilla vocal como esta en nuestros tiempos, mi himilde opinion ✌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
