Good advice. Competence. Personal chemistry. Trust. I think the 'fit' can be a troublesome area. What if you get along too well? Romantic feelings? Or too 'buddy'? It's a professional relationship and you don't want things to alter that too much. And you don't want to be the guy who marries his secretary.
Looks? You mean polished, classy and professional!! That's pretty much for any customer facing role, your appearance matters! EAs are interfacing with many internal & external stakeholders and become a face of the office
Psychology tip: the DISC assessment is not scientifically proven or research based. If you want to REALLY know how someone ticks, have them take the Big 5 Traits assessment. It's the only personality assessment that is proven by hours and hours of documented scientific research.
