It’s actually cute how comfortable they are with one another throughout the entire series to the point where they can openly hug without it being awkward or weird. Now that’s true friendship. Heck they even danced with each other and somehow it was still fully platonic but at the same time it showed how close they are and how much they care for each other.

Harry and Hermione seemed a much better match to me than Harry and Ginny. Harry and Ginny did not seem compatible to me in the films. There was not enough romantic tension between them over the course of the films; Harry's romantic feelings for Ginny just seemed to suddenly develop in film 6 (there is a moment in film 5 where he is impressed by her Reducto course during training, but otherwise you don't really see him developing feelings for her until film 6); they didn't spend as much time together one-on-one; and there just didn't seem to be good chemistry between Daniel Radcliffe and Bonnie Wright. The books give some more insight into the development of their relationship, how Ginny managed to become more comfortable around Harry and what she did in order to gain his attention, but otherwise there still could have been some more development of romantic feeling on Harry's part prior to book 6. On the other hand, Harry and Hermione spent numerous occasions together; they saved each other's lives a number of times; each of them was on hand for the other to confide their thoughts and feelings in; Hermione would defend Harry even from Ron's criticisms; she chose to stay with Harry when Ron left under the influence of the Horcrux; and there was really good chemistry between Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson.

+thane spero I think from the start of the books JKR planned to make Ron and Hermione one of those couples who starts out hating each other but ends up falling in love (which, ironically, is like ten times more cliche than Harry ending up with Hermione would have been), but their personalities were so different and they fought so frequently that it just couldn't really happen naturally. So JKR had to force it. Everyone says Harry and Hermione are like brother and sister but I think Ron and Hermione are more like brother and sister, because of how they are always fighting but then they make up, just like real siblings. But Harry always treats Hermione with the respect she deserves, and they never fight. I come from a big family, so I can tell you from experience that Ron and Hermione act like siblings WAY more than Harry and Hermione do, and Harry and Hermione act like a couple or at least special friends.
In the deathly hallows part 1 there was a scene where they were alone and hermione said "maybe we should just stay here, grow old" I WISH IT HAPPENED!!!!

In the books Harrys and Rons friendship is in my opinion definetly closer. Their friendship is for me everything in the books, but unfortunately the (later) movies did a very poor job on Harry/Ron, so the films are basically about Harrys and Hermiones friendship with Ron's book-lines.
I just realized the significance of number 1. She knows he’s going to his death and offers to come with him (which means she’ll definitely die too) just so he’s not alone. I’ve never seen them as a romantic couple, but I have always appreciated the bond they shared throughout the series

@@aadya1262 Just a genuine question, but why? Harry and Hermonie had far more companionship and understanding with each other than any of the other character combinations. In comparison to the development they went through, all of the other pairings seemed rushed and had disconnects. But with Harry and Hermonie you never really feel as if they’re not deeply connected in their feelings when they share moments together. Which is why, for me, they made the obvious choice. I was genuinely shocked to find out the Rowling was looking to place Ron and Hermonie together. Maybe a different perspective would help me understand why people believe Ron and Hermonie to be the better pair.

Number Three is definitely my favorite one. Even though I don't ship them I feel that is one of the best and happiest moments in the series. Number 3 should've been number 1 in my opinion.

Harry is always there to comfort Hermione, and she is there to comfort him. 2.At the Yule ball(year4) when Ms. Patil said "shes so beautiful", harry was just looking at Cho saying yes she is, now when he turned around, you see the emotion in his eyes. (: 3. JK.Rowling said that she regretted not pairing them up. 4.I think that Harry just kept his feelings deep underground for Ron, which is noble and stupid at the same time. 5. Why Ginny? Why chose your bestfriends sister, to let them be happy? 6.Harry and Hermione had a close and better relationship than Ron and her. 7.they both spent alot of time together. 8. I would’ve agreed with you before but after years of watching HP I have come to appreciate them as just great friends, something you don’t often see between a guy and a girl in movies where everything is always about romance. I like to see more platonic male-female relationships, and I’m glad JK Rowling did that in HP. That being said, if Harry and Hermione did end up together they definitely would have been a great couple.

Harry and Hermione seemed a much better match to me than Harry and Ginny. Harry and Ginny did not seem compatible to me in the films. There was not enough romantic tension between them over the course of the films; Harry's romantic feelings for Ginny just seemed to suddenly develop in film 6 (there is a moment in film 5 where he is impressed by her Reducto course during training, but otherwise you don't really see him developing feelings for her until film 6); they didn't spend as much time together one-on-one; and there just didn't seem to be good chemistry between Daniel Radcliffe and Bonnie Wright. The books give some more insight into the development of their relationship, how Ginny managed to become more comfortable around Harry and what she did in order to gain his attention, but otherwise there still could have been some more development of romantic feeling on Harry's part prior to book 6. On the other hand, Harry and Hermione spent numerous occasions together; they saved each other's lives a number of times; each of them was on hand for the other to confide their thoughts and feelings in; Hermione would defend Harry even from Ron's criticisms; she chose to stay with Harry when Ron left under the influence of the Horcrux; and there was really good chemistry between Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson.

+thane spero I think from the start of the books JKR planned to make Ron and Hermione one of those couples who starts out hating each other but ends up falling in love (which, ironically, is like ten times more cliche than Harry ending up with Hermione would have been), but their personalities were so different and they fought so frequently that it just couldn't really happen naturally. So JKR had to force it. Everyone says Harry and Hermione are like brother and sister but I think Ron and Hermione are more like brother and sister, because of how they are always fighting but then they make up, just like real siblings. But Harry always treats Hermione with the respect she deserves, and they never fight. I come from a big family, so I can tell you from experience that Ron and Hermione act like siblings WAY more than Harry and Hermione do, and Harry and Hermione act like a couple or at least special friends.

@@aadya1262 Just a genuine question, but why? Harry and Hermonie had far more companionship and understanding with each other than any of the other character combinations. In comparison to the development they went through, all of the other pairings seemed rushed and had disconnects. But with Harry and Hermonie you never really feel as if they’re not deeply connected in their feelings when they share moments together. Which is why, for me, they made the obvious choice. I was genuinely shocked to find out the Rowling was looking to place Ron and Hermonie together.
Maybe a different perspective would help me understand why people believe Ron and Hermonie to be the better pair.

The Wise Guy I never understood why people shipped them so much. He was the brother she never had, and she was the sister he never had. And that's beautiful on its own. A lot of people don't get relationships that well. Yes they hug, and smile at each other and protect each other but that doesn't make their friendship automatically romantic. I never ever saw them as a couple because I understood that. A brother and a sister is what I always saw them as. And the fact that they were so open about everything, and they hugged easily, and were never really shy around each other proves that. And as for their dancing moment, people said it was "romantic" or "intimate" because he took the necklace off. No, it was a moments of care, and platonic love and they were simply trying to cheer each other up, especially Harry to Hermione, considering he knew of her feelings for Ron and he knew how as she was at that moment

I think that JK.Rowling did a *HUGE* mistake with the romance part of the series.
BUT, let me explain some thoughts that might just make you happy :D
1. Harry is always there to comfort Hermione, and she is there to comfort him.
2.At the Yule ball(year4) when Ms. Patil said "shes so beautiful", harry was just looking at Cho saying yes she is, now when he turned around, you see the emotion in his eyes. (:
3. JK.Rowling said that she regretted not pairing them up.
4.I think that Harry just kept his feelings deep underground for Ron, which is noble and stupid at the same time.
5. Why Ginny? Why chose your bestfriends sister, to let them be happy?
6.Harry and Hermione had a close and better relationship than Ron and her.

9.as I was rewatching Deathy Hallows, (spoiler alert if you havent watched it)
When Ron left Harry started to feel something else for Hermione, he didn't notice her as just a best friend, even Dumbledore asked harry if they were together(year 3 or 4) and I think that they both needed a break from Ron, I feel like Ron wasnt fair to harry or Hermione because he was just caught up in his feeling, like normal human beings are. Overall this is an amazing ship and we can think that Harry and Hermione are both together in an amazing land called fantasy land. :)

I would’ve agreed with you before but after years of watching HP I have come to appreciate them as just great friends, something you don’t often see between a guy and a girl in movies where everything is always about romance. I like to see more platonic male-female relationships, and I’m glad JK Rowling did that in HP. That being said, if Harry and Hermione did end up together they definitely would have been a great couple.
