If you want the measurements for the individual circles, you can use the x^2+y^2=r^2 formula, for creating circles on a coordinate plane. Substitute for y based on how many layers you want - for example, if you want to make a ball with a radius of 10cm (20x20cm), you could have a slice every 2 cm (so 10 slices in each direction, 20 in total). You can then substitute r and y in the equation - when y and x are both 0, the radius is 10cm, when y is 6 then you get x^2 + 36 = 100, x^2 = 64, x = 8. So, a radius of 8 cm for the third slide away from the center. This formula can be applied to a ball of any size or density.
