Me toooo!!!😍
Peter Dahmen is amazing, I am sure that Leonardo Da Vinci would have been enthralled by his creations. Bravo, Peter !!! It's fantastic !!
Breathtakingly beautiful! The paper was so white! I could never do this! I would make it dirty with a mixture of fingermarks and glue sticking me to the project, I would glue myself to the desk, mess it all up a million times over, throw it in a corner and never try again! Wonderful!
This person who put this video together did a great job editing .. but no one ll think of the work to make the video just the artist that made the art.. they both did great job.
I can't understand why anyone would possibly dislike this video.
Such beauty and talent
The human mind is so complex, there is no boundaries for what it can do to astonish you.
It is only failure if you learn nothing, If in the a temp you learn something then you have not failed. It is in gaining knowledge that we grow. Loved your video.

Its refreshing to hear someone admit failure.
Germans are generally humble!
Still enjoy watching this. So inspirational.
Thank you for the kind words :)
What a genuinely nice guy!
Sir, that is breath taking. There is no other way to describe it, and anyone should be humbled and honored if they receive a card like what you created for any occasion.
Art, architecture, engineering and a true love of what you do. This man has a real gift. Amazingly beautiful 💕

Wow... I think I've lost my voice now... I'm so speechless about how creative and his amazing abilities to create such a beautiful thing from paper! True genius indeed!
His friends must get the best birthday cards.
Or, that's where all the ugly ones go.
IMightBeADuck He gets a raging hardon over paper and pop up cards, willing to bet he doesnt have loads of friends...
super very nice
Jake Shire, I'd be his friend.
Yes, but at the same time it's very hard for his friends find the right birthday card
thank you for the truth about the peacock. that inspired me, really. Seeing the humble side of people is always interesting
hey ...
Honestly, I love papers too. Since I love to draw... Exploring different kinds of paper was part of its never ending journey of discovering ideas and uses. I am collecting and taking care of them. After seeing this humble successful man... I want to make good use of those papers now in a different way. Just plain and clean paper. It will be hard but on the other hand learning it will be worth. Seeing this man's joy... no, feeling this man's joy is also magical. It's always different when you work the things you love to do. Those are incredibly beautiful.
Sei せい I wish you the very best! Thank you for your kind comment about Peter and his work!

Mr Dahmen, your work is truly art. It's exquisite, ethereal, simply beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with the world in this way.
The passion in his voice is so beautiful that it just cannot be put into words.
I love this! There is such great process behind this.
Ok, I was really intrigued as soon as he folded the paper, but man, at 4:32, the video editing though! :) Great work both of you.
Thank you for the compliment! Peter is amazing and I had a great time working with him to create this short film :) Best wishes! -Christopher
ChristopherHelkey That part made the video. Simply mesmerizing. Great work 👍🏼

His art, his process, even his narrative, especially his humility ...are ethereal, hypnotic. Just watching and listening has such a calming effect. (Of course, if I were cutting, measuring, gluing -- there would be no serenity, no peace, just a decoupaging twit who gave up long before Art had a chance lol!)
Bravo Mr Dahmen for revealing the fortitude and patience that is exacted for creativity to have a chance. You have both and more -- in unparalleled, spectacular abundance.
I so agree with you -- magical. Thank you for sharing. Cannot wait to see more!
A magic moment to witness creativity unfolding. Hats off!!
WOW KEEP UP WHAT YOUR DOING, YOUR AMAZING, FUCK THE HATERS....HATERS ONLY HATE BECAUSE THEY CANT DO ANYTHING 👍

you're amazing, what a brilliant talent you have. It was magical watching something flat come to life in a most wonderful way. You are a mathematical and engineering genius....truly beautiful work. Yes I love the movement too, you make it move- such a gift, thanks for showing us
Absolutely amazing! Thanks for encouraging the rest of us. You are an artist.
The creativity in this is.... unimaginable. I never thought I'd see someone work like this with paper. Truly amazing. Truly outrageous. Well done to whoever decided to make this video, and well done to Peter too.
Must be a tremendous amount of thought goes into these designs.
Hi Peter.
Tbh I am almost lost for words at the sheer beauty of your fascinating work. Thanks for sharing with us your art, and art it certainly is.
NASA may be interested in this type of work, condensing things to a minimum and at the same time being able to expand when necessary. I know they use origami artists for such things as solar sails and solar cells. The art of folding to the absolute minimum is a requirement close to every NASA`s scientists hearts.
My thanks are also extended to Christopher Helkey for a superb and very well put together video. The quality was excellent.
Most sincerely
JF ( UK )
+PatricK WithaKay Thank you for your kind words about Peter and the compliment on my video. Best wishes from Los Angeles! Thank you for the advice on NASA.
The moment he said " how was he going to transport his project" then he folded it! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 so amazing. Thank you for sharing your passion.
Christopher Helkey thanks for sharing..such a amazing
Oh how stunningly wonderful! The amount of time and effort that go into these truly gorgeous pieces must be phenomenal! ChristopherHelkey can you show how you made that.I is awesome I like it .
I LOVE CREATIVE PEOPLE!
6:02 That look of pure joy. He loves what he does and I can see why. His art is like music. Melodic, dramatic and powerful.
Humble. Creative. Passionate. Inspiring.
Thank you Peter and Christopher for giving us a truly magical glimpse into Peter's world. It really puts over Peter's sense of curiosity and how he became the engineer he is, and I love how his work exemplifies that "necessity is the mother of invention" when he explained how he needed to transport his 3D work easily and so made it foldable to 2D to transport. The film is delightful, taking our eye right into the stuctures. Delightful and informative and both film and structures beautifully envisioned and put together, actually moved me to tears in a couple of places!
He took the art origami to a whole new level.
How in the world does figured out the complex angles and shapes?
+peter yeung This is not origami, origami is simply folding a square piece of paper into a shape, cuts and the use of glue are not allowed.
peter yeung I
“Movement is the beautiful thing.” Yes! I love it!!!
The patience you must have too create such beautiful works of art is amazing!
It's always so wonderful watching you work. The movement is so beautiful. It is magical when you see what appears from a closed piece of card stock.. You have a special gift and I'm thankful that I can see these videos from time to time.. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us your wonderful talent............pat
Pat, Thank you so much for your kind comment about Peter Dahmen! I am glad you enjoyed the video! :)

You are very welcome :)
So im guessing this guy never had a problem re-folding the paper map in the car...
something so genuine which i got to see after a long time
Sir, respect to you. The way you speak, your eyes and that "unfolding of the mystery"..... its speaks something beyond my words could possibly describe.....
even as a child put his first palm of paint on to a paper is beautiful....until someone told them "it's ugly"/ "it's childish"...etc...please dont be a dream crusher...don't judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree...be a motivator! let art flow like the tao...peace.
+Be Content and silent the mind IF A FISH CLIMBS A TREE ILL TAKE IT :pPPPPPP
IM NOT CRYING YOURE CRYING
Wow what an ingenious man , good understanding of the materials he's working with .Beautiful creations . Also i like the style with which it was filmed as well . Gentle and understated ,allowing the artist to shine.
Great work, so fascinating and a really amazing message. It is important not to give up, to keep working at things step by step, everyone has to start somewhere. Peter's sense of curiosity, wonder, and ingenuity is infectious, love it.

Getting paper for folding paper. Nise
this is cool :)
+Leah Gage Thanks! Peter Dahmen is awesome!
that was stunningly beautiful. I was captivated by the scale, intricacies, and out right beauty of the pieces almost as much as i was enthralled with the actual movement of them. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful talent. And to anyone who thinks that a talent like this should be "sold" doesn't understand that somethings are devalued once you turn it into profit. May this art always be in your heart. Hugs.
Peter.... incredible, beautiful work!! I love the complexity and beauty of your creations... just incredible. Thank you for sharing. Ax

Peter, WoW !! all your work is beautiful and full of creativity. love it!! Congrats ! and thanks for sharing ✔💟✔
4.34min background music what the title.....plsss
Not sure who created this particular version, but it's a variation of 'Arrival of the Birds' by 'The Cinematic Orchestra'.
This is a nice rendition, and the original is quite good as well.
You should check out the Arrival Of The Birds + Transformation song since both songs actually complete each other.
name of the song, please? 5:20
+DJ Milo Hey DJ Milo. It's a composition by Steven Settinger www.steven-settinger.de/ Contact him for info. He is an amazing composer
+ChristopherHelkey thank you
i think the name of the song, it is a soundtrack from Theory of Everything
It sounds like an edited ver of Arrival of the birds & Transformation by Cinematic Orchestra.
Yeah, first thing I thought when I heard it. It's definitely Arrival of the Birds, I hope he hasn't ripped it off to make money.
Amazing. The most memorable card that I ever got was a handmade Valentine's Day pop-up card sent from my friend Micheal who lived 1200 miles away when we were kids. It had a gold Cupid with red feathers for wings on the front with a commercially made 3D tissue paper heart on the inside, and gold and red heart stickers all over. For nearly two decades, I held onto it until a jealous boyfriend found it and destroyed it. Nothing store bought has matched that special card.
I also was always amazed by movement of pop up cards - never actually by story or the shape itself. This art is like poetry - beautiful
why is this guy not working for nasa?
haha
Because ESA is better :P
what is ESA ????
European Space Agency
A` ok!! thank you ^^
Dieses typische Englisch von Deutschen :'D
