friend, here in my country, Brazil, that's car is called 'Kombi', very popular, widely used to transport students, travel, products, etc. We have 'Kombis' by the thousands and many, but many spare parts in the trades of car parts! If you need parts, do not forget, it is in Brazil that you will find them! Big hug !!

Nice that you can spend the time working with your dad. You can never put a price on those times. And it helps that he has a nice shop to work on the Bus. I like that it is clean and organized, that is a sign of someone who cares about the job that they do. Can't wait for the next video.

Great stuff!. Love the rapport with your Dad. As a seventeen year old, Dad and I didnt get on at all I bought a wrecked motorbike and we ended up doing a basic restoration on my small BSA motorbike. Doing it together fixed our relationship, taught me 'make n mend' and ended up with Dad being my best friend..... Nice one.

Good Job Mic. Good feeling getting all that dirty rust cut out. Most folks don't have a clue how much work it entails in a project like this. It's very labor intensive but she'll look fantastic when she's welded back up. That is where the fun begins is when you get to put fresh metal back in her. cheers dude.

I’m sure this has been brought up before but the vids are dated for two years ago... is Kona currently on the road again? Love these videos and your spirit my man! The GoPro vids and other reviews are great but the “what’s going on in my life” videos are the best. Your dad has a beautiful home and being able to work on Kona together is something you’ll truly appreciate years from now. You got me looking for a ‘66 (my birth year) bus now!

Your restoring it at the same level or how I'm doing my buses (2) 67's & (1) 64 . Great to see your dad working and supporting you on the bus project. My son and I started working on VW as a hobby when he was just 3 years old, now at the age of 30 we still enjoy it. My struggle is I'm 65 and have health issues, but still enjoy what I can do on my vw's. I sub to your channel the day you picked up your bus like how you are documenting the project. I need a car lift , but garage ceiling to low.. so floor jacks & jack stand and a lot of old bones trying to get up & down from the floor, but each task is a victory and a little happy dance.

He showed me your bus and told me about you and your bus. I have now binge watched everything up to this point and I am totally jonesing for a new bus project like yours.
Your video's are awesome and SOOOO helpful as I am practically a noob again it's been so long. Your bus is very similar to what I want, and I cannot wait to see the rest of your episodes.

I can't wait to see how far you have come with the bus. I have a 67 bus myself and would not trade it for anything. I wish mine was a walk-thru like your though as mine has the split bench in the front, anyways I can't wait to see more of the work. Don't give up on it... I see the time stamps on the videos and I know that when projects take so long to finish sometimes they get put off or never finished. take care from louisiana.

Hi Mic! Nice to see your work again on Kona the bus. It`s hard work bud it will pay of, It seems to me you learned a lot since the first video from your efforts to make something out of Kona the bus.I`ve enjoyed every time I watch you work and struggle to fit the different parts you mounted in the first videos, Bud, now you made a great advance, I do really know what it cost you in time and sweat blood and tears. Admirable I`ve Restoring my one Oldtimer a VW T3 Single Cab from 1982. Hopefully, I get it on the road next autumn. stay cool and see you again in your next video. Greetings from HCS

Sweet stuuf , are you treating the frame with some POR15. You know I'm all about the POR15. Good stuff bro. dang I didn't know you were replacing the floor boards. What are you going to put in there? That is going to be a sweet camping ride.

Wow the bus is coming along quite well ! You are making progress and doif good work BTW. I was in need of a grinder quickly a few years ago and i wound up buying a Hitachi brand. I beleive its the only Hitachi tool ive ever owned and in all honesty its been a great. Tool for me for over 10 years i was skeptical at the time but like you my old one burnt up in the middle of a job Only had 1 big box store opened on a weekend and that one seemed like the best one they had for the money ive been quite happy with it and will not hesitate buying another power tool built by them again i am a retired Woodworker and years ago. A company i worked for. Had a few powe miter saws that were Hitachi and worked well plus appeared to be quality Although you. Can’t go wrong. With the DeWalts either IMO
