Manu (246lbs) and Alesana (273lbs) are both banned from doing weights. If they do weights they become "too big" and less agile, which makes them less effective for their positions. Henry (282lbs) wasn't banned from doing weights, which is why he could do about 5 reps of 551lbs on bench press. Manu could bench press 419lbs when he was 20 years old. Alesana could run 100m in about 11.5 seconds even though he weighed 273lbs. You should look at Jonah Lomu too, he weighed 262lbs, he was 6'5" and he ran 100m in 10.8 seconds. He was also banned from doing weights. He died last year after a long battle with kidney disease. He totally revolutionised the game of rugby.
there are six brothers, all except Manu play for Samoa at international level while he chose to play for England because he grew up there. they play for various club teams in the UK. Manu and Alesana are the better known. There is a USA team that has reached the world cup, but it's a game played in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, France, England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Argentina, Italy, Japan even Canada. The seven's version may interest you, a game of two 7 minute halves, tournaments are played over 2 or 3 days, the USA has a quite good team in that version.
Gus Driving In Australia I actually think there are 7, but one doesn't play any footy and is actually fa'afine (Samoan transgender...scary thought a Tuilagi trans).
They have a brother called Olotuli ( or Julie) who dresses as a woman. She is known as a "fa’afafine, or third gender". In Polynesian culture. Its quite normal. She is over 6ft and rather strong .
That's sup good to see a Great channel that's open to watch everything and every nationality and sports out there you guys are great man I enjoy watching it with you guys showing love to all the cultures and Sports videos
There are six Tuilagi brothers: Freddie, Henry, Alesana, Anitelea (Andy), Sanele Vavae and Manu. The first five have played for Samoa and Manu played for England. They have another brother (Olotuli) who is gender fluid and goes by Julie
Thanks for mention my brothers, I'm manu the youngest of them all, we humble but we warrior, come play with us or against us, we samoan see what happen, first time saw this video, out of all 6 of us out middle brother the bulldozer was the meanest, but can't go thru me, u know we play since we're young, but we're humble brother. Much love
I am extremely fortunate to have watched two of the brothers, Alesana and Manusamoa play for the club I support (Leicester Tigers) for most of their careers. Seeing them in full flight, either with the ball or without is a sight to behold. The clip where many passes to Alesana who then scored, I was there! They were a force of nature that day and truthfully many other days too.
I watched a few videos and you guys are really on point instinct wise for a sport you don't know much about, and you chill and get right to it. Big UPS keep doing what you doing :)
hey guys so there is basically three types of rugby. there is rugby union (largest group of player base) then league, and auzzie rugby. union is what your watching here is broken down into several leagues european leagues, french leagues, super rugby which is southern hemisphere rugby and then you have international rugby which is the largest watch rugby and is also broken down into 2 categories 7's rugby (7 people on the pitch) and 15's rugby (15 people on the pitch) rugby can be a brutal sport at times but there is actually less injuries in union rugby then american football. that is due to the controlled tackling rather then shoulder checking tackling you see in american football and league rugby.
They have a sister you asked. They have another brother that's transgendered, he's even bigger and more robust. Names Judy...not sure what's his real name tho
Talking of *Rugby* playing brothers I was going to recommend watching a compilation of the *New Zealand* born, former *Bradford Bulls* playing brothers *Robbie Hunter-Paul* and *Henry Paul,* but it seems like there aren't any. There is however a blurry compilation of the *Bradford Bulls* legend *Robbie Hunter-Paul* by himself though. He still lives and works in the city to this day, and used to live next door to my cousin. There's also the former *Bradford Bulls* playing *Burgess* brothers who were born in *Dewsbury, West Yorkshire,* and the *Pryce* brothers who were born and live in *Bradford.* All 7 of these players are internationals in *Rugby League* and/or *Rugby Union.*
They have six brothers 11 Alex tuilagi 8 Henry tuilagi 12 Andy tuilagi 13 manu tuilagi 6 Freddie tuilagi and sanele vavae tuilagi 8 they all play for Leicester tigers
Chill on the name calling, I made a misinformed statement regarding whether its part of Samoan or accepted. All I do know ,and I heard it from a Tuilagi interview, is that there are many who live this way in Samoa. I am glad you don't live in a bigoted and backward nation where people can be themselves and not judged. I will talk about anything I want btw, whether it be correct or not. Just make the correction to me politely and I will be better informed. You took this all too personally, it was not an insult to you
its all good Toby Jug everyone is equal here in Samoa and Am.Samoa, thats why we Love our culture and ways...God made Humanity....its that simple brother........cuz we take our Fa'a Samoa from the veins to the Heart bro!!!....be bless!!!
Fun fact for u guys so u know... there are acc 7 siblings 6 play rugby, all gigantic and fast as tall.. all in all mostorous, 5 were in this vid, one wasn’t and the 7th is transgender... imagine that 6 of the biggest strongest people alive and then one transgender.. mad.. fair play to all
Thete are 6 Tuilagi brothers Freddie Tuilagi Henry Tuilagi Alasana Tuilagi Anitelea Tuilagi Sanele Tuilagi Manu Tuilagi all 6 play/played rugby however their is a 7th brother who does not play at all
Manu Tuilagi is 242 lbs , Alesana tuilagi is 273lbs henry Tuilagi is 282 lbs Anitelea Tuilagi is 260lbs 1057lbs total. basically half a ton of brothers
I would say not the best but the strongest..many country rugby teams put samoan players into a position of breaking the defensive lines of the other teams..they are good with it
Actually, there are 6 brothers playing or who played rugby. 2 are retired: Fred and Henry, the others are Anitelea, Alesana, and Vavae (who just as big as Henry) who plays for Samoa, and the youngest, Manu Samoa, ironically plays for England.
earned a thumbs up and a sub ;). Tuilagui family no matter size of brother when you play them you garanteed big hits, J&B Army , if you havent done yet check out any of this videos about them, Manu/Alessana or Henry tuilagui Beast Mode ;). have fun and peace out bros ;)
So basically guys there are 6 brothers, 4 play for samoa and one for england (manu). The other brother is transgender and lives in samoa. Manu and alesana used to both play for the same club but they don't anymore.
No there's 7 of them 5 play for Samoa but Freddie was the first one to play Manu for England and the brother Julie is transgender lives in Samoa so there's Freddie,Henry,Alesana,Vavae,Andy,Manu and Julie the transgender who lives in Samoa.
Yes it is a National sport, for about 8 countries at this level of play, and yes it is also a professional sport. National squad members depending on country can get up to 2 or 3 million for a 3 year contract, some get even more. The brothers who play for Samoa do not command as high a salary as other players but that is because Samoa is not as wealthy as NZ, Australia, England or South Africa. Manu plays in the European professional tournaments and plays for England as he grew up there and as such possibly earns the most of them all. However in the regional professional teams both in the Northern and Southern Hemisphere players can easily command salaries over $200000 a year. In the regional tournaments a player is able to play in a different country to the National team. In this way talented players can still earn good money regardless of what country they are from and obviously players are able to get sponsorship deals with companies further boosting the income. Salaries are nowhere as high as in Football ( Soccer) but not much below what NFL or American Baseball players earn
6 tackles is rugby league, the tuilagi brothers all play union which has not limit to how long you can posses the ball, but the other team is allowed to contest possession in the tackle and the ruck.
@@jeffwagner8576 No problem mate, Sonny Bill Williams an ex Kiwi league player and Current all black seemed to forget which code he was playing during an all black match of all places in his own ingoal, so mistakes like that are easy to make even for the professionals when they are sober.
Funny you mention what it would be like if they had a sister. Their "sister" was born as a male. She's Fa'afafine, which is basically like a third, non-binary gender in Polynesian culture. She's definitely big enough to take care of herself.
