- Enough is enough, I’m tired to this car now, struggle with a steering issue, car snapping when on angle.
We have had the best in the business set up the car but there is something going on that’s causing the car to snap when on good angle.
We do find some issues along the way.

Take other side coil over apart and check if something is missing at the top of the bad one surely.
New vlog coming this Sunday, I went a little over board but hopefully it all works out this weekend at the Irish drift championship 🤞🏼
Inner wheel arch can be a problem with wisefab because of low castor, some people cut it out and put a flatter sheet in that area (james deanes new s15 build has it)
The top mount can cause the problem, but theres suspended weight on it too and the rose joint type lca's can be stiff too from lack of maintaince, bc or hsd or meister r top mounts interchangeable so you can get them handy enough
My inner wheel arch’s are definitely going need replacing over the winter….lets just say they seem a few sledge hammers😅 hopefully with some new top mounts and all the rose joints freed up and well oil for this weekend we see some massive improvement 🤞🏼

Check jimmy Oakes video out, his steering assembly ( in the car literally from the steering wheel to the knuckle ) I’m not sure what it’s actually called, was super stiff and would spin him out on lock!

Hey that’s exactly why I decided to rip the steering rack out of the car to check that, luckily the joint is free to spin….i was hoping it would be stiff. But the seized top mounts could be the problem all along 🤞🏼
But I’d assume it’s the coils / top mounts your issue
Yeah get some tie rod boots on those inner tie rods.
The racks are definitely rebuildable. Lots of guys here in the States do it.

That top mount should be moving/spinning. That frozen one is definitely not put together correctly.
I’m very far from a mechanic but obviously once you diagnose any parts failure what about your caster and Ackerman, I’ve played a lot of sim
That’s some thing we are going to play with in our next test day,some say the geo master kit likes more caster then what other people say. I think for me I have to go off what feels best for me and my driving style as you do lots of sim driving your set up might not suit over people.
@@Niallgoesdrifting yeah for sure man, I just know those values and tyre pressures is huge for me in sim regarding spinning out as you say as are the bump and rebound, it’s a mine field but wishing you the best, I remember the days of your Jetta
Swap the top mounts out. You're nearly aswell to get some new coilovers then atleast you know they're good and they'll do you for a good while

Is that oil on the rack kinda silver looking? Rack dead metal in the leaking oil from it?
Yes you are correct the rack is not hetic, I noticed some glitter when draining the oil. We are going have risk it this weekend round there
@Niallgoesdrifting thought so, won't be helping with the bad handling tho. No way of getting another one in it?
