Never seen a break-down knife before. It's a neat concept, but wildly inconvenient. Never mind the fact I would somehow manage to lose the screw that holds it all together.
If there isn't a sheath, you need to carry it with the bottle opener out. So when you do need a knife, you need to pull out the allen key & reverse it? It is inconvenient & it makes no sense.

The knife looks pretty, but here are some suggestions for future projects! When making a multitool like this, the appeal of making it similar to a Swiss Army knife is strong. But having only one pin holding the blade in place puts a lot of tension on the handle. I’d recommend making a static blade with a longer tang, and putting more pins through the tang. You can still have the bottle opener on the other end, maybe even having a cover that can be taken off the bottom of the handle. Using wood can be more useful for a handle, especially with a longer tang. You can still fabricate the blade just as easily, as once you put wood slats on the outside of the tang, you can grind it to whatever shape you want the handle to be. I hope to see you continue to improve and make beautiful, functional pieces of art!
Koss, you've become quite the surgeon with the angle grinder and belt grinder!! So very impressive to watch your growth over the years. Thank You for all these wonderful designs and builds! As much as I love the simplicity and elegance of this one, perhaps you could add a feature to store a hex key or just use a thumb screw of some kind. Very trick would be a flat head screw with a fold over butterfly key head that would keep the design flat bodied. Just my thoughts, Always appreciate your fine craftsmanship. Hat Tip, ~PJ
I suggest investing in a band saw, I am well aware at your surgical abilities with an abrasive cutting wheel but I’d wager you’d save more money in the long run by using a band saw for the initial and larger cuts.

I don't know if it's already been mentioned in the comments but I really think you should intergrat this blade/ bottle opener design with your cross/ fold handle and locking mechanism. It would save you unscrewing the blade to swap it. Just changed it so the bottle opener is used in a different direction so the pressure on the locking mechanism would work 🔥
Wow, I love watching your video. You did a great job on this one. This is a really interesting design. Unfortunately I can't ever get to your shop in time to even see what the prices of your stuff is before it's already sold out 😅
Nice knife! A slight redesign and it could simply hinge on the screw and switch from knife to opener quite easily. Anyway, nice work. It's much better than all the knives I've ever made (0) LOL
This is a really cool knife, but in order for one to use it as either a knife to cut rope or open a really hard to open packages, or to use the bottle opener you have to unscrew the screw to switch to use either end.
Could potentially use a thumb screw or design it a slightly different way with a slot on the spine with a drop in pin trough the handle possibly with a magnet so you don't lose it , just an idea , but an interesting concept to be fair 👍
Change the screw to be something you can take out without a tool. A small recessed button with a shallow leaf spring so you can push it in and slide the blade out. It seems completely impractical otherwise. Sitting around drinking beers with your friends and you get a good buzz going and someone asks for a knife and you start drunkenly fiddling with the bottle opener like, hang on i gotta find my hex wrenches.
Excellent knife man! I don’t know if you have mentioned it in another video but can you please share where you buy the belts for the grinder? Thanks 🙏🏻
I mean, it looks great. Well executed, nice design, but given the fact that it disassembles, flips, and sheathes rather than folds, it's not a folding knife of any kind. Unless there's been some breakthrough in the pocket knife world that I have never heard of. I'd call this a pocket knife that can be disassembled and reassembled as a bottle opener. I'd call it a flip knife if that name wasn't already taken. Any of these things, but not a folding knife.
Aww... oh well. I was hoping it could fold out and back in. Taking out a screw driver to reassemble it each and every time you want to "switch modes" seems like quite the turnoff. And if I need to carry a screw driver at all times in case I need to reassemble it, I might as well just keep it in knife form and carry a bottle opener separately.

you could make it so the blade slides inside the handle and the bottle opener pops out at the end but looks more clean this way

The bottle opener is quite useless. You can open the bottle with the back of the blade. Anyhow, amazing work.
Это надо вместе с ножом носить шестигранник?
It is not a folder, but I like the knife.
С такой толщиной лезвия, можно было и стопор на пружинке замутить, вместо винта !!
Nice work but maybe use a thumbscrew instead of an allen screw?
I'm surprised you didn't make it a friction folder.

Wouldn't strong magnets be the better choice instead of a screw?
