Was This Super Bowl Attendee Trampled in ‘Human Avalanche’?

- Going to the Super Bowl was supposed to be a dream come true, but for one woman, it ended in bloody injury. Lita Abella, 63, went to her first-ever Super Bowl with her son, but that dream turned into a nightmare when Lita says she was suddenly caught in what some are calling a human avalanche. She was left with a concussion, torn rotator cuff, a broken nose and facial fractures. She blames the steep incline of the seats in the section of SoFi Stadium where they were sitting.
It’s terrible how quickly a dream come true can turn into a nightmare. I hope she has a speedy recovery.

The fact that stadiums have negligible barrier in front of seats is soo scary. I remember going to a stadium first time and it gave me a lot of anxiety. I think it should be mandatory for safety
Standing also protects you from Covid. So just stand.

Ive been to TONS of stadiums and arenas where the balcony seating is designed EXACTLY like this! Not to mention the 3.5 foot high "protective barriers" on the front row of the balcony seats! It boggles me how more of these accidents dont happen when you cram tens of thousands of drunk people into jungle gym seating sections.
Because walking in a straight line in a row isn’t too difficult

The steepness of the dangerous incline designed to accommodate a higher number of seats reminded me of those Victorian-era lower-class and middle-class houses with the very steep stairs; with the houses having a smaller surface area to accommodate more dwellings along a street and to reduce building costs, these houses were consequentially built with steeper stairs.
As a result, homeowners and servants were more prone to stair-related accidental injuries and deaths from tumbling down steeper stairwells than those living in upper-class mansions that had less steep stairs. You think architectural engineers would have already known better that implementing this kind of outdated measure would result in major consequences for future wrongful injury lawsuits from the Superbowl spectators.
Wow!!!
Bread and circuses
I have been to a basketball game 3 times…And each time i feel like will fall at any second on to someone,There is barely any space for anyone to walk in or out of there designated seat row section!
I went to an American Idol audition in New York City back in 2009. We were seated in a baseball stadium and I was actually terrified of how steep the incline was. The stands were full and I saw a few people fall forward into the people in front of them. The next year I made sure we wouldn't be in the same arena.
This comment so much, the servants back stairs were even worse than the front stairs, which were often made to be bigger and more grand for show. Servants literally had to turn their feet sideways to go on the stairs.
I just want to point out that without video evidence it's impossible to say for sure what happened. But the seats look unsafe, her injuries look awful, and her story is totally plausible. Especially with a bunch of drunks cheering an epic halftime show.
My guess is she was the only one around her who wasn’t drinking abunch and that’s why she suffered injury’s just like in drunk driver crashes the driver won’t be harmed but the sober one will be badly hurt cause they tense up which is exactly how rotator cuff injury’s tend to happen it makes me sick I bet the others whom fell were drunk and didn’t think it was a big deal being drunk and not realizing

$9,000 for a football game. $9,000 for a football game. $9,000 for a football game. Let that sink in. FOR NOSEBLEED SEATS
I think someone tripped, stumbled into her back, caught themselves from falling, but the collision unfortunately knocked her out of her seat injuring her. Thankfully wasn’t life threatening. I see why she hired an attorney, trying to recoup that $9K.
Even if she doesn’t have video, the person(s) who fell ON her, the person(s) SHE fell on, and the person(s) who helped her up, should be able to attest to the incident. Nor does it have to be a mob of ppl tumbling, just one, causing her to tumble may be the “avalanche” she speaks of. She obviously got very hurt somehow.
Yes....i can't imagine this lady causing these injuries to herself for a quick buck...and as steep and high up she was.... she could have died!

Well in these cases people don’t always recall events correctly. They can happen just like that with no warning at all. She says she got a concussion too, so maybe if she did it played a role in this. Either way she obviously got injured at the Super Bowl, and somebody needs to own up, whether it be a specific person or the safety guidelines.
