Its funny, now the CW continue to renew shows that sit at 600 - 700k viewers (Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, Charmed reboot, Roswell reboot) - but Melrose hovered at just over 1 million viewers and it got the axe.
Agreed. This new remake started out with a bang then was so stagnant for too long then when it finally picked up people stopped caring :( unfortunate really.
Recently I just got into watching Melrose Place 2.0 and had they had more catfights/crazier plots then I'm sure the show would've been a success. However, it got better when Amanda came back. When Amanda forces Ella to betray Ryley, it really shows how evil she truly is. But Ella always seems like a stronger person when she's by herself.
They had nothing. They needed me there to give the writers insight of the original! No pas or staff knew it! Carter would have kidnapped Sydney. She inherits his money when he dies and that makes her buy MP. Maybe Ella would be Amanda and Jack Parezzi’s daughter (Palmer took her away and faked her death when Amanda was presumed dead)…
I knew this re vamped version would be canceled just as fast as it started. this just wasn't enough to live up to the legacy that the original show created. the writing on the show was extremely dull, some things should be left alone.
The biggest problem here was changing the courtyard so much. The old nice more realistic courtyard was the main character, and changing it just made this lame show being even lamer.
This series revamped sucked because it is too fast paced. Theirs no actual drama that can sit with the viewer without a new scene and new camera shot appearing. They should of just followed the old melrose place script as far as camera angles and theme music.

Uhhh... right, 1 dimensional characters are always engaging... Amanda's interesting because she's a bitch but also a person. Seems like 2009 forgot that.

The original show was messed up and neglected by these writers. Carter Galvstone…he faked syds death…not Michael. Would have made more sense.
