Great lesson, Justin. It's easy for someone to say you're the best teacher on RUclips. Well, I haven't seen them all, but you certainly stand apart from the ones I've seen. The reason is your focus on timing. You always talk about it make it a part of the practice. Copying what a teacher is doing is ok, but when you slow down and practice, it's so important to be able to practice it right. Thanks so much.

Any chance you could do where is my mind by the pixies at some point? Kind of fits in with the genre of songs you’ve been doing lately. Cheers
I'm about to go try it out but it looked like, besides the more complex strumming pattern, I saw a couple chords in there I haven't seen before (e sus7 I think he said) and the trick to mute the thinnest string. They all seem like they would be good to learn. I'm still very new and I feel like I'm real close to a breakthru in understanding how to play. I'm sure learning this will be very helpful.

Great lesson. Thank you, but I do have a question. In the Guitar Tab that appears in the video for the G chord and the Em chord, it shows string 5 as not being played. Was that just a "typo" on the tab?
Hi Frank. On the G chord, Justin is muting the A string entirely so even if the plectrum brushes it in a strum motion it doesn't sound. The pattern though is all about the 6th string bass note then the picked pattern on strings 2, 3 and 4. Similarly with the Em though string 5 isn't muted and may get lightly brushed with the pick. But it is again all about the 6th string bass note then those middle strings. Cheers | close 2u | JustinGuitar Official Guide & JG Forum Mod [ justinguitarcommunity.com/index.php ]
