Finally, Someone who takes jumps on a stock wr155, I did one with my own wr155, and was low-key kinda worrying if the bike is capable for that kind or jumps, turn out it was just me being really anxious
in indonesia BRT also release bore up 200cc kit for wr155r and its get around 22hp on dyno, but with VVA technology on yamaha and 6speed i think its have advantages too, especially on high rpm.
@@Broadus45 Got complete BRT kit. From Plug and Play Performance in Indonesia. 50k for everything including Shipping and Customs. My local mechanic did it in about 5 hours. 4k since done. No problems at all. Have 2 friends do the same. No problems. 👍
Id rather go with the Hondas... Wr155 has lots of disadvantages on its category and its more expensive than the two, by the way mate, the XR 150 is more with an adventure dual sport type of bike... You shouldve only compared the Crf150l and the Wr155.
GoodPM Sir/Ma'am, i'm planning to buy mOto and now I'm studying/doing research for the CRF 150 and WR 155 for which is best for my money...just curious about the WR 155 that you said it has a lot of disadvantages on it's category...what are those and why?..may i request for your help for me to decide between the two Moto...will it be CRF 150 or WR 155?..thanks much sir/ma'am more power and Godbless
Now, in 2024, does your concern about finding parts for WR still standing? I am wondering what's my next move after XR. I am looking for a second hand KLX. Is that a good idea?
@@Tigitmotorbikes thank you so much Sir for taking the time to reply to my question. Much appreciated! Im thoroughly researching because it will be my first bike
Yamaha just launched WR155 in Nepal 🇳🇵 at the price of USD 5800. I am tempted to upgrade my Yamaha XTZ 125 because it lacks the torque to comfortably climb hills and mountains of the Himalayas. The Honda CRF 250 does very well in the mountains but is priced much higher. Since you mentioned that WR155 power is very comparable to CRF 250, I would assume it will do just as good as CRF 250 if not any better. Do you agree? Thanks!

I have pondered your question for a few days, and you have a point. Though, in my head, the statement is based around the idea of buying a WR450 or Suzuki DRZ second hand for around 3000/4000usd. But you are right, when it comes to a new bike. My argument falls flat.
hi jonathan, so I'm 13 and ive just had a suzuki ds80 and im trying to get into offroad dirtbiking but not to hardcore stuff I've found a really cheap XR150 for sale for about $500 nz dollars. Do you think that itwould be a good bike to start off roading. I know you already said it's good for begiiners but i think you were talking about adults so just wondering. Thanks heaps.
A point I miss in this video is that the XR150 has 17 inch back wheel. This means they are basically no tire chices. For this reason alone it is not a good choice of bike for getting into offroading. For plodding round a farm then sure, but if you actually want to "drive" then you need something better.
I live in Indonesia and have the Yamaha MT15 (basically same engine as the WR, with some tuning differences I assume). I also have a CRF150L and of few months ago the new CB150X. As you can see i am a 150 "local" bikes guy. I just rode the WR for three days, I was really looking forward to it since I love the MT15 engine. Well this is where things went bit wrong for me with the WR and I would argue that for some it really is not the better bike. Since the engine comes out off a road bikes, it is not well suited for this type of bike, unless you go all out, rev it and keep it there. Not much happens below 5k or so, the engine lacks torque of the CRF motor. The variable valve timing does nothing judged by the seat of my pants. In my MT15 the engine is super refined, with the VVT you can feel the power continue to red line. In the WR engine produces, unpleasant, rod knock like noise around that 5K again. The first gear seems to tall for the low torque motor, I was doing lot more shifting riding the WR. Suspension, its still the the same inexpensive stuff, on my CRF with internal preload fork adjustment, thicker and bit higher oil level fixed the front end. In the back YSS shock. As for overall quality, the WR is bit cheap and unfinished in some areas. The passenger foot pegs don't have up locking provisions, just rely on friction of the bracket, side panels seem unfinished, exposing lots of the frame, electrical connections and such. There are hoses, thermostat, drain tubes all over the bike. Looking down at your dash, you get to look at exposed big electrical connection dust/rain cover........Yes there is lot more info on the cluster, yes there is a folding gear lever, nice touch. For all out speed/acceleration performance, yes the WR wins. But for tight trails, 'adventure" type of riding I think the CRF is not a bad choice. Last is the maintenance issue, CRF wins hands down. Air cooled, simple, valve lash adjustment is a 15 min job. It also features ingenious, centrifugal, internal oil filter, so oil change is 5 min. I really wanted to like the WR, but I will stay with the CRF.
A lot of good points. And this is the reason Tigit has still not bought any Yamaha WR 155's. Infact, long term owners of the bike don't seem to particularly like it! I did pick up on the maintenance issue in this video (this video was at launch of the bike). I was correct, and people struggle to maintain it.
I do not think so, WR has a lot of power and torque than crf, I bought mine 2 months ago, I'm using it for hard trail, I just change the front sprocket to 13T boom a lot of torque coming out. one thing I like this bike has a liquid cooled. No worries in overheating. good for enduro and road
Finally an English review on wr 155 👍👍👍🇳🇵
Glad you liked it

Yes i like yamaha wr 155r i love to yamaha
Haha same here, been renting for too long but no parts for the wr155r :(

Lovely bikes and great to learn on.
As of now on XR, looking to ride one day on WR
There's no CRF 150 here in my country but XR costs 4.8k while WR costs 5.5k. What we do have is XR 190 at 5.7k.
The WR155 is 77m brand new at the Yamaha dealer in D7. I'm thinking of buying one.
Had an XR and your observations are correct. Got a CRF and did a BRT 238 Bore kit. Now has 26.7 HP. 😊 Bike and Kit were still less than WR.
Much better than the standard wr155r

Any update on the Wr155 situation? It seems like such a solid machine, but is it confirmed yet regarding the sourcing of replacement parts?
Not easy, but no harder than the XR or CRF 150 to be honest. It does share alot with the Yamaha Exciter.
The WR155R is a big seller in Thailand with a great backup service, it pisses all over the KLX230 and CRF300L off road

hello sir. im torn between buying a used crf 250l 2014 model or a new wr155. may I as what is your opinion on this? thanks! ride safe
If you plan on long trips, then the CRF 250L.
If you plan to do alot of offroad / Enduro / or just practice then the WR 155.
@@Tigitmotorbikes thank you so much Sir for taking the time to reply to my question. Much appreciated! Im thoroughly researching because it will be my first bike
The XR150L could have perform better if it's geared like the CRF150 15T - 49T sprocket and 18 - 21 knobby tires.
True that. Made difficult by its weird sizes wheels.
Love the blue and that top speed..
