What are wiring harness connectors for? If uninstall my current mirror and install one with a suction cup, do I have to worry about the harness connectors?

It’s probably dimmable mirror that went bad. Sun & temperature can destroy it & it ends up being dimmed permanently.

Will this work on a Silverado 2012 ltz? Mine looks like you’re all dark around the corners kinda like it’s peeling or something.
