I run a 21 z950, your assessment was pretty spot on, suspension is stiff from the factory. On my machine I set compression to full soft on low speed, left high speed compression at 9 clicks. Still handles pretty good and rides much nicer. Also tires are set to like 18 psi from the dealer, set them to 8psi. Night and day difference. The 950 has been very good so far, I do miss riding a regular quad, the 1000 might have a spot in the garage next year for my daughter's to run...or me lol
Just picked up my very own 2022 overland this afternoon from Maxxim Motorsports in Oakville. They were great on helping me with the purchase and future maintenance schedules. Thank you Dirt Trax for your deep down honest opinions and advice. Hope to see you out on the trails.
Just got a brand new overland 1000 in the states. I was wondering why they mounted the auxiliary led light switch in such a strange spot. It now makes sense , to leave room for the mirrors on Canadian and euro versions. Im happy with it so far except with one pretty major flaw. Their paint on the frame is thin and cheap. Im already seeing rust spots along welds on a brand new machine. They need to step their paint game up and they will be even closer to their competitors
We bought 1 of these and we absolutely love it!!! its kinda weird that the HP is different in Canada and the US. The US model has 79 HP and the Canadian version has 74 HP.
Handful of questions here... how would you compare the C1000 to a sportsman 850 touring as far as power/ handling? There's a $2k difference in price, but I have a feeling the polaris is far superior, but is missing the storage box, and winch. Is the C1000 more comparable to the 570 touring as far as power and handling? I'm not happy polaris hasn't updated the 570 touring styling/suspension, battery location, etc.
Thank you Dirt Trax, I'll bring in my notes into the shop to prepare for our next order. We've been doing maintenance on some CFORCE 800s sold by other dealers so we've got a handle on them. Once pricing and availability comes out, and hopefully some word on the UFORCE 600 utility, all we have to do is predict future sales and order up. Easy enough?
Hi .. ı live in Turkey and ı have cf 1000. I want to buy a front windshield visor, but ı didnt find it. Where did you buy it or which website can I find it? Do you send a link? Thanks in advance.🙏🙏
Hey bud, what is this rear seat close off panel?? Does it come with standard cforce 1000? I cannot find any info on it anywhere, manual, video reviews, cfmoto website, nothing.
I have seen it. I’m just waiting to get one here in Halifax. I put a small down payment. Just want to really see what you guys think. It’s my first side by side after driving atv’s for so long, plus they are so expensive , want to the sure
This is the same size as my 800xc, Except engine. So my question is…can I get that storage box for my 800. The only option I get from my dealer is the soft storage. This should fit my 800 because the back rack is the same.
Everyone says they are scared to buy CF Moto because they are not well known or not reliable. I may be considering cfmoto after my experience with well known name brands. My 2019 can am outlander max radiator and primary clutch went out under 200 miles. My daughters 2020 can am outlander 450 center bolt head to secondary clutch sheared off at around 70 miles and my 2021 yamaha 450 kodiak SE dies out while riding. I'm thinking at times I should have chosen differently but wheres the fun in that. Without these obstacles life would not be a challenge. I look forward to my next break down, I need a bigger obstacle in life. If your machine is not breaking down and you're not getting stuck you're not riding right.
So my 800 preload was set full stiff I got the rear done and it’s good but the front u have to remove the shocks to do it . So the initial hit is painful.
Great Video as usual! Your quality is second to none! I am looking for a offroad vehicle to hunting and do some forestry work with here in Germany. I still am not sure if i can make myself buy a small machine like this if for the same price i can buy a used pick up truck. Sadly we dont really have a market for used quads because they are very niche here :/
Its hard to say. It depends on what you consider valuable. Its priced competitively, comes with a long list of great features and includes stuff you pay extra for on other units. It rides well, handles well and has good power. Longevity wise, as usual, I cant comment. Here in canada theres a decent dealer network so getting service isnt a problem.
My previous atv was a Can am outlander 650xt.. I just bought a 2021 Polaris Sportsman 850 premium and love it.. I have a buddy that has a cfmoto 500 and he likes it.. CFmoto are gaining popularity because of the price point, and they seem to be decent machines.. Honestly, I do not dig the Cfmoto lineup and will never own one..
Even if they're decent machines I won't support and communist country like China. It's not worth the minor savings in comparison to the overall cost of these vehicles in the long run. Either way, great review you guys! Top notch quality as always!
I get it, I bought a cfmoto to support my local dealer and because paying an extra 5 or 6 grand for an American made machine assembled from alot of Chinese parts doesn't make me patriotic. I was torn with the decision then read reviews on all the manufacturers. Best bang for the buck
@@wickedmainah950 I paid 15k for my outlander 850 with a rear box, rear seat, pegs and a windshield which has about the same hp as the cfmoto 1000 and that atv is 15k too so you really don't save that much.
GenSparks. The CFmoto almost has skid plates. A 3000 pound winch, bead lock rims. Horn, blinkers and hazard lights AND a 5 year warranty. There’s another $3000+ value already
cf moto check and mate... Id sure give up some useless on trail horses for a lot more "standard" useful extras. Not spend 20k then another 5k to actually use the thing....Also maybe you guys (dirt trax) could do a "tow" test/ explanation of real world (amounts when loaded right) for the cheap seats. Cause guys will by crying about the numbers...
IMO it's under powered. The 1000's from Polaris/Can-am 5 years ago had 80+hp. This thing still in 2023 has a bigger motor and doesn't even hit the 80hp mark yet. All while the other guys have 800/850s with as much hp as the Cforce 1000. When this hits the 85-90hp range I think it will be a hit (it's the same motor as the Zforce 950's so there is no reason it can't get there.
Hi there Dirt Trax. I have a cfmoto 1000 and i would like to know if the cover for the second passanger is compatible with the cfmoto 1000. If yes i can manage to carry more things on my Cf. ohhh and you are right on how ugly those back cases are. I have a original cfmoto case for my atv with 100L capacity thats far way more beautiful. And yes this machine is 5 stars. got 3000km on mine with no issue.
It reduces the wind force you're getting. Its for comfort, as it said in the video, the overland is not for everyone. if u dont like this version, then get the normal 1000
If it would've been the same atv, but being said its made in america? do you think that all other brands parts are manufactured in their country? most of them in china.
Did you type this on an "american" made electronic...lol And actually now that they partnered with ktm, ,its more austrian than chinese.... Hence the up in quality and design..

You always give a smashing review! God bless & all the best!
Thank you so much!!
Outstanding, quick, and to the point review.
Love the review! Wish they'd hurry up and bring them to the states!
They are! Have been for years
The run it a bit lean from factory. If you do a ecu tune you'll get another 12-14hp
Hopefully they’ve fixed their brake issues. Bought a cforce 500 in 2017, and it’s been in the shop more than on the trail.

Way more power
And the suspension/ride will be drastically different.

Can they be fitted with road tyres
will the cfmoto cforce 500 ever be reviewed, ik it was reviewed like 4 yrs ago
How much would payments range on one of these
$219 and up a month for 60 months depending on credit.
When are you going to review the 2021 Can Am Commander XT? Get on it!!!! Haha
We have one on site now and are working on a few segments featuring it. Have you watched AJ's overview that he did this winter?

Look for the Tesseract boxes for your rig. They are very good and designed specifically for the cfmoto line.

Do you turn the suspension softer or leave it stock?
Usually always adjust the suspension to my preference on any offroad vehicle.

Buy a small 450cc it will do the same work as a 1000cc.1/3 the price.
Really has a can am vibe…
good 👍

yes it is.
Cf moto atm is top seller on europe.

Probably just as expensive as the outlander 1000
Probably similar price to the base model OL, but equipped like an XTP. That's usually how CFMOTO does it.
