After Nick pulls Ben off Charlie, and Nick's texting Charlie later to check up on him, he types out several things and then deletes them. As the conversation goes on, he does end up re-typing and sending everything he had previously deleted. I always felt that it was both cute and sweet as well as a good way to show Nick's character, that he does (at least eventually) always says what he means/wants.
One you missed: they introduced Isaac to Nick twice. Once in episode 4 after the rugby match and then again at Charlie’s birthday party they introduce him to Nick.
In case you missed it. episode 2, about 7.5mins in, Charlie is scrolling through his DMs with Nick and Tao leans over and rolls his eyes. If u slow down the frames as Charlie continues to scroll, you can see some of the DMs which are playful banter . They go something like : N: "I like talking to you. Also I'm really bored! I have a geography project to do C: "ew why'd you choose geography?" N: "Coz I'm an idiot! What did you pick?" C: "Music, Latin, Spanish, Classics" N: "You picked 4?? Omg you're so smart! Also you can't criticize me for choosing geography when you have LATIN" C: okay true true. You can solve global warming while I learn a dead language. N: Seriously why Latin? C: Coz it's cool N: Wow. I'm judging you so hard right now C: ffs I am cool actually N: You have been exposed as a nerd C: rude!! N: a cool nerd C: better. N: lmao
7 isn’t really a mistake. Nick just changed his grip in order to hold Charlie’s hand as they were walking away. He would have to let go to do that. Also a huge on when Nick is talking to Tara at rehearsal, how she is holding her jacket. In one of the takes she is holding the loop by one finger then when they cut back she is holding it with her whole hand which isn’t visible
Glad you mentioned the phone use because even my 11 year old picked that up! My biggest one would be when they're running down the hall in couples, back to the concert. Tao was right behind Nick and Charlie and there was no way he didn't see them grab each other's hands.
I know what you mean but I can just about get over this one because Tao hates running and he is a bit behind so Iu can see him focusing on that instead
This is so good! Your editing style suits the show really well! When Imogen says ‘I’m a qualified hair stylist’ and messes up nicks hair, his hair goes from being messy to neat to messy 😅
The first I noticed is in episode 1 when Ben texts Charlie to meet after the rugby practice. Nick couldn't notice anything was off with Charlie in the changing room because Charlie recieved the texts while walking out, with his back to Nick.
thank you!! i noticed this too but put it down to ben sending the message during the practice and charlie only reading the message properly once he left the building but at least seeing there was one from him
I thought that the "something was up while we were getting changed" could have been Charlie trying to avoid changing in front of Nick or the other boys, potentially because of his crush or his body image issues
This has bothered me too as the book does the scene in the locker room but the show has him check the text outside and makes Nick look like a stalker. But I chalked it up to a difference in how the director chose to film the scene. I would have preferred keeping true to the book as it doesn't make sense how it's shown in the show.
There are also at least 3 long haired boys at Truham walking around blatantly breaking the "chin length or above" hair rule in the background and I can't unsee them. You can see a guy with a full on ponytail in the "hi" montage behind Charlie when they start walking together.
This could be entirely deliberate to make the point that it's transphobia rather than rule breaking which is the problem for Elle. For all we know these dudes are constantly being excluded for their hair length too!
I was hoping someone else would mention the Christian, Sai, Otis thing at the cinema. I must have paused it an abnormal amount of times to confirm their discomfort. Hopefully we will see more of them in seasons 2 and 3!
Yeah, me too. Similarly, Imogen looks worried when Charlie gets injured in the rugby match and Ben and the others just carry on chatting/ laughing. I really like this as before this scene Imogen is annoying but afterwards she starts being better.
You missed this one: When Charlie is sitting on the floor in the art room in episode 1, around the 9 minute mark, keep an eye on his book bag. It's not always positioned the same. In the overhead shot, it's one way, and then on the floor level shots it is sometimes fully upright and sometimes leaning on his leg.
There's a trivia in episode 1, when Charlie daydreams about Nick saying he's gay too and he's inviting him to join the rugby team, the Truham symbol on Nick's suit changes from "swords" to "hearts" ♥
I am impressed with the attention to detail! I think some of the 'mistakes' are explainable: I have worked in 3 British secondary schools and inconsistently applying phone rules is completely standard (as is not being able to use them at lunch, which seems to shock US viewers); Tao's mum could easily have been out when Elle comes over in Ep 2; when Nick goes a different way out of Charlie's house in Ep 6 his mum might be picking him up and parked across the street, or he might be going somewhere other than straight home ( I think we can assume he's going home in Ep4 as he's drenched!). I would love to see an 'unanswered questions of Heartstopper' video, starting with 'do Imogen and Nick agree Saturday for their date or does she just decide and then go round telling everyone?' Can't think of others off the top of my head but I have many more!
@@MM-fe9mz Yes, I agree! But then wouldn't the clash have been the perfect excuse to get out of it? I guess Nick was just feeling so conflicted and guilty about it that he convinced himself he could do both.
@@modestysnooze6154 time wise they didn't really clash much, bowling was at 4, then dinner maybe 7is, and he would have felt awkward telling Imogen he was ditching her for Charlie.. in a way that could have been misconstrued as him outing himself since most guys wouldn't ditch a chick for a boy.
In episode 5, when Nick eavesdrops on Tao and Charlie, he didn't hear the part where Tao said Nick was gonna go on a date with Imogen, and yet, later, Nick told Charlie that he's sorry about that supposed date.
This part has bothered me a tiny bit. Not staying true to Nick's character - it almost looks like he was hiding the date for a whole week, but also Imogen was 'telling everyone about it' - so shouldn't have been something that Charlie wouldn't have heard about before hand. But, back to Nick's character, and the show does try to show this, he wasn't hiding it, he was trying to figure out how to get out of it. So his apology to Charlie always bugs me a little. The intent was to add drama but I think in doing so it sells Nick short a little, the character himself, in my humble opinion, would never have left Charlie in the dark and jeopardize his friendship/relationship, especially since he is well aware of the Ben and Ben's secret girlfriend issue.
@@blavyn12 Yes, it turns out that not telling Charlie about the date with Imogen is one of the secrets from the episode before. Maybe knowing what happened with Ben, he thought he could just handle it tactfully with Imogen and he wouldn’t have to say anything or he could say something after the fact.
I also noticed that in the Lambert Art Exhibition, the scene where Isaac meets a guy who tells him about being aroace, when the man told him "Living in a world where you feel something about you is different than other people" or something along the lines of that, the background lights are red, indicating stress and frustration. But when he continued talking, he said "But then... freedom." the background lights turned purple, which is a light and relaxing colour, indicating freedom. I don't know if this little detail was intentional or not, but it's still really good.
When Nick overhears Tao and Charlie in the bathroom, they've long moved from the Imogen thing, but later Nick talks to Charlie as if he had heard the whole conversation.
When Charlie offers to do nicks maths work and he accidentally draws on him, you see the work in his hand but when he does the smiley face it disappears!!
the “your such a dweeb” subtitles is because originally they said “that’s actually really really cute” during filming but they dubbed over it to say “your such a dweeb” but i guess they only dubbed it in some countries? then instead of muting nick saying “they’re actually really really cute” they just lowered the volume so you can actually hear him say both lines and then charlie respond with “they are really cute” it’s just really quiet
I rewatched it, I still hear "that's actually really, really good." But you're right, the music really made it hard to hear so I think the person who did the subtitles just misheard it and subs from other languages just went with it.
i can't believe you noticed all these things! the one about tao getting charlie a cat could be about it replacing nick but it could also be a birthday present as that episode was before the birthday episode :)
Brilliant. I missed most of these. The pencil case switch is the first I noticed and it distracts me every time that scene comes up when I rewatch. The one you did not catch that is also very distracting to me is Charlie's first visit when he puts his hand over Nick's mouth. When they get up and notice the snow, Charlie is suddenly holding the game controller in both hands again!
Charlie is supposed to be left handed and thus he has written notes on his right hand, but later we see him holding spoon and also writing with right hand, all of them in episode 1.
In ep7 at the cinema, Nick is scared and puts his hands on top of Charlie’s, but in the next shot Charlie’s hand is on top and he pulls it back and says sorry
But if you watch carefully, Charlie pulls his hand out from under Nick’s. His sorry is just another case of taking responsibility for something that wasn’t his fault!
Nick flinches and grabs for the arm of the chair due to the scare, but Charlie's hand was already on the chair arm (probably just resting it there); this causes Nick to grab Charlie's hand as a result. Charlie apologizes (of course) for having his hand already there so that Nick grabbed it by 'accident'.
Great list, but the one about Nick leaving Charlie's house in two different directions can be reasonably explained in a number of ways. For example, in one case he could be heading back home, but in the other case he's simply making another stop somewhere else to perhaps pick something up from a shop
Great clip. I have TWO more if you are interested. Bag Label swaps sides when Nick gives Charlie his Birthday present at the bowling alley. Tao's hand are by his side when he sits up on the table in the art room with Elle, but when she grabs his hands they are on his lap. Enjoy.
I wouldn’t really consider number five a mistake as most people I know in the uk ( not all but most ) live on blocks so they have neighbours beside behind diagonal and in front so you could go either way! And depending on the weather (in this case rainy and sunny) you. Can choose a shorter or a longer route.
Caught a number of them. I noticed a few of those that could have been easily explained. For example, Tao’s mother wasn’t home when Elle visited previously. The day that Nick turned right he could have been going on an errand before going directly home. Can’t remember other one (or possibly two). (Also, his friends not being supportive-the series is different from the book, and I’m assuming they’re saving that for the next season.)
Oh yeah, with the phone rule, the students may have learned which teachers enforce the rule and which don’ts, and the teacher who enforced it that once day probably cycles into and out of lunch duty just like most teachers do with it not being something they do every day.
thank you for validating my theory of the nick and Imogen scenes from ep5and6!! people always told me I was wrong when I pointed that out but it's so nice to know I really was right all along!
Damn! The attention to detail. Look like someone is watching Heartstopper every day. Kidding! This reminds me of my cousin and his classmates that got hooked on High school musical and used to watch it every day. He used to tell me they memorized all the details and tease each other using the movie lines during their free time at school.
Brilliant ! I didn't notice most of them but about the dark and bright thing between Ben and Nick there was a scene when Ben and charlie sitting in a very dark place with Ben saying " we are not boyfriends when Charlie invited him to come over and the scene when Nick confirmed out loud " you are my boyfriend at their first date at the beach under the suniest day ever both wore yellow and orange outfits and nick telling him he wants to come out also about the light nick was often showed in the bi colors and ben in the dark
Also - the Where's Charlie Scene(s) - Tao and Isaac are at the picnic table, Tao states Charlie is probably eating with Nick, 3 seconds later, Nick, Harry, and the rugby lads show up - this is where Tao hits Nick with the football - so he knew almost immediately Charlie wasn't with Nick, but it never comes up after. Then, when Nick sits down with Tao at the picnic tables later, Nick assumed Charlie would be there. But, he knows about the Art room and Charlie going there sometimes for lunch, so he knows absolutely where Charlie is at. Lastly, episode 8 - Charlie avoids Nick, but they have form together and the show completely drops/doesn't show what this looks like under these circumstances. Oh, and Sports Day - Singh tells Tao he has to run - Charlie is not in ear shot, but immediately walks up and is like 'I'll run it for you' - Charlie quit the rugby team beforehand so wouldn't he have had to sign up for an event as well?
@@blavyn12 that is because he exchanged place with Tao. But either they did not show Tao and Elle doing theirs or they hid so they wouldnt have to do any
@leachante5242 if the topic of the video was theorizing ways to correct mistakes they made in the show, sure. But, no line of dialog nor anything shown would support your theory.
It's not a mistake. 1:03 If you look again you see Charlie has 2 pencil cases. When Charlie picks up his stuf he has the brown one he holds it on the bottem of the stack he's holding. The one Nick gives back to him is a yellow and brown striped one.
Tao’s hand placement in episode 8 when they are in the art room. When he sits up they are on his sides, but when Elle grabs one hand they are between his legs.
One I found is kind of complicated. So Tara and Darcy meet in the music room with the door that locks itself, and that room is established to be at higgs. When it comes time to do the spring concert, the higgs girls spend the whole day at truham practicing, hence, we can safely assume the concert is happening at truham because the concert scene happens in the same room as the rehearsal scene. However, when Tara runs out right before the concert (at truham) starts, she ends up in the music room. I doubt she ran all the way to higgs from truham just to get some privacy, but I understand that the writers needed the mechanics of that room (self locking door) for the scene.
@@cursedkaleidoscope the gym's are definitely different, seems odd to lug equipment back n forth, but rehearsal gym is red floor blue walls concert gym is blue floor yellow walls.
Also why was there no service when Darcy checked her phone while they were locked in there? Like its the middle of a school which is in town, how would the service not reach? They could've just not had her check, and had the conversation without her trying to get out. I think about it every time I watch it
Not sure if anyone caught this one: S1:E3 @ 16:53. When Nick finds Charlie again after Harry dragged him off to talk to Tara. Nick goes to sit down and there is a clock on the wall that reads 3:15. Do you think that is AM or PM?
another trivia: the whole show is painted in blue and orange. Nick´s wearing blue like about 90 % but at the beach he´s wearing a bright orange shirt the first time coz it´s the moment he "breaks free" and dosn´t wanna hide anymore. Also the umbrella scene shows the blue and orange with their shirts and the umbrella itself
Also in the scene where Nick is coming out to his mum, you can see a rainbow in the doorway which I thought was rlly cute as he's coming out as bi (part of the LGBTQ+)
The one with Tao's mum and Elle, she might not have been in that day (although who let Elle in?), but also the one in E02 happens soon after February Half Term, whereas the one in E03 happens on Harry's Birthday (17th April), so they are a couple of months apart.
I’ve noticed how messed up the time frames are in season 2. In the last episode of s1 Charlie and Nick go on a date on Saturday to the beach and the same night he confesses to his mum that he’s bi, yet in the first episode they say “ I came out to my mum yesterday “ despite that would mean they were at school on Sunday. Also sports day is usually the final week of school, so surely it would’ve been the summer holidays as a time gap and not just the next week?
I missed: Nicks grey sweat pants in ep3&4 when he ran to Charlie’s house in the rain. Nick and his sweater were wet, but the pants were dry the whole time.. until the end of the scene when he left with the umbrella?? The pants also stayed dry in the (fake😄) snow
At Charlie's house Nick leaves And then Charlie goes to chase him But his sneaker is only half on and he doesn't stop to fix it before running out in the rain to kiss Nick
this is from season 2, so with the specific symbols for each couple since the one for elle and tao is butterflies in episode 6 where they went to the louvre tao is wearing a butterfly print shirt and i think that was like just to symbolize their relationship finally blossoming properly and them just moving on to the more romantic side of their relationship which i think is really cool ❤
My favorite mistake is Tori using her "older sister magic" in episode 6 to make her drink magically change; when she walks into the room and is talking to Charlie while he is on his bed the drink is some colored liquid but as Charlie run past Tori after the knock on the door the drink is then magically completely clear (presumably has turned to water) when she actually sips on it
There is no mistake. Tori was wearing only dark clothes that optically colored the water. When the scene changed, there was a light wall (or something like that) behind the glass and you could see that the water was clear.
I wouldn’t necessarily call this a mistake since they did it on purpose but in Ep. 1 when Nick and Charlie are in the corridor on the way to maths, there’s a bunch of students in the background walking in circles. Keep your eye on the infamous ponytail boy. He pops up a lot.
These are good! :) But my favourite one is NOT on the list! 😰😱In episode 2, when 'snowday' is happening, the sky is actually clear blue and the sun is shining like crazy.😂
I'm also irrationally mad at them for leaving the door open when they go out into the snow. It's meant to look nice and aesthetic for them to go out and then call Nellie out, but they don't shut the door behind them when it's so cold outside that it's snowing, but it's warm enough inside to not need a jumper. Olivia Coleman has quite the electricity bill to pay after that day. On you Nick.
Can’t remember anyone commenting on the fact that in E3 when Charlie’s mum asked him to answer the door as it may be the postman, we have already seen that the date is Sunday 21 March when Charlie checks his phone for messages. As everyone in the UK knows, there is no postal delivery on a Sunday, except, occasionally, near Christmas. I’m sorry for drawing attention to such a nit-picky, pedantic point.
In addition, Charlie brushed his teeth in the bathroom and ran to the door. The toothpaste must have tasted great because he didn't rinse it out of his mouth.
In the bowling alley, when Tao and Elle are talking in the foreground, you can hear Charlie talking to Nick about his arms, before they talk about them again in the foreground. When Nick is leaving in the rain and Charlie is struggling to get his shoes on, he doesn't get one shoe on, but runs out with it not on his foot. Charlie had the milkshakes, and got a smoothie at the bowling alley. Maybe Tao's mom not having seen Elle for months just means she wasn't home when Elle came, Can we also add that Tao's mom must have known Elle before she transitioned, but has no problem at all with her, and even considers her a girl when she tells Tao to leave the door open. In the Winter book, the story that takes place at Christmas, Charlie says he and Nick are about the same height, but Nick is more muscular, so his shirts are too big for Charlie.
You missed this one: in the scene where Nick saves Charlie from Ben by pushing him away, before Ben tried to kiss Charlie, he puts both of his bags on the floor. After Nick pushes Ben away suddenly Charlie had 1 bag on his shoulder already while he’s picking up the second bag.
One that not many people have notice is that the music room is both at Truham and Higgs?? At first it’s Tara and Darcy after they first went there and then it’s on the music concert which was happening at Truham
That’s been puzzling me for months! Glad I’m not going mad. As if rewatching the series endlessly isn’t already evidence enough that something’s a bit wrong with me…
On french class, when Tara says that Darcy's french was horrible, she uses one hand when Darcy speaks badly in french, the camera change, and then Tara is using the other hand :D
In episode 7 there is a scene where Harry asks Charlie if he likes Nick, Charlie responds by saying that Nick isn't even his type, but when saying that, Charlie visibly winks toward Nick. I thought that was really cute.
I’m not sure if this is a mistake or not , but Harry’s party was on a Saturday night so when nick goes round to Charlie’s the day after it is a Sunday … Charlie’s mum tells Charlie to get the door it must be the postman … in UK we don’t have post on sundays
@@rhiannastapleton9457 so post like Amazon and evri parcels sure , but from the actual royal mail we have never had post like that in Wales or in London or Birmingham to name a few places ive lived
Two that i noticed are the bowling ball switching gutters and Isaac's enthusiasm for Charlie and Nick. It sounds like he says "bromance", but the caption says "romance". Also, props to wardrobe...Nick re-uses his blue hoodie, notably in the snow sequence and his arrival at Nick's house to explain his leaving the party. I think it's also seen a few other times. But the burning question I have is why doesn't Nick get a splotch of face paint?
Also other odd bits… Charlie’s birthday badge changes sides on his jumper at the bowling alley, Nick’s bottle disappears when Harry drags him from the sofa where he was talking to Charlie, to reintroduce Nick to Tara and at the sports day rugby match, Nick removes his mouth guard before he is due to take the penalty kick but then runs off the field to Charlie (❤️)
I don't even like rugby, but I feel the need to correct you. It's a conversion not a penalty because Nick has just scored a try. Maybe he doesn't need his gum shield in to take the conversion because he's not going be in a scrum.
@@Nick-ux7zt thank you - I just knew it wasn’t a try! Maybe I should go re-read the book where Nick is coaching Charlie 😊 or just watch the season again…! 🍂❤️🏳️🌈
There's another one I think. When Charlie asks Nick if they can have lunch together in episode 7, Nick answers of course. Then in episode 8, when Nick asks him what's going on and Charlie isn't able to reply, the Instagram chat, where both conversations are, marks the same day, when they happen in different days.
Don’t know if this is mentioned, but at the bowling alley, not only is Isaac telling Nick about Radio Silence, but they show him holding it when Charlie is pointing him out to Nick.
In episode 7 it's kinda odd first they are riding the escalator down, but then a second later the movie theater is up a level at the top of two escalators.
So I know this was before season 2 but I wanted to share one from 2 even though most people noticed So when they are about to go to prom, charlie tells nick to close his eyes. While his eyes are closed we see the globe light in the corner off, but it lights up when nick opens his eyes! Charlie lights up nicks world
A mistake I noticed was when they’re at the milkshake cafe and Tao says the concert is starting soon and they all try to finish their milkshakes, Darcy isn’t actually touching anything. No mouth on straw and no hand on cup. Everything was just placed really well and the perspective was matched up
One you missed: in episode 4, when Charlie puts on his shoes to run after Nick he puts them on the wrong feet and doesn't tie the laces, but in the next shot his shoes are on the right feet and the laces are tied.
When Elle and Tao are talking on the movie night sitting watching the laptop, Elle has a pink bowl in her hand in some shots and a glass/drink in her hand in others and the bowl of popcorn is further down the bed. It bugs me every time!
I feel like Nick height changes from scene to scene, I imagine because Joe and Kit are very similar in height but for one or two shots they put Kit on a box or something to make him look taller than he is.
Number 5 bothered me for ages the way nick turned for home but my other thing is, how did Charlie not know Tara or Darcy when they are in the orchestra together. None of it matters though because I love the show so much! However I did love this video made me not feel so weird for noticing stuff!
I think in the comics it's stated that Charlie's volunteering to help the orchestra because they needed a drummer for the concert, but I don't remember too well so I could be wrong. They also go to different schools so it's possible that the truham and higgs orchestras don't get too acquainted since they only meet for concerts
I noticed that too. When Tao first brings up Tara to Charlie in episode 2, they have to look her up to see who she is and learn about her, but then in episode 3, Tara says she knows Charlie Spring. And the expression on her face implies that she even knows Charlie is gay.
@@cursedkaleidoscope Yeah, this bothered me at first but Charlie is quite distinctive because he's the only drummer, and he has a sister that Tara probably knows slightly as she and Tori are in the same year at school. Tara, on the other hand, is one of a large group of girls that Charlie meets all at once, and he's quite shy (in the show) so it makes sense that the name doesn't mean anything to him.
One you missed: Charlie’s shoes are tied after he quickly put them on without tying them (right after de shoes were on the other side of the hallway aka the rain kiss)
You missed the hair of Nick. After Imogen messed up his hair. He went through his hair with his hand on his left side. For some reason the right side was sitting right as well.
In Episode 8 (Boyfriend) when Elle and Tao in the Art-Block sitting on the table. In the first spot he has his hands at the table edge and you'll see that Elle will grab his hand and in the next spot he has his hands between his legs and Elle grabed his right hand.
Also, one thing that bugs me, that's in the books but not yet in the show, is that Charlie's father is Spanish, so why is his last name Spring, and Nick's father is French, so why is his last name Nelson? I know Nick says something in the books about his lineage being confusing.
Y'all missed a major one. On the snow day when Charlie goes to Nick's house. When they first go outdoors with Nellie you can clearly see Nick has snow on his jacket already.
when everyone is on the bus when they're going to paris, you can see imogen, ben, and harry all sat in that order with ben and harry talking. but the next scene you can see of them, imogen and ben have switched places
you also missed in the part where there going to the beach on the bus and charlie says ''i don't think I've ever been in this direction before'' beside nick and Charlie is I'm pretty sure alice witch is the author of heartstopper and the birds and leaves are on the wall behind them.
I have another one: in E4 when Charlie is trying to get better in tackling after practice on his own he wears long sweatpants and rugby shoes instead of the gym shorts earlier. And one observation: The long haired guy in the opposite team at the grueling rugby match seems to be the one coming out as bi in the video Nick was watching. Also Harry pestering Charlie about a guy having a crush on him at the match. Could it be that he is not all wrong? What do you think?
No, that is not the same guy. The guy in the videos that Nick is watching is RUclipsr Courtney-Jai. He also watched the show, and talked about how he got picked to do it, and what they told him to say.
I like this one!
Same
I noticed this one
I noticed that I love it sm
One you missed: they introduced Isaac to Nick twice. Once in episode 4 after the rugby match and then again at Charlie’s birthday party they introduce him to Nick.
I never noticed that
oh yeah!!
I mean technically the first one wasn’t an introduction more of an interruption lol
@@SoapAndChocolate69 yeah but Charlie said something like “don’t worry, Isaac won’t tell anyone” so he was informing him of his name
@@KANDI-but then again at the birthday part i believe charlie says “and you know isaac” implying that they’ve interacted before

i'm so late but thank you for this
I read those before and enjoyed that there are actually text like they actually talk to eachother out of thw show
Yes I slowed down and read them and thought they were so cute!
Agreed
Glad you mentioned the phone use because even my 11 year old picked that up! My biggest one would be when they're running down the hall in couples, back to the concert. Tao was right behind Nick and Charlie and there was no way he didn't see them grab each other's hands.
I know what you mean but I can just about get over this one because Tao hates running and he is a bit behind so Iu can see him focusing on that instead
True.
Also after the milkshakes the group are all walking as couples.
I noticed both and was just wondering about the hand thing haha
This is so good! Your editing style suits the show really well! When Imogen says ‘I’m a qualified hair stylist’ and messes up nicks hair, his hair goes from being messy to neat to messy 😅
Yeah 😅
The first I noticed is in episode 1 when Ben texts Charlie to meet after the rugby practice. Nick couldn't notice anything was off with Charlie in the changing room because Charlie recieved the texts while walking out, with his back to Nick.
thank you!! i noticed this too but put it down to ben sending the message during the practice and charlie only reading the message properly once he left the building but at least seeing there was one from him
I thought that the "something was up while we were getting changed" could have been Charlie trying to avoid changing in front of Nick or the other boys, potentially because of his crush or his body image issues
In the show this was unclear. However in the books Charlie was texting in the actual locker room where Nick saw him.
@@cursedkaleidoscope in the book Charlie is texting in the locker room.
This has bothered me too as the book does the scene in the locker room but the show has him check the text outside and makes Nick look like a stalker. But I chalked it up to a difference in how the director chose to film the scene. I would have preferred keeping true to the book as it doesn't make sense how it's shown in the show.
i’ve watched this show like 20 times and i didn’t even notice most of these. y’all’s eyes are too good
There are also at least 3 long haired boys at Truham walking around blatantly breaking the "chin length or above" hair rule in the background and I can't unsee them. You can see a guy with a full on ponytail in the "hi" montage behind Charlie when they start walking together.
I can't unsee that ponytailed guy now!
The Truham symbol also changes during the year as it gets more leaves.
The most important unanswered question is: What happened to the shoe-potato artwork?!
@@DavidLari Yes!
It seemed to me that Imogen just decided on Saturday without really discussing it.
Nick did hear the part of Tao saying nick was messing him around, so nick deducted that Tao knew about the date
If you look, you will find. There are actually some errors to be seen. Nick couldn't have heard the conversation from the start.
I noticed that in the scene when Imogen messes up Nick's hair, it initially looks messy but quickly styled in the next minute. Love this show!
As Nick would say "Well done!" "How are you soo good at this?!"
i can't believe you noticed all these things! the one about tao getting charlie a cat could be about it replacing nick but it could also be a birthday present as that episode was before the birthday episode :)
But Elle than says that his parents wouldn't let him have a cat.
In Episode 5, Imogen messes up Nick's hair, and magically it is perfectly combed in the next shot.
I've tried to get my head around this so many times, because it looks like Nick flinches but Charlie apologises?
And this is the scene that bothers me the second most!
Charlie apologizes (of course) for having his hand already there so that Nick grabbed it by 'accident'.
i think that’s just an example of charlie’s tendency to apologize for any inconvenience, even ones that aren’t his fault
Great list, but the one about Nick leaving Charlie's house in two different directions can be reasonably explained in a number of ways. For example, in one case he could be heading back home, but in the other case he's simply making another stop somewhere else to perhaps pick something up from a shop
When taking hand, Nick was just changing his grip to a full handhold.
People who make these kind of videos have such an incredible attention to detail!
Which is actually very interesting.
Great clip. I have TWO more if you are interested. Bag Label swaps sides when Nick gives Charlie his Birthday present at the bowling alley. Tao's hand are by his side when he sits up on the table in the art room with Elle, but when she grabs his hands they are on his lap. Enjoy.
YES! This one bothers me the MOST! lol
Just noticed that Charlie arranged his Monopoly money in rainbow order instead of denomination! Cute!
Damn! The attention to detail. Look like someone is watching Heartstopper every day. Kidding!
This reminds me of my cousin and his classmates that got hooked on High school musical and used to watch it every day. He used to tell me they memorized all the details and tease each other using the movie lines during their free time at school.
Brilliant ! I didn't notice most of them but about the dark and bright thing between Ben and Nick there was a scene when Ben and charlie sitting in a very dark place with Ben saying " we are not boyfriends when Charlie invited him to come over and the scene when Nick confirmed out loud " you are my boyfriend at their first date at the beach under the suniest day ever both wore yellow and orange outfits and nick telling him he wants to come out also about the light nick was often showed in the bi colors and ben in the dark
and the song during the beach scene!! it was called "moment in the sun"
Did Elle actually sign up for an event? They only showed them going around her old classrooms
Charlie quit rugby so he could chose an event instead of defaulting to rugby. Not to completely not have an event
@@BeanTomatoQuen and yet, other than run for Tao, he participates in no other event that is shown
@@blavyn12 that is because he exchanged place with Tao.
Yes, I thought no one noticed that. But it’s been bothering me ever since I saw it.
9:14 maybe she just wasn’t home or something
Main one of these I noticed was the wet vs dry shorts at the beach. Guess need to watch 20 more times.
In the rain-kiss scene, Nick was walking to slowly for Charlie to have to run to catch up with him in such a short period of time.
the road is wet, he doesn’t wanna get tripped; and charlie is a very fast runner.
For the snow day episode there are clearly daffodils in the shot as Charlie walks to Nicks house ☺️
Rehearsal is at Truham, concert is Higgs, the doors are different behind them.
@@pmw10261 oh really? Guess I have another excuse to rewatch
@@pmw10261 hadn't necessarily noticed that before. Rehearsal gym floor is red, with blue walls. Concert gym is blue floor with yellow walls.
I read somewhere that they had to film those scenes in the afternoon & had to black out the windows to make it night.
another trivia: the whole show is painted in blue and orange.
There are also a lot of rainbows in the reflections in the glass at the claw machine in the arcade.
@@corvus1374 Omg yea, I didn't notice that!!
Why is this so well madeeeee
The beach date is on a Sunday! And it's a good thing Nick suggested Sunday, because Charlie and Tao had just agreed to a film night on Saturday.
After prom in the last episode of season two, its clearly day outside. Sun is pouring through Nick's bedroom window.
I noticed this too but like to pretend it’s a full moon so as to not take away from the otherwise perfect scene 😅
I love Charlie having to get on his toes just to kiss nick lol
At Charlie's house Nick leaves And then Charlie goes to chase him But his sneaker is only half on and he doesn't stop to fix it before running out in the rain to kiss Nick
This also bugged me a lot, everyone I watched it!
this is from season 2, so with the specific symbols for each couple since the one for elle and tao is butterflies in episode 6 where they went to the louvre tao is wearing a butterfly print shirt and i think that was like just to symbolize their relationship finally blossoming properly and them just moving on to the more romantic side of their relationship which i think is really cool ❤
When the scene changed, there was a light wall (or something like that) behind the glass and you could see that the water was clear.
the radio silence one was so cool!!
I'm pretty sure they filmed that scene on the hottest day of the year 😂
I think I read somewhere that that scene was filmed in June.
Yes, this one drives me nuts. 🤣
Haha. In tapas where the comic was originally posted, (3-2) Alice’s comment on the panel for this scene is “no post on sundays”
In addition, Charlie brushed his teeth in the bathroom and ran to the door. The toothpaste must have tasted great because he didn't rinse it out of his mouth.
The wet shorts at the beach and the phone issue at school were the two that I had noticed on my own. All of the others were new to me!
Oh that's a good one!
That’s been puzzling me for months! Glad I’m not going mad. As if rewatching the series endlessly isn’t already evidence enough that something’s a bit wrong with me…
@@robertjames-robbins9070 If there’s something wrong with you for rewatching the series endlessly, then I guess I’m not as normal as I thought..
this is a great point!
Finally someone else who saw this one!!
Nick had to stop by the store on his way home the second time LOL
00:38 that is genius!! i need to read the book already haha
The door of the music room (Tara & Darcy) changes in the same scène. Sometimes with glass in it, sometimes without glass!
On french class, when Tara says that Darcy's french was horrible, she uses one hand when Darcy speaks badly in french, the camera change, and then Tara is using the other hand :D
Nick's strike in game 1 and Elle's winning strike in game 2 at the bowling alley are the exact same, just slightly differently cut.
Round where I live weve always had post on a Sunday, maybe it’s different in other uk locations but yeah
@@rhiannastapleton9457 so post like Amazon and evri parcels sure , but from the actual royal mail we have never had post like that in Wales or in London or Birmingham to name a few places ive lived
OMG I never noticed half of these things yet and I can quote most episodes by heart!!! ❤💛💚💙💗💜💖✨
I think because he's part of the rugby team
Also other odd bits… Charlie’s birthday badge changes sides on his jumper at the bowling alley, Nick’s bottle disappears when Harry drags him from the sofa where he was talking to Charlie, to reintroduce Nick to Tara and at the sports day rugby match, Nick removes his mouth guard before he is due to take the penalty kick but then runs off the field to
Charlie (❤️)
I don't even like rugby, but I feel the need to correct you. It's a conversion not a penalty because Nick has just scored a try. Maybe he doesn't need his gum shield in to take the conversion because he's not going be in a scrum.
It looks like Nick’s bottle is on a table to his right when he is looking back for Charlie.
@@rubywatch thank you…gives me a reason/excuse to go watch again!! 😊🥰
Charlie didn’t get his shoes on all the way before he runs after Nick in the rain but all of a sudden his shoes are on perfectly
In episode 7 it's kinda odd first they are riding the escalator down, but then a second later the movie theater is up a level at the top of two escalators.
The building layout where they filmed is different. The cinema is in fact on the higher level. The escalator goes to the lower level / parking
I havent seen anyone mention this yet but in episode 5 at Charlie's birthday the picture frame is upside down on Nick's present
So I know this was before season 2 but I wanted to share one from 2 even though most people noticed
So when they are about to go to prom, charlie tells nick to close his eyes. While his eyes are closed we see the globe light in the corner off, but it lights up when nick opens his eyes!
Charlie lights up nicks world
OK BUT THE LAST TRIVIA ONE 💕💕🍂🍂😭😭
A mistake I noticed was when they’re at the milkshake cafe and Tao says the concert is starting soon and they all try to finish their milkshakes, Darcy isn’t actually touching anything. No mouth on straw and no hand on cup. Everything was just placed really well and the perspective was matched up
Did anyone else notice that they fixed the audio? The music is a smidge lower now, making the dialogue easier to hear.
How did I not notice theese?! 😂
Oh nooooo, really? Now I must re-watching again... 😉😋
I feel like Nick height changes from scene to scene, I imagine because Joe and Kit are very similar in height but for one or two shots they put Kit on a box or something to make him look taller than he is.
Oof
Tara possibly knows off Charlie, if you look how they all sit in the Orchestra, the drummer is no where near Tara or Darcy
Tara says “I know *of* Charlie Spring”- so it is possible she just means she’s heard of him (and of him being openly gay)
In episode 1 when Charlie is telling Mr Ajayi about Ben, Mr Ajayi can't seem to make up his mind whether he wants to hold his pen or put it down 😂
One you missed: Charlie’s shoes are tied after he quickly put them on without tying them (right after de shoes were on the other side of the hallway aka the rain kiss)
9:14 Maybe Tao's mum wasn't home that evening
I think 18 with bonuses is pretty good. Because i watched it million times ❤
you also missed in the part where there going to the beach on the bus and charlie says ''i don't think I've ever been in this direction before'' beside nick and Charlie is I'm pretty sure alice witch is the author of heartstopper and the birds and leaves are on the wall behind them.
7:41 as elle has her phone confiscated you can see a girl in the background on her phone
