Beautiful. Regardless of what the tabloids said about their father, no one knew him like they did and just how instrumental and a driving force he was in their success.

Naitasi6 Joseph's father was extremely mean to him as a child. His parents separated when he was a young child. He wasn't shown love. He carried all the hurt and pain from his childhood to his own family. People, we must learn to break the cycle of violence and abuse unto our children, wife's etc.

Naitasi6 it wasn't the tabloids, it was Michael and Latoya. But, it is the end of an era.

Naitasi6 that's what they are there for. A black man that's a father that shows discipline to his own children are shown as monsters. I.e. Joe, tiger's dad, Williams sister's dad, Beyonces dad etc.

@@tbeautifulmelodies9820 I can't speak for what you saying cause I feel at the end of the day it's up to the people in that household to make that judgement call if this woman stated she loves him and was thankful for what he did for the family then I will good with it
And she is right a black family in the 60"s and 70"s making a splash globally yes he did do a lot for them

Janet your father loved you. He was very disciplined because he wanted you children to be raised with respect, education , and a good work ethic. You have achieved all of these and then some. I love you. And will pray for you and your beautiful family. ❤❇🌟love always, Michael Page XOXO

My parents were strict, they had rules, Dad was the mouth piece, Mom administered the discipline & imposed structure. Today most would call it abuse, but we were not perfect children. The result was 10 God fearing children, educated & with a good work ethic. Eternal love & respect for our parents. So, I can relate to the type of father Joe Jackson stated that he was. RIP Joe, your legacy is your children.

Undaunted2012...So true but my mother did the discipline (whipping) because dad didn't like whipping girls. But when he got on ya...case close🙏. We all turned out fine with no trouble or problems

    • @Undaunted2012
      @Undaunted2012 6 лет назад +3

D’ Afrique Rousseau my parents communicated, but some of the siblings ignored their requests & rules. Therefore, they had to deal with the consequences. For 3 of my siblings, sometimes an easy punishment of being grounded was not always sufficient. Some children go through a rebellious stage & try to find a loophole. A spanking / whipping was always the last resort. As adults, we still laugh about those moments.
I applaud you & your siblings for being totally obedient to the rules & requests of your parents.

What the tabloids, media and even some hating so called fans don't realize is,that no matter what the Jacksons are a family first and foremost, and Joseph Jackson was not the monster he's been made out to be,he was loved and respected and admired by his entire family. The enduring legacy of Joseph Walter Jackson lives eternally in them.

This is exactly what needed to be said. People get so caught up in what they *think* they know about a person that they ignore the truth. He wasn't perfect, and a lot of his ways would be difficult to understand or accept in today's world. When you look at where Joseph came from, where he brought his family from, the gifts he saw and honed in his children, and the worldwide success that resulted... there's no denying the man deserves respect.

They would have to be forever grateful, thankful and most importantly appreciative to Joseph for the way their lives turned out. He may have been this type of father or that type of father to his kids, but at the end of the day, he made them ALL successful in their own right. Without Joseph being who he was, no telling how their lives would have turned out. Say what you will about Joseph, but he is the reason behind his kids success and for that, I thank him. We need more fathers like him in today's society. R.I.P Joseph 🙏

Chadwick Lockharte Joe didn't show any affection to his kids when he was alive, it makes sense she does it when he is dead.

davidcici11Evolution lol, that is not true at all. Joe loved those kids. If he didn't he wouldn't have even taken the chance of making a life for them. Of course their success came at the expense of some heartache and pain, but he was a man who did what he could for his family. He wasn't perfect NO ONE IS.

Chadwick Lockharte I never said he didn't love his kids he just didn't show affection. Janet mentions it in a house video recording. Where she says she bought her Dad a boat, but it's really hard for him to show affection for his children and what not. Joe was never affectionate, that doesn't mean he didn't love them he just didn't know how to show his love to his kids. He showed tough love I think that was the closest love he has ever displayed. Despite all this MJ probably talked the most shit about Joe out of all his children publicly, all his kids kinda of held a love and hate bond with their father. Makes sense how none of his kids are Jehovah Witnesses, and live their lives differently from what Joe taught them.
Yet despite all that, they have Joes defining charactetistic, his drive, motivation and strength of doing all he could to get his children to the top even if some people didn't agree with it. But what strikes me about Joe is he was trying to sell mixtapea after his son Michaels death lol. I really ain't trying to diss Joe, in fact, quite the opposite but mixtapes 🎶🎹😄😄😄

davidcici11Evolution Latoya explained that. She said Joe was in mourning and the only way to not break down about MJs death publicly was to try to remember him thru music.
Also, his own childhood was hard. His mother left him, his father( a strict man) raised him to be tough, and his beloved sister whom he was close to passed away very young and he shut down after that.

Jabulani nobody in their right mind would promote their own label and music production after their son dies that is beyond selfish and a family who patents themselves over being professional, very unprofessional.
I actually take one thing I said back Tito is probably the most like his father so some of his kids do take after him but even he is not extreme.
As parents we all manage our kids, but we all do it in different ways some do it with love. I think as talented as his sons were they could of had both worlds but it is what it is. Joe had nine kids with Katherine and two other kids with someone else. The daughter he has with another woman called him Dad while all the Jackson's had to call him Joseph. It was sad when Janet discussed that and when her half sister discussed that as well. Joe never wanted to be a father to his own kids he wanted to be there business manager he did push them to success, living in a house of nine kids is tough, he taught his kids how to survive in this world the tough lesson of the cruelty this world provides us, teaching them the reality is the hardest thing to do. But if rumor is true that Joe was giving Michael injections in order for him to keep his singing voice when he was real young, which is the reason MJ became infertile. If that rumor is to be true than Joe is a monster, he is passable for anything else, but that is Janets Father and being a fan of both JJ and MJ I respect him and admire him to some degree but in a lot of ways he was imperfect and damaging to his own kids image, self esteem, and livelihood and pushed them to far that their success was given but their personal lives suffered. Michael is a huge example of this.
