- Finally got around to installing a set of resonated catless downpipes on my F82 M4. Huge shouts to my buddy Tyler as always for performing the install along with my friend Matt for helping me film this video. I couldn't be more pleased with how the car sounds, insane is an understatement especially paired with the lovely M Performance Exhaust. The videos do NOT do it justice but I will have a much higher quality/in depth sound video coming pretty soon so stay tuned for it. I said it before but I’ll say it again, one of the best sounding S55’s out there! I still need some for my M2C, I’m really about how they’ll sound with my AA single midpipe.

This is how my M4 sounds. I was told it's stock ZCP exhaust with aftermarket high flow resonators. I never really got under it to check since I bought it. Now I'm curious to get under there this weekend. Sounds bad ass!!!!
glad you like it man! Yea the ZCP cars sound sweet! I just added the ZCP overrun to mine also and the subtle burbles are so nice
@@SimplyCarThings yes! Subtle overruns sound really good. I actually love the sound of the S55. It's unique in its own way. Now when the wastegates are open during warm up it sounds terrible when you drive it but I usually let it sit until they are ready haha.
Have you heard of the Bomiz brand? I was wondering if you ever considered that exhaust set up, full cat back with an X pipe and H pipe built in, one of the guys from precision dynamics has it and it sounds amazing. But all in all your setup is absolutely phenomenal man Im happy you're enjoying the car as you should, you really have found the sweet spot for noise production, I am in love with it.

Any plans for equal length setup? I didn’t even know there were resonated Catless downpipes before, might consider this as the downpipe for the equal length setup later on my car 🤔
I’d be really curious to hear that. I’ve got an equal length AWE midpipe which already redefined the tone of the car. Happy with it so far, but…resonated downpipes might give it just that much more intensity.

Good vid and informative for guys new to the platform. One thing you didn’t touch is the smell. How bad was/is it? The setup sounds great but be careful out there, have been reading about folks getting pulled over in some CA cities due to excessive noise,which could be fixed with a valve controller.
Thanks! With the valves open on the exhaust the smell is pretty strong. Valves closed its not bad, if you have the windows up.
Sounds amazing! Probably a touch much for a daily, might get a little deeper with time as it cokes-up with carbon build-up, but not much.
What camera and mic setup do you use? The audio is super realistic!!

How do you think this setup would compare if you had non resonated catless dp’s such as VRSF? Do you think the VRSF would be just a little or a lot louder / a little or a lot raspier? Do these restrict even the slightest bit of power or torque compare to non resonated?
I installed these down pipes but I have a really weird noise coming from the downpipes area after install, I’m thinking I installed it wrong
Have you seen the new M4 X drive smoke a GTR in throttle houses video...def might order one in 2022. This thing stock is smoking Hellcats, GTRs, GT 500s...cant imagine what a simple tune would do

Have you had a power train malfunction error before? If so, what the heck does that mean?
thanks!! i havent had that before personally. Do you have a code reader? It could mean a number of things
@@SimplyCarThings the error only comes up while driving. I plugged the code reader in while the car is parked and no codes pop up. I briefly researched it and people are saying it could be anything lol. You seemed pretty knowledgeable so I figured I’d ask.
Omar this thing sounds amazing !! Your opinion on something. I got a full titanium car back exhaust on my x3m (s58). No secondary cats and a X pipe for where the resonator used to be. Car is loud now, but thinking of adding catless DP. What’s your opinion?
oh wow that probably sounds amazing! I think downpipes would be a nice addition to the exhaust. It might introduce a little bit of rasp into the exhaust note but it's so much fun with how loud your car becomes after downpipes

are vrsf catless downpipes good or are the arm catless ones way better?
i prefer the ARM ones because of the integrated resonators they have to reduce rasp. Also this is just my personal opinion but the ARM ones have better fitment.

it's noticeable haha with windows down and valves open, windows up and valves closed tho its not bad
