OMG, now sounding like a real bmw! I love it, I love the catless config all the time. I even put a catless downpipe on my m135i N55, sounds amazing, freely to evacuate the exhaust gases from combustion chamber to atmosphere 😍
D A how is that relevant??? You want him to close up his life all together just because of a shitty situation? I’m sure he will pay off his catless down pipe with this video...all power to him.
@@SimplyCarThings can I get a resonated downpipe for my m135i? I want to keep my ride stealth and dont want any drone and raspiness at all, also I was thinking of using a resonated catback to match, as long as these pipes make the same power as non resonated then I'm down.
imran bajwa you could get a catted downpipe they’re more expensive and you may still not pass emissions so I recommend a catless downpipe and a valved exhaust that way you can close it off or open it up whenever you want
@@TJ-cw3mv when it comes to the emissions test, couldn't you simply just swap the decatted downpipe with the OEM cat and test emissions and then swap it over for catless downpipe? I haven't looked underneath the car but I heard it's not difficult and only takes 10 mins to change over.
imran bajwa definitely not 10 mins that’s what I’m planning on doing but the xdrive is gonna be harder to get to and a pain in the ass I have xdrive rwd is easier.
Nice job man, I become a BMW enthusiast and lover thanks to you. I always apreciate your manner in explaining things although that I'm still enhancing my english skills Keep doing amazing stuff man, I'll keep support you by like and comment from Tunisia
that's first time I hear anyone praises an M4 sound. everybody basically dislikes it, but I couldn't care less. it's all about that torque and speed that m4 beats all other m3's and bunch of other, but ppl would still btch about sound this and that, up until tesla shows up
Hey I’m planning on getting these, I have a full fabspeed exhaust. Do you think I would get a cel light on the stock tune. Don’t want to tune yet bc I haven’t got my crankhub done yet. Your exhaust sounds amazing btw.
So I have a F80 M3 that is my daily driver. I currently have the MHD stage 1 tune installed and I am considering installing these downpipes and flashing stage 2. I don’t want it to drone on the highway and also don’t want any odor. I had a 335i FBO and it had a horrible smell with the downpipes. I have the stock oem exhaust setup. How do you think it would sound with the stock exhaust?
I have heard horror stories of these fitting vs the ar ones. Did you have to do any fixing to get these to fit correct always been interested but have always heard they dont fit worth crap.
Can you make an informative video on xdrive vs rwd? With Xdelete now available it’s quite an interesting conversation given the rear end is the same at least for my f30 335xi, but the suspension is soft on xdrive... I was gonna change to coil overs either way so that wasn’t a dealbreaker for me.
Love your videos! 🤩 Got an m2c myself and would love to make it louder. My exhaust is stock and hoping the cat less down pipes will do the trick. How much louder did the down pipes make your exhaust with the current set up? And how much are they? Thanks in advance
Dude I think I might go with these down pipes for my M2c. They sound amazing, the pulls through the tunnel sounded crazy! Also the classic heated seats with the windows down combo, the only way to combat the cold while enjoying the sound of your car 😂
Is there a reason to have a resonator on a catless downpipe? Wouldnt that just cause more restriction compared to a completely restriction free catless downpipe like VRSF.
The only reason they are integrated into the downpipe is to smoothen out the exhaust note and prevent rasp. The S55's unequal length downpipes produce an uneven exhaust gas pulse which is why they have that very coarse and blender like sound to them. So this helps to reduce that. As far as power loss goes, i highly doubt the resonators will make any noticeable difference in performance.
Anyone know if these catless "resonated" downpipes, sound any less raspy compared to regular Vrsf catless downpipes? 4 inch resonators make any difference, to justify me buying these pipes plus paying for a new install? 😬
Hey bro. I’m so eager to do that mode on my F80. I love the sound of your beast 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼Probably the reason why you can’t smell raw fuel is because you still have your secondary cats....🤔 Did Catless down pipes gave you check engine light...? If so, Haw did you code it out ..? Bootmode..? Thank you so much for your videos. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hey Omar, aren't these illegal in California? How do you manage to pass emissions? I thought this car was also for your everyday use in addition to tracking. EDIT: These are illegal in California. You can probably get away with them since a cop will not check on what pipes you are using, but if you get caught, the fines are pretty nasty. The smell may rat you out. Also, not sure how you are passing emissions.
This car isn't my daily driver but i just put the stock dp's on when it comes time to smog. Ive had catless downpipes on my last two cars as well and never had an issue with police
slightly better throttle response, but that's about it. You need to be tuned to extract any real gains from the downpipes but its well worth it once you do!
Carbon monoxide is odourless, which is what your cars making without a cat. "I couldn't smell anything" probably your frontal lobe shutting down. Car sounds great.
How do you guys pass emissions? Going catless is illegal in Cali and also here in Virginia. Do you guys know a mechanic that’ll pass you or you just rock a failed emissions sticker lol
Worst part of the M4 is it’s sound. A $80+k car that sounds like a mix between a Civic and a tractor. I mean what happened BMW??? Oh and btw, just about everyone in this world has heard this in person. It’s not like the M4 hasn’t been around for 5 years lol. It sounds bad in person too.
wtf, upgrading from an old cheap 335i into the m4 is pretty big deal for a young guy like that damn. I am still stuck with e92 and will for a long time having zero income, fuck

The music choice after the intro made it feel like I was in 2009 looking up photoshop tutorials.
that's exactly what i was going for 😎
Probably one of the best M4's I've ever heard. Didn't know the dinan exhaust sounded this good.
wow, thanks bro! I have to agree with you haha i cant get over how great it sounds
The fact that your friend did this on his back and in th FN dark, Im highly impressed!
BEST SOUNDING S55 ON RUclips
what can i say! :D
Sounds really good actually! Nice and clean tone, as for no smell it’s probably cause you have the secondary cats still on
Nice... One of the better sounding M4 exhaust setups. Alot of them sound like lawnmowers. Yours is niceeeeee
Sounds seriously mean now. Great work. I see others asked but any CEL's?
thank you, Mark! i've been driving it around for a few days now and no CEL's! I'll be tuning soon too after my crank hub gets an upgrade 👍
They sell a high flow catted version that I will probably go with. Even with the additional cost on the catted version close to cheapest available
the sound difference just on video is crazy. sounds a lot smoother and less raspy imo. 👍🏼 good work guys

thank you bro! I'm excited as well!

one of the few good sounding s55's out there

This is an amazing diffrence from other m4's. Probably one of the best sounding
Im glad to hear that, thank you!!
I went with a Meisterschaft rear section and VRSF Downpipes. No rasp and loud. Meisterschaft is the best in quality and sounds hands down.
Sounds great. Is it stage 2? I like the rasp.
thank you! stock tune for now, ill flash it down the road for sure
Did you get the check engine light on? Thanks

Is it safe to use pop and bangs tune with these?since they are resonated...
No issues with catless downpipes, but just be weary of the o2 sensors "after the cat" sometimes that extra fuel from the burbles ruins em
Great video!
Thank you so much!
Sounds so good
thank you sir! just checked out your channel, great content man keep it up!
@@SimplyCarThings haha, still learning here and there, but I appreciate the wise words 🙏
Do you have a tune with the car ? Planning it or is it even needed with downpipes ?
no tune yet, i definitely will once i upgrade my crank hub. stage 2 and onward downpipes are almost an essential
