Elafonisos Island & Simos Camping - a thousand shades of blue

In this video we will take you to the Simos campsite, which is located on the island of Elafonisos. We visited in low season (September), which had its pros and cons. The campsite is almost empty, there is no need to wait for the use of sanitary facilities and bathrooms. It is peaceful and quiet. The campsite has paved paths made of tiles and stones, but an interesting fact is that cars are allowed in the plots next to the tents. The campsite has 4 bathrooms and toilets, 2 kitchens with fridges, freezers and hobs, 1 laundry room and 2 washing machines, children's playground, barbecue, 3 dining areas, mini market, restaurant, oven pizzeria, bar, hot breakfast every morning, ATM and bungalow.
This was our first visit to the campsite and we were very impressed, but we do not recommend it in the peak season - July and August, because it is very crowded.
The island of Elafonisos is located 1200 km from Sofia, which is about 13 hours by car and more than 60 euro tolls in one direction. We recommend that you spend one night on the way out and one night on the way back from the island.
