    I was getting the same oil pressure light. Changed out my pcv valve along with this oil pressure sensor. No problems since. Thanks for the vid.

    The oil pressure sensor works above 1000rpm, the reason why there is no light at startup.

  • @timc3600
    @timc3600 3 месяца назад

    As the pressure sensor is just a switch, it needs the ground terminal via the M10 thread, so covering it in PTFE tape won't help in doing that. The crush washer is what gives the seal, the new sensor should come with one.
    I had a similar problem with a bad sensor today.

      Oh man that's super rough!! This did 100% fix my issue! And was super super easy to take care of! Vids like this are great for people like me where there's only a handful of foreign auto mechanics on my area and they are all booked out for months! Thank you again!

      I would carefully use a pocket screwdriver or a pick to get under the clip and work it lose. Hope that helps.

    once the sensor is leaking it will give you a oil sensor fault

  • @derekkchung

    Cold idle 20 psi at least. You got 40 psi
    Specs: Cold 2000-2500 rpm should be 50 psi
    Warm to 190F:
    Specs : 2.7 to 4 bar at 2k rpm (39psi to 58 psi)
    You got at idle 19 psi, at 2k u have 40 psi so u are at the lower end but within specs

  • @Ape76
    @Ape76 2 месяца назад

    in my case the problem (oil pressure warning on idle) was dirty vvt adjuster/magnet! Litle bit of parts cleaner sprayed in each hole and problem is solved!!!
