I just thought it was soo stupid how the enchantress is super powerful and could potentially destroy the world, but she was killed by Harley with a stab in the chest. It's like the directors wanted to quickly rush the ending of he movie. Enchantress deserved so much better!
Yeah, poorly directed overall. Action scenes seem like he was just trying to give too much "do it now" big-speech dialogue while key movements were taking place. That always makes an action scene fall flat. This could have been pretty great, but it looks like an epic fail. Very unfortunate. Enchantress and her brother were pretty incredible foes.
So instead of outright killing them with her other powers, she chooses to engage in physical melee? The mage, the spellcaster, is choosing physical melee 😅….and then she allows herself to be fooled by Harley. She deserved to lose.

It makes sense when explained like this: When she gets unleashed, the Enchantress isn't as powerful as she was in her glory days, even when her heart gets returned to her. She has to absorb power from her brother, Incubus to keep her strength up. But since Diablo and GQ put down Incubus, the Enchantress now has limited power. Since she uses up most of it for her machine, she has no choice but to single-handedly take on the Squad. It is only when they gain the upper hand that she attempts one last smooth-talk to tempt them.
The reason Enchantress didn't kill them is because she wanted the humans to worship her again rather than the machines we worship now according to enchantress herself at the start of the movie

Yeah but jean is not in full control of the Phoenix at this point and she can not even use her power to the fullest plus Apocalypse was like Phoenix x 10 (movie wise). This fight wasn't terrible, but it was probably the worst of any comic book movie final fight. The fact that Enchantress didn't seriously hurt or kill at least one person was a tad unrealistic considering how powerful she is.
The same can be said about Ultron, none of the Avengers got hurt, not even the ones that don't have super powers. So even a bunch of cops could have dealt with the Ultron army, that movie was waaay worse. And I disagree, the team work was on point and the Diablo Aztec god of the Sun is one the most BADASS moments in comic book history! This movie was not perfect but for a comic book movie it was pretty darn good and sexy!

The visuals and idea are great. In the few clips I've seen of the squad proper, I dunno.....the dialog was just not what it needed to be. I swear the director and screenwriter need to open up the blinders and watch some other GROUP hero movies for the sake of understanding dramatic word flow. Trying to ratchet up the tension, but having multiple long sentences is not going to work. A starting screenwriter would have known that.

I agree. The Enchantress has unlimited magical power. Why wasn't she able to magically take back her heart? The movie itself was ok, it should have been longer and they should have done more than run around the street fighting those things that the Enchantress was making up (which by the way was pointless).

Suicide squad had the potential to be a good movie, howeve, it lacked continuity and had too many irrelevant characters. For one there’s a part where enchantress is in distress because her heart is being stabbed and she runs to her brother in despair like a little child , and then once she has her heart she’s speaking like some all powerful entity .. “yes child” 🤨 also we have way too many characters it’s hard to keep up with their back story or even care if they love. Also when Enchantress is killed , Dr Moon returns to herself but when the brother is killed the guy who’s body they stole for her brothers spirit it’s just like faq him..
