The reason Metaverse didn't become successful (today) is because people think it is useless and there is no need, for example if you want to call someone then you can just use your default phone app or use video call, why would you go for a virtual meeting which more more expensive and can cause side effects. I suppose that the Metaverse will not become a global success unless it is promoted by government and other companies.

here's some reason:-
1. before 20th century we didn't thought one day you can control all you data and stuff in only one finger with your smart phones.
2. in 19th centuries if want to take one photo you have to stand for long time in same position.
3. the end of the 19th century we din't thouth that we can make paitings without colours and papers not even in dreams.
3. before some decade when web 2.0 release we didn't thouth that we can play high grphics games.
4. when elon musk was said that a rocket will be go into space and come back at that place from where it has been launched on that time elon muak also failled for three times he was on situation of from a multi-millioner to bankrupt and who is he and what he cand do what he done we all know.
so my point is when these tecnology was arrived on that time these technology has also failled and these is exactly happening with META but after some years meta will be sucseed and mark zukurburg will shut up that all people who was thinking bad future about META.
