    Tailoring is definitely a lost art. Great common sense suggestion of buying an old ugly tie at a thrift store, disassembling it and making a pattern from the actual tie. Cheaper and much more efficient (although I actually like the 'old tie' you started with and wouldn't take it apart. I'd use an old ugly orange/brown/olive coloured monstrosity to use as a pattern, then no guilt throwing it away!). Thanks for the sew-along! (I enjoy your blog as well).

    The idea for recycling a tie to make the pattern is just awesome!
    And, I'm loving the detailed instructions by Master Tailor Gentleman Jim.
