Sorry that I forgot about the 4063 wreck. I guess I just forgot to add it into the script or something idk
Ummm, Sorry I'm Late with this. But you also forgot That 8798 was destroyed before it was rebuilt.
No worries happens all the time.
Also I recreated the collision. Although it is not possible that I recreated the crash. Like I said I recreated the train crash. Also this is gameplay footage from Train Sim World 2 Rush Hour DLC. I'm driving SD70 2537. Behind it is 4063. Pushing in the middle of the train is 8098 the Conrail Heritage Unit.
NS already have built NS part of their 4600 series locomotives and they rebuilt several of them 4604, 4605, 4607, 4612-4614, 4617, 4618, 4622-4625 this month, and is planning to have 4700 series AC44C6Ms in 2023
@@railfannoah5762 I know.
NS has rebuilt 25 GECX/BNSF D9s into AC44C6Ms numbered 4856-4880. The fleet will expand until 5239.
Oh so bnsf won’t sell of them, I hope some bnsf dash 9s are around in 2025.
The dash
9s are getting rebuilt
I like the rebuilt program it’s fantastic
BNSF better start rebuilding their dash 9s instead of running them until scrap, or they'll run out of locomotives and bankrupt themselves.
@@cbolanz1yeah
@@cbolanz1I know
They might eventually.
They rebuilt 20.
Nearly a year later on March 18th 2018 the #4063 was trailing in a head-on crash in Scott County Kentucky. It landed on the GE D940C #8798 leading the train damaging its frame trucks and the leading unit under it completely.
Csx never ordered dash 9s. :( nor BN.. same with GT
Cn is also rebuilding their dash 9s and up as well.
Is the AC44C6M the new "thundercab"? I've heard of NS crews complaining of these units being very noisy, vibrating, and shaking all over the place. i've heard they shake way more than the old Dash 9's they used to be.
Damn I saw a AC44C6M before their 😮new Thunder cabs damn
Cool video! Also, AC44C6M 4063 was trailing in a head-on collision and was written off.
It’s fun to see them up in Western Massachusetts.
Most notably, AC44C6M #4162 is a GE/Wabtec rebuild, and it has the DC to AC Waveform on it.
It's also a huge waste of money, the D9's smoke and blow turbos, and the C6M's STILL do even AFTER the rebuilds
AC44C6M=17% increase in fuel efficiency, 30% increase in reliability, 55% increase in haulage capacity.
AC4400CWM=10% increase in fuel efficiency, 40% increase in reliability, 50% increase in haulage capacity.
(I would swap the fuel efficiency and haulage capacity between the 2)
are there any other rebuilds in GE or EMD that have big percentage increases in their rebuilds? I've love to know.
2 years later and still waiting on one to be made in HO!
You could kitbash one. Josh Clark had a video but removed the video. It’s a dash 9 and a et44 cab
After her loss was released this song is pretty nice
Glad I’ve seen a ton of -9s already, good for me!
I can’t believe 8520 flopped 😢. Awesome video Sam!
6:51 ns always had the same paint lol.
7:20 true lol.
Make a whole episode about the CM44's!
It’s.. the... same.... thing.......
That's a story for another day.
Sweet video! I love this series!
Thanks good stuff
Great facts. I learned a lot from your video.
It would be nice if not all of the Dash 9's were rebuilt. The newest Dash 9's are from 2004 and they are in the 9900's.
I have a request: can you do B40-8w of the NS
Nice locomotive!
I am not too sure but I think the C means Conversion and 6 meaning that all 6 wheel power as opposed the BNSF AC44C4Ms which have 4 powered axles. I could be wrong though.
Yea Wich is also famous on the ES44C4s and ET44C4s
The AC44C6M means AC traction, *4400* hp, a C-C wheel arrangement, *6* powered axles, M for modified.
Nobody:
No one at all:
Sam: “Stignificantly”
Good stuff!
Where's the Leslie RS3L? But I think we already know how they sound.
Nice intro.
Good Video
Nice one dogemcswaggerton
oh boy
Make a video on dash 8s and AC6000CWs
Nice video
I don't think 4001 was trailing in the wreck cuz somebody got it on vid 10 mins before the wreck and it was leading.
i always liked dash 9s anyways
Ewww trash-9s suck
Well... i mean in MA Idk how much NS you get Besides 22/23K but in NJ and PA it’s like seeing a d9 cuz their common IMO I think ACe’s and ACC’s are cooler
I just saw 4000 yesterday
Will you do a 2019 bloopers and funny moments montage like you did 2016, 2017, and 2018?
Nice video! If you need footage for the Metra video let me know, I should have some for you if you’d like.
Sam video
Man hopefully SD40-3 will be next PS: AC44C6CM 4063 was wrecked and was Written off
Hey, I live in Chicago and I have tons of photos/videos of the metra f40ph's I'd love to send you them provided I'm given credit!
Ive seen a couple of these
6:31 Knuckles Bonnet Knuckles Bonnet
hi sammie
Ummm what about 9939 crash
It would add an extra 5 minutes to the video to mention every accident that a C44-9W or an AC44C6M on NS has been involved in. It's just not a very important detail to the story of how and why NS overhauled their dash 9s. I only mentioned 4001 because it was so early on in the history of AC44s and it was a special unit.
He Acutally also wanted to mention the 4063 Wreck
AC4400CWMs.
AC4400CWM.
