The China of the three wheels: from the rickshaw to the millbike

In China, three-wheelers are an important pillar of economic life that goes far beyond the picturesque rickshaws. In this video I briefly review their evolution since they arrived in the country, back in the late eighteenth century, until its flowering in recent decades, with all kinds of modifications resulting in such curious things as a millbike. Inside you will see many pedal and motorized tricycles, and also the so-called autorickshaw or tuk-tuk, although in the Asian giant they are called "three-wheeled vehicle" (三轮车).
