Regarding your yarn choice for the Ozetta Sweater. I recently knit one of her sweaters that called for the same yarn combination at the same gauge. I used a regular worsted weight yarn by itself. Got gauge and had the same misgivings you are. After finishing the sweater and blocking, it’s my favorite sweater ever. Go for it!!
The blue of the Monday sweater is awesome on you! Thank you for doing the comparison of the sweaters as I had been wondering what the differences were. I love petite knit sweaters though honestly I often can’t see the differences between them
You can knit whatever you want whenever you want! I feel like summer is the perfect time for smaller wool projects as well as shawls and blankets etc. I'm planning on making socks, a summer hat or two and also knitting a lace cardigan at the moment ☺
Sockease much like Opal and Regia - while first knitting with them they’re not the softest but after they’ve been washed they do soften up really nicely; and they last for years extremely well.
Ooh! You look great in your new blue sweater! Well done! The cardigan is going to be wonderful when it's done. Thanks for sharing all you beautiful new knits. Best wishes! Tracy
I love the deep blue of your Monday Sweater, it's absolutely gorgeous! As for your Seasons Cardigan, you could also try making the stitch with a YO instead of knitting into the stitch below. Looking forward to your next projects!
The blue suits you very well! I'm glad you are going to pursue some interesting socks. There are lots of designs that manipulate self striping yarn for socks, you could have fun with that. Soft yarn is a joy but isn't likely to last as well as the tightly spun tough yarns.
I vote you should cast on those beautiful mittens and a hat!😁 Those green colors are beautiful! I just casted off an emerald green Musselburgh hat even though it’s been unseasonably warm and I’m so happy with it! That whitmoor cardigan is adorable! I’m excited to see you cast it on 😊
The Weekender by Andrea Mowry would be great in the green. You can make is over sized or knit a smaller for less ease. I’m also 5’ nothing and made the weekender in DK. I’m a loose knitter so I have better luck using DK for worsted weight. Love your podcast and so happy I found it.
I love how you compare similar patterns. I was just tossing up between the Monday and the No Frills. I have just finished the Monday and LOVE it but was wondering about the No Frills as my next one. Think I’ll stick with Monday. Thx heaps. ❤😊
The monday sweater colour is so great, you've nailed the combination of mohair/merino! Maybe set yourself a goal of how many rounds of knitting you want to do per day on the Ozetta cardigan, that's what I did to see me through a brioche slipover that i couldn't see the end of, and it worked up so fast ! I laughed at how similar our tastes are, every video, we have so many projects in common, I'm also about to cast on a dartmoor without mohair, but I am adding a strand of filcolana alva to fill out the gaps in the gauge ! More affordable than mohair, and will give me some dimension in colour (I am going for a charcoal black dartmoor) Enjoying the new editing style as well ! ♥
Thanks for the ideas! I just found your channel and am loving all your projects! It's always great to find other knitters with similar pattern tastes. Your Lume pullover makes me want one for myself, so I might be adding it to the future plans list! Can't wait to see your Dartmoor
I kind of feel like if you knit the dartmoor with the fabric densiness you got from your swatch that you are going to be disappointed with how it turns out because the structural aspect of the sweater won’t be the same either since your fabric will be a lot more drapey
Some of my worsted patterns in my queue are the weekender and Nurtured sweaters by Andrea Mowry, the Felix pullover by Amy Christoffers, and then fun none pullovers are the my time sweater by Lily Kate and big rib sweater by Jessie Maed. Hope this helps!
Haven’t watched the whole video yet but I spy the little squishmallows on your headboard and I love it 😍 is that Gordon the shark? We have a squishmallow addiction in this house 😂
I made the Dartmore sweater recently and highly recommend it ! I also struggled to meet gauge and ended up knitting a size XL to get a M, and it actually ended up looking really good! Although I probably could’ve gotten away with a L instead. Recently I have tried knitting with lace weight baby alpaca instead of mohair and I absolutely love it! It obviously doesn’t have the same effect as mohair but it does help fill in the gaps a little bit and it’s sooooo much softer and barely sheds. Would definitely recommend.
Love your channel and your makes. I am nowhere near as skilled as you but the first clothing I made was the Whitmoor sweater in yarn from budget supermarket and it worked out lovely. I then made the cardigan version in “nicer” yarn and it’s beautiful. I am hoping to make the #CalmDownCardigan by Lily Kate Makes when it’s released on 8th April. I watched her RUclips podcast and she wanted simple classic cardigan so right up your street. Think test knitters have also used worsted weight yarn so it would maybe be good for the beautiful green yarn you have x
I’m knitting the hanstholm sweater by petite knit in peer gynt for my husband, and at first i thought it was rough and woolly, but after having it in my hands for a couple of weeks I love it and want to knit myself something in it as well
Caidree’s Harlow sweater is knit in a worsted gauge and has the same back detail! That color would look gorgeous in this pattern. Im in the same boat as you with mohair 😅so I knit mine with a single strand of worsted yarn
AH the harlow sweater would be perfect for this yarn then! Thank you for that - I will check it out and might adjust the collar to look more like the Dartmoor!
Your Monday sweater by Petiteknit is beautiful! Love the dark navy color, too! I'm currently working on Petiteknit's novice sweater...one more sleeve to go. I have never tried color work and yours is looking great! I will have to see if my LYS offers classes. I live in Michigan so I know Icelandic yarn like Alafosslopi would be nice to keep me warm. I can't wait to see your finished colorwork cardigan. Happy knitting!
I hope you can find a class near you! Definitely a great experience and way to get plugged into the community. Congrats on almost finishing the novice sweater!
I just finished the Dartmoor sweater (actually I was weaving in ends while watching this video) and it's a lovely pattern, but I wonder if your yarn isn't just too thin for it. On ravelry the suggested yarn is listed as bulky + lace = bulky. Apart from that, I was also wondering if it's too late to knit up some mittens and a hat... I'm not sure. And wow, the navy color is just so lovely! The sweater looks gorgeous on you. I might have to knit a navy sweater too in the near future! Consider me influenced :))
I’ve gone to your Etsy site once in ep 8 and one earlier and both times I was told to immediately get off that site because I could get hacked. Thought you should know.
Can you clarify which sweater? There are a few gray pieces in this episode - I list out all the patterns mentioned in my video description if that helps!
What needle brand(s) do you use? Or that you would recommend. I’ve been using an interchangeable set from Amazon and it’s just okay. I feel ready to move on to a different set
I am a metal needle fan, and my go-to set is the Knitters Pride Nova Platina Deluxe set! They are super smooth so the stitches glide nicely and have very sharp tips. I also like the Chiagoo red lace needles, and if you prefer wooden, I'd also recommend Knitters Pride Dreamz
The yarn softness scale was cracking me up 😂 love the editing
haha glad you liked it! I had a lot of fun making it during editing :)

She has a lot of patterns that are very similar!

That navy is just pure perfection 💙
Sockease much like Opal and Regia - while first knitting with them they’re not the softest but after they’ve been washed they do soften up really nicely; and they last for years extremely well.
These sock yarns are also more durable than soft merino yarn.

Your color choices are just too good!! I love the idea of cardigans for the summer and spring too!

That navy on you is to die for! Your skin is glowinggg
Thank you!!
The navy of your Monday sweater is so gorgeous! The color suits you so well! 🥰

I love the blue of your Monday Sweater. It looks absolutely stunning on you. =)
I love your navy sweater
Also love the blue. So pretty. I also like the cable pillow on your bed. Did you make that?
I did not make it but wish I did! It's from Target
beautiful sweaters and cardigans :))
I made the semper sweater crew neck is loose I need to add elastic, but it's a comfortable fit, with about three inches of ease.
Another wonderful podcast. Love seeing your knit projects. 😊
I just love that navy yarn! And the yarn softness scale was absolutely hilarious. Thanks for another great episode!
Thank you!! :) Glad you enjoyed!
Hi. I know editing is a hassle but I really do appreciate the effort you put into it 😊
Your Monday Sweater is beautiful and the navy looks great on you! I need to try the pattern - I really want that sweater. Thank you for your video.
Thanks for watching!

I just added a few of those to my Ravelry favorites! Thanks for the suggestions!
I love your vlogs. they are always so detailed and cozy ❤️ thank you!
can you talk about the knitted cable pillow on your bed ? lol
Love your podcast. One of my favorites
Love the color of your Monday Sweater!
Thank you!
Loved your sock yarn softness scale 😂such a cute educational moment!
Thank you! 😊
Haven’t watched the whole video yet but I spy the little squishmallows on your headboard and I love it 😍 is that Gordon the shark? We have a squishmallow addiction in this house 😂
YES haha I am also a big squishmallow fan! It is Gordon the shark and Malcolm the mushroom in the background
@@neknits OMG there’s a mushroom squishmallow?! 😭 i need him now

Beautiful Monday sweater :)
I am working on it right now but I think I dont understand the part with the short rows :( :( can someone help me? 🙏🙏
I’ve gone to your Etsy site once in ep 8 and one earlier and both times I was told to immediately get off that site because I could get hacked. Thought you should know.
Ah the link must've broken - I'll go back and fix that, thank you for pointing it out!
Can I ask how you shape the back on the grey sweater you are making? Thank you. It’s beautiful!
