You are my hero! I have been struggling with this for 2 days and was about to Root my K1Max and go through the trouble of installling Octoprint and all the other crap they say you need. I already hit that like on a few of your other videos, but now I'm a subscriber.
You can print from pc through Orca if you first import the file from your pc on the device screen. Then right click the project file and hit print. It'll give that 404 error again but start printing. Thanks for getting me to the point to connect so I could figure out the rest. Never tried just ignoring the 404 myself.
Thank you, you legend! I am feeling real dumb right now because you got me past the step I was failing at and it was super simple thanks to you help. Have a great day!
I've got an issue with my k1c where it's ignoring the slicer speed setting. No matter what, it does whatever 100% means on the menu, i emailed support, and they said there were solutions on youtube, which i have yet to find. I am using up to date orca slicer
@shayway if you install a additional web interface such as fluid after rooting your k1 or k1max, you have to point the orcaslicer to one of those interfaces by adding the port number to the URL. this should allow you to send the gcode directly from the slicer using the print function.
Thanks for the info. Better to use the Device Name than the IP address, because thanks to DHCP, the IP address can change every time you restart your network router. You can find the Device Name at the top of settings->system->about. Your printer uses its Device Name to request an IP address from the router.
Thank you so much for clearing this up,im mainly just getting away from the utterly crap creality slicer and this got my K1c noticed in the slicer . . . off to print , ,finaly
Thanks for the video. Very nice step by step. Issue: When importing G-Code file into Orca Slicer I sometimes fine that it will successfully import but, I cannot find the file to print. It does not show up under the "File Name" list. This seems to happen most often on larger objects but not always. What am I missing?
From the monitor screen use the "+ Import " button and it loads from your computer and sent wireless lyrics to the K1, where you can select to print at the k1 touch screen.
I just followed your video and the print option was readily available. I also used port 4408 for fluid in my IP and it pops up in Orca too so maybe that's why the print fiction works?
I have a solution for Ender 3 V3 KE rooted, fluid installed. You need to write ip:7125 to Hostname field. This is the port of moonraker service for accepting prints. For the UI field write ip:4408 this is the fluidd UI, this way the device tab show the UI. These are the default ports, you may need to check with your install.
So likely the only way to print to it is to root it. I rooted my CR10Se and now Orca sees it and I can print directly to it. My K1 is on the way and although late to the K1 game, got it for less than a KE. I'm sure the K1C is improved but not by much at 2x the cost of this one.
Hence the reason to root, now I understand. My K1 arrived yesterday, amazing, simply amazing, this morning I wanted to figure out how to not have the thumb drive hassle without the 'cloud' crap. Hopefully Creality will produce an end product that supports all the open-source splicers without having to load software in the future. The K1 has made up for the Ender 3 V2 Neo I fought for a weeks, they are taking my suggestions on getting Ender 3 V2 Neo profiles added to the open-source splicers.
I'm trying to do this with my K1C but I'm having an issue. Orca Slicer won't detect my ip when I type it in. My printers hooked up to wifi and everything. I followed all the instructions.
To anyone facing this issue. It was actually working the whole time after I typed in my ip. I didn't bother clicking the devices tab because it threw me an error and my printer didn't show up on the browse list. Still worked though.
The error that you bypassed after testing the Test button is an indication that print won't work. You need to use the Mainsail or Fluidd interface by adding the port number: 4409 or 4408, respectively. No error and print enabled.
how to send files? I get error 404 when sending files from orca to the printer normally. It tells me that I must have at least Octoprint 1.1.0. Can that be solved?
I was wondering how the interface worked, bummer, It's not quite how I would want. Only reason considering is I need the larger bed for some of my clients. I will let you know if I do pickup a machine if I find away around that, but it's easier to do that way then other ways I have seen.
Can anyone tell me if u can manually raise the k1 bed without turning it on? The glass was shattered and still has glass under the bed I can reach. I fear if I turn it on then the glass particles will mess up the motors
Here's the full explanation on accessing the printer using SSH and adding the required apps ruclips.net/video/YG34iK5wb14/видео.htmlsi=4cXXWSDtL9tkLuTk
Thank you for the video. I was about to route my new max, but didn't want to void the warranty. This was a simple way that works amazingly well.

I've been looking for a tutorial like this since I got my K1! Great video thanks :)
Glad I could help!

Any update on printing right from slicer?
also waiting
If anyone is still wondering about this, you go to the device tab, and find an import button, you can import and print from that section.
the print function needs the api key from the web interface, but creality doesnt provide that as far as i have found
Thanks for the video. Very nice step by step.

Awesome, thank you! Btw you can add that it's working for Ender 3 v3 KE :)
Thanks bro you gave me really good basics!
Great video, set it up and it's working great, still going to investigate rooting my max. thanks for sharing!
That is awesome, I dont need to use the USB any more!!!
Omg, thank you! I yesterday got my k1 max , i try that settings now!
I just followed your video and the print option was readily available. I also used port 4408 for fluid in my IP and it pops up in Orca too so maybe that's why the print fiction works?
you can still export import from the same slicer so that is better than the two slicer method

Genius!
Thank you. It's working perfectly
how can i print from ocraslicer ? do i need to route it and install klipper ?
Thank you for this tutorial. Great work.

Thank you so very much. I have both liked and subscribed.
Even using the import function I have to go to my printer to print... or use Creality device to start it remote
Thank you so much, I have the Ender 3 KE, and sick of swapping USB out.
You have to install fluidd to be able to upload and print directly to the printer over wifi
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll have to check this out
@@Shayway ill be looking for that video!

Anyone figure out the print function? I have fluid, still can’t do it.

I get the same error but my printer doesnt 'just' show up in devices
I really just needed patience, what the hell lol! thank you!!
Thanks bro 🙏
Thanks for another great video . Have you found out how to use the Print function of Orca slicer
Apparently the printer will need to be rooted. There’s a couple of other comments that talk about it.

So does the printer has to be rooted?
@@RFS_Mulm oh, yeah… sorry for my assuming that. It has to be rooted and Mainsail or Fluidd (respective to the port numbers) has to be installed.
thanks
Merci pour la vidéo.
tres instructif

When I press the test button it says I need to have Octoprint. I get the devices tab to work occasionally, its not consistent. Any suggestions?
Change your firewall settings and Add orcaslicer.
how do i do that exactly

It's not perfect but it works. Thanks for watching! Definitely interested if you find another way
Anyone know how i can setup my k1c with orca?
Did you found out how to use the upload and print button? Greetings from Germany
Not yet but I’m actively trying to figure it out!
Post it for us newbies when you do! Thanks in advance
Thank you!
Can anyone tell me if u can manually raise the k1 bed without turning it on? The glass was shattered and still has glass under the bed I can reach. I fear if I turn it on then the glass particles will mess up the motors
Yes, it's going to require you taking off the bottom plate and removing the belt in order to manually move the lead screws
Thank you :D
legend. thank you
Thanks for the video
worked
Here we go making me want a K1 Max some more...
It’s $650 at micro center right now! I’m having to talk myself out of it haha
@@Shayway Oh I am well aware! I don't need to buy it...
you have to root the printer so orcaslicer can have access to the upload its a klipper thing
