Peeker's advantage + Jumpshotting + Pre-Firing is almost always certain death for the other guy unless he can hear you doing it before it happens. People hate it when others jump-shot but what you said about strafe speed is absolutely correct. They nerfed strafing and most people don't like having to jump over every corner, so they play slower and most just opt-in to camp.
I aim for headshots so jumping does nothing, I laugh when they come up and jump and I still nail them! I'm sure it works good for those guys that are aiming at ground.
I agree, but please do not consider jumpshooting as a separate problem. Peekers-Holder is a netcode paradigm applied on a move input basis. The peeker is always the player who move for first (from a blind spot, eventually). "Move" not "Shooting", Jump is a kind move and when you Jump out of the corner for first you are the peeker and I'm the holder (camper) in pre-aiming. The network lag btw us plus our different reaction times do the rest .
@@zingez7768 not true... I've used mouse and keyboard on a ton of CoD games. Sadly I do hate the fact that controller is the only aim assist. LOL That's why people keep switching to controller.

My mind is blown. Ive playd fps games for years and years and this is something Ive noticed. I noticed that in times where I was able to play in flow and never stop moving, I would mop the floor. But the times where I was playing more calculated and slowly, other players would absolutely destroy me. Now I understand why.

You don't know how much you have helped understand this. I would always wonder why the hell did he see me first and why the killcam was different from my pov.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾✌🏾
Theres a few frustrating things about the recent MW titles is that are really frustrating for me. I’ve noticed a lot of strange mechanics involved in regards mitigating cameraing. I’ll jump a corner land a bullet almost immediately and die in one frame. In the kill cam it shows me sprint around the corner then aim then jump. I take damage and suddenly I skip or teleport to where I actually was on my screen. I think the predictive synch and lag compensation are essentially showing stagnant players a simulation of where the server thinks I’ll be in 20-30 milliseconds. Also, a lot of time I’ll be in the air, land 2-3 bullets to the chest and head. But I die and the character model I was shooting at, hadn’t even began shooting at me. In the kill cam, they fired a few misses, land one to my foot and I’m dead. For whatever reason, jump shooting is waaaay less effective in Modern Warfare titles in my experience. None the less, great tutorial!
It's lag compensation, and in MW2 it's extremely random. Some matches you feel untouchable because the lag compensation is in your favor, and others it feels like you get instantly deleted in one bullet by every gun because it's in the enemy's favor. It's one of the more frustrating things about the game in my opinion.
I played a lot of 24/7 shipment today to level weapons, and there's a whole lot funky stuff going on in that regarding lag and too much action going on in one place...
Its that pre fire or “peekers advantage” forsure you dont have time in this game to aim then jump you have to have the shot before the enemy to win unless they are just new or terrible at aiming
I like this video. It makes a lot of sense. So, this principle is true in real life, too. I used to be a cop and there were a number of things that were constantly engrained in us. First was that action is faster than reaction. We would train for fast draw and fire times with 2 shots center mass. Those of us who could do it in about half a second were fast enough fire at a target before most who were already drawn and aiming could fire a shot. The obvious benefit of that is that if someone were already pointing a gun at us and threatening us, we could draw and kill them before they could perceive the action and react. The other gun fight principle we were taught was "move or die." Being on the move requires your opponent to react to you. Again, action is faster than reaction. Other things to remember: First Rule of a gun fight = Have a gun. If you're out of ammo, you don't have a gun. Where there's one enemy there are two, where there are two there are 3. Be ready to immediately engage another possible threat. The car is a coffin. Don't get caught in your car.
Although I knew a good chunk of the information from this video, it still extremely helpful for those who don't know. Information that explains gameplay skills is so helpful. Searching up FPS guides would usually lead to a page on how to aim better. But this is great! You do amazing work for the community!Shared and PC.
I'm almost 40 played FPS's since well they were invented lol, but ALOT of my "ping knowledge/netcode knowledge" comes from my days playing Arena 2v2 or 3v3's in World of Warcraft, just like in FPS games you have to have Line of Sight on enemies to perform most abilities (aka being able to see and shoot them in an FPS) but yeah LOTS OF DYING AROUND CORNERS IN THE MID TO LATE 2000S LOL IN THAT GAME AND ALL FPS GAMES, they have tightened it up as much as they can I believe though.
Thanks for the video, I learned something I didn’t otherwise know. I find my most success by holding power positions and then rotating after a few kills so on and so forth until I get my MGB because of the game design. Loud feet, mini map doesn’t show un-suppressed fire, maps are cluttered with cover and places to hide in. I will say though if need one last kill or if I know exactly where a dude is at and I know it’s relatively safe, the peaker’s advantage thing is golden to me. That was actually how I got my last one and El Asilo. Dude was crouched in a corner and I flew out the doorway from a UAV he didn’t have ghost and boom he didn’t have time to react. You get a sub from me, I’m always excited to keep learning things it really seems like you know your stuff. 😁
I have another one, hip fire when strafing, ads whilst firing when you are dead centre on the opponent and the bullets all hit. It's useful against sweats when you are both moving.
Sprinting and aiming also works, "Camering" "Peakers advantange" "Camera breaking" All the same thing. Like don't walk around a corner, sprint around it, hop around it. People may not realize this but Strafe gameplay in MW2 actually works. I made 4 Strafe classes at the suggestion of Xclusive ace video and I went 24/0, 15/1 and 26/4 immediately. Centering also helps and actually aiming for the head as well as taking advantage of Aim assist while moving BUT A lot of people gun classes have very little strafe speed because people think staffing doesn't work in MW2 and focus more on Aim down sight because they are trying to utilize sprint to fire and camera breaking via rushing people. I play more ADS and methodical choke point lock down to stop rushers/pushing players. So I pick an area on the map and rotate around it to lock it down. People get upset and say "Camper" but I'm never in the same spot and I don't actually sit still, I rotate. I also sometimes rush too. I think people are heavily sleeping on strafe gameplay. You can strafe extremely fast when you create gun set ups for it and still gain Peaker's advantage without having to factor in Aim down sight speed since you're already aiming.
Yeh if ur not putting on the aim walking speed stock on every gun I don’t know how u play the game effectively, not only around corners but becoming a moving target, the impact of moving ur body left and right to where chest shots become arm shots or jumping once in a gunfight so upper torso shots become lower torso or leg shots for them is insane
I watched a scump vid and he jumped almost every time he shot, so I just started doing that and u win A LOT more gunfights than u expect, comes down to the server delay as well, u can’t react to that movement unless u jump with them
I play on pc!! I do agree it is much harder to be defensive in a gunfight compared to offensive imo. Pre-firing corners with audio queues or game sense with the map flow is good as well, but it’s hard; especially with people jumping around.
Okay, now that makes sense. When I camp, I am so inefficient and usually get my a handed to me. But when I am more agile and constantly running and gunning, I get the most kills. Didn't realize the reason behind that but I at least figured I had to be mobile without knowing the reason that this video was describing. Thanks for sharing your secret sauce on other videos about tweaking guns and stuff. Sub'd.
Shared! Steam! Great explanation of peekers advantage. I have played CSGO for over 10 years and while I heard about the term, I never really checked how it worked. Now knowing this will help me in both COD and CSGO. Time to go full Xantares on everyone. Keep up the great content!
The problem with peekers advantage in COD is since the autoaim is so massive the peekers information dissadvantage gets negated. the peeker just need to aim roughly in the general direction of the guy in the room and hit the fire button and activision does the locating and aiming automatically via aim assist. This is where the feeling of unfairness comes from., in other games like CS:GO or valorant the person entering the room has to find and aim at the target for himself costing valuable time making the engagement feel more fair.
That's totally true, but won't get adressed - as quite a lot of players are on consoles, and that's bussiness. The could at least allow to disable cross controller platform play. It's all right when I get my ass handed out to me by another mouse player, fair fight, but drive me mad when I see auto-aim allowing lower skill player to win. And believe me, this happens.
A major reason I prefer Gyro Aim for controllers. Closer to "mouse-like" aim without the need of AA. Would be nice to see this become a lot more popularized.
I love all these things which very naturally lead into centreing, awareness and being prepared for a gunfight. U can’t use peekers advantage well without knowing the map and where to aim right as u peek the corner (looking at that door through the walls) which is good centreing.
And as an extension, the ability to hug the right walls when clearing angles, ads spamming mid doorways and lanes not at a wall all keeps ur mind engaged on where enemies are coming from. Coz I always know the basics of look where you predict enemies, but my mind always drifts and then I am only proactive when I hear footsteps, and these really made me good at anticipation (aka walls to a noob)
Also, SHARED! Ps5 Keep up these videos brother, this is still surprisingly rare content. I do wish more people really dug into the use of controller with extended thumb sticks, precision rings, hand placement, thumb positioning, also aim and centreing training or how good players can mimic pros to train effectively and not just have a natural skill progression with time
This is so interesting. Thank you for making this. There’s times I’ve known someone is round a corner and I’ve held back almost nervous but now I realise it’s always best to just go and make first move
You mentioned it may be hard for some to fix aim while jumping without paddles. Although some people like using stick and move; I highly recommend using Bumper jumper tactical control settings. Keep your index finger on the left trigger with its joint slightly on the bumper and boom; easy jump shots and drop shots while keeping thumbs on both sticks. I play with an Xbox remote, so not sure how it feels in a dual sense remote
I recently started using bumper jumper. It's a game changer for me. But still getting used to it. Still tossing random tacticals when I mistakenly press A to mount or jump, lmao
I don't know why it took me so long to realize this, I can't aim while jumping because I don't have paddles on my controllers. . . And that actually puts me in anyone else's in the same position as me at a major disadvantage to controller players with paddles and keyboard and mouse players because both those players can jump and aim. I've never tried to do jump maneuvers because they just don't work for me simply because I can't aim. I always thought the people jump maneuvering we're snap aiming when they landed. It never really crossed my mind that they were aiming while jumping something that I'm incapable of doing
Hi Darkblade, due to this issue I changed my controller layout (PS5)to tactical. Then I put Jump on L1, Tactic grenade on O and Melee on X. Now I can Jump (L1) and aim (L2). You get used to it very fast.
Shared! ps5 I love these videos. Ive been playing cid since the 1st mw2 and I feel like im always learning something new when I watch your videos. Thanks!

Love the videos bro❤ is there any possibility you could do a video about learning spawns or something like that? Or is it just learned through game repetition
It’s not really a complicated move. You just hop at a certain angle which gives you the immediate advantage on someone who won’t be able to react as quick lol.
Peeker's advantage is pretty much 0 since it takes less time to react to someone peeking you than you peeking them. For instance, if I jump a corner, I will take longer to realize someone than if they jumped around the corner I was waiting for them at.
No, when you peek you should know the angle you are peeking and given you know when you are going to peek and enemy does you will often react faster. It's called prepared reactions. Also prefiring.
@@sirdetmist3204 you will not always know where they are, so you have to "find them" on your screen, react to seeing them since you don't know they are there, aim at them then shoot, whereas they just have to shoot
To be honest, peeker's advantage is a problem to be solved. Seem like slowing the strafe aiming movement was one way to do that, which in turn made jumping the solution. This needs to be nerfed as well - for example lower accuracy when jumping, or enhance spread. Then we'd get closer to solving the peeker's advantage problem and leveling the field.
As someone that knows all this, it was a great reminder. Well explained. Also, you didn't quite say it, but got right up to it, the people who rely on slide canceling and dislike the movement in MW2 have issues because of a skill gap.
I wouldn't say all that. The Movements are just not natural. You dont see soldiers anywhere in the world skipping and jumping and sliding when shooting. This should be more realistic game like it was originally intended. I really wish people would stop saying Skill gap because they dont agree with someone else opinion on this game

i learned about this in MW 2019 being so bad in lag at times. watching a kill cam, and going " how the hell did i not see this guy yet he is shooting me?". yea.. its definitely for the agro player, and one way to counter campers, which are either just defending the objective, or, hiding in a corner no where near it, to pad their kill streak, or work on camos.

I've never tried to do jump maneuvers because they just don't work for me simply because I can't aim. I always thought the people jump maneuvering we're snap aiming when they landed. It never really crossed my mind that they were aiming while jumping something that I'm incapable of doing
Play claw or use bumper jumper tactical so you can jump and you can aim you don’t need paddles to do that
Try stick and move settings
Hi Darkblade, due to this issue I changed my controller layout (PS5)to tactical. Then I put Jump on L1, Tactic grenade on O and Melee on X. Now I can Jump (L1) and aim (L2). You get used to it very fast.
Shared! ps5 I love these videos. Ive been playing cid since the 1st mw2 and I feel like im always learning something new when I watch your videos. Thanks!
I want that game dev to react to shotzzy movements. And put in his 2 cents when he's reacting to it.
Who ever cries why you do this, they are weak players and proves they have no actual skill. They should appreciate your getting them real competition, sore losers. Glad u do this. Respect
Love the videos bro❤ is there any possibility you could do a video about learning spawns or something like that? Or is it just learned through game repetition
I for sure can make a vid on that bro! A lot of it is repetition but there are definitely some specific things people do to read/manipulate the spawns
@Rehtycs brother you are such a legend, a lot of what I've picked up in COD came from watching your videos🥺❤️
Definitely had to sub and share this ! This was so helpful man, thanks so much . I just went from a F tier bot to E tier on Xbox 😂
It’s not really a complicated move. You just hop at a certain angle which gives you the immediate advantage on someone who won’t be able to react as quick lol.
this is awesome bro, keep em coming, these vids are amazing
It's really nice that people understand how helpful your guides are! I even found myself in the end LoL

You’re a legend bro!
@@Rehtycs 🍻
i do this type of movements just because i see pro players do it, its very effective i didnt know its that deep, so im going to use it more ty
Been looking for youtube account that shows tips for mw2 without bs and ur videos are really great. Keep up the good work man! Shared! PC
Thank bro!
100% movement mechanics have ruined the fps scene in recent years due to this issue.
Or just not allowing people to play while using a VPN
Can you explain why, I put full mag into enemy and he turns around and kill me with 3-4 bullets?
Having the same problem
Hitting the enemy with 2-3 bullets before he hits me but I'm dieing first
Missing shots you don’t realise, slow initial reaction time and perhaps poor internet
Shared. Great video. I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve seen this information. 👍👍
Love these guides man. Keep it up ❤
Shared! I love the vids man only found you today, it's crazy how good your videos are you deserve more subscribers. Keep it up 👍
As someone that knows all this, it was a great reminder.
@@navyvet7138 this isn’t a real game at all go play trakov or rs6 or csgo there nothing ever real abt cod it’s a arcade shooter zombies and jet pack and no scope one slide cancel hit melee aim assist throwing tomahawk across the map non of that equal realism in a game
@@Jj-ry9yw bro csgo and rainbow definitely aren’t any better??? I sure do love bhopping through Ivy out mid and through connector on my casual stroll.
@Navy Vet713 this is the worst take ive ever heard. cod has never been and never will be a realistic game. call of duty is an ARCADE shooter
Thanks for going in depth on peeker's advantage Rehtycs! Shared, PC!
I was wondering how this always happens to me. My ping is like 80. Shared and I play on Xbox
Edit: holy crap I started up a match after watching this and it completely changed my gameplay for the better
Let’s go! You’re a beast😎
A big thanks for the explanation...this has been bugging me for years 👍🏻
Also shared this 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much for all your helpful videos, it's helped me improve a lot in my games. So thank you! (Shared - PS5)
In MW2, barrels and stocks can be fine-tuned to increase the ADS strafe speed. This can really be nice with SMGs
I knew something about peekers advantage but this clearified it even more thanks

Wooow this IS really Big help ☺️ thank you for you amazing content

Another great Video. You explain the things so good, hope your channel will grow😃shared
Shared! I Sent your vid to the groupchat with the boys and they said there loving your content! Btw i play pc/battlenet. Keep up the great content my man
I never heard of this so yes this was a very helpful (random video) across my screen lol. Definitely will change my thinking and response to those moments that seem like automatic deaths without a fight.
Wow that's refreshing somebody who said there are going to be talking about something in their video and actually went ahead and did it not only that went ahead and explained it to me like I was a four-year-old child with a crayon That's f****** awesome. Kudos to you my friend Best of luck in all your endeavors on RUclips since you seem to be the only person putting out honest RUclips content about the thing or topic that they say they plan on explaining excellent job done well done young man!
Great vid!👌 maybe you should explain how it works when you have higher ping then the people you are playing;)
I cant stop thinking about this “peekers advantage” when i play now every time i hear someone i jump out pre shooting like i was here first lol
this is great content that the pros should be putting out, keep it up my guy
Thanks man I appreciate your time and effort to deliver this kind of content! Be bless!!
your guides are awesome, thanks! (of course shared :))
thank you you answered a lot of questions in one video... now i understand why i feel so slow ..and why they bounce around like kangaroos lol
i learned about this in MW 2019 being so bad in lag at times. watching a kill cam, and going " how the hell did i not see this guy yet he is shooting me?".
yea.. its definitely for the agro player, and one way to counter campers, which are either just defending the objective, or, hiding in a corner no where near it, to pad their kill streak, or work on camos.
You made a really good break down explanation video bro i appreciate it keep up the work man
Wow what a great video I was not understanding this method what so ever. Great info and explanation on this topic.
Thank you for making this ❤ gonna try using this in whats left of season 5
I've SHARED this video with my friends before hearing about the giveaway... Great work in this video Man. I play COD on XBOX SS
Thanks for that , I just saw your channel for the first time and have subd after that awesome tip thanks homie
Shared! love this info and how well you broke it down!! Battlenet!
SHARED. PS5 my guy. Great info. Something I never really thought about. Usually running like a 21ms ping with my fiber connection so I'm at a good advantage. And now I know why everyone is jumping corners!
Shared thank u so much for all the videos u post has helped me a ton especially the one u did on aim assist. I play on ps4
This makes so much sense especially in ranked when you’re doing SND or Control! My brother asked me why I move around on hard point so much and I tell him it’s to make me a harder target while sitting still on the point it’s always 50/50 but seems to help a ton
Shared this with a few friends and subscribed. thank you for explaining so well, I’ve always sprint/slide since sprint was introduced and just started jumping corners after a 5 year break from FPS.
knowing the computer science behind the methods definitely helps with utilizing the strategy thank you!
Shared mate. Great content, thanks. Battlenet on PC - genuine garbage but getting better slowly!
I've just found your channel this evening. I am not sure if you have discussed this but will you talk about aim and sensitivity?
I have 2 videos made about it recently! One video on how to aim better in 3 steps & one explaining how to use aim assist better!
@@Rehtycs awesome thank you!
Shared. Commented. Plays on Xbox. Literally was complaining about "why do these people keep jumping and somehow getting me so much?" Granted I was thinking they were just the people that jump while in gun fights too, like old school games like quake. This is why I subscribed though. I was playing split screen so my ping had to be bad, so this makes perfect sense. Thanks for the video I'll be following now. Def want to be entered into that Xbox sweepstakes thing.
Ok, now I understand why people jump like idiots around corners lol, I could never make sense of it, but now I understand. Thanks for the tip, I shared the video and gave a like.
That video is very helpful ❤ some of it information I already knew before, but with your explanation that makes a whole lot of sense now. Thanks 🙏 Shared, I play on PS5
Shared and subscribed. I play on PS5. Thank you for this video. I always wondered how they saw me first, and this helped explain that.
Thanks for this video!! This gave me better approach when playing multiplayer
This explains a lot to me and my pal! We been banging out heads against a wall trying to figure this shit out
Thanx, great info. Shared, maybe ill run into your destructiveness while i play in my PS5. Looking forward to your next video
Thanks & welcome to the channel! Glad to have you!!
This actually makes sense , cuz imma SnD Sweat on COD and ik when my shots hit and when ik the person im about to delete knowing their location from comms and UAV and when I have perfect positioning, just for them to already kno where I was at and coming from , I’d rage alot lols , now ik of “ Peekers Advantage” , thanks bro
Awesome bro, why have I been with Ears and JGod for so long, as good as these legends are, your careful explanation is at the right level. Shared
This explains so much to me about what I'm seeing on screen when I play.
Another great vid. I've been utilising PA for years and understood it, but the reaction time calculations never occurred to me.👍
Shared - PS5
Very cool video! Perfect explanation. Thank you!
My preferred play style is a little more "realistic". I peek cover and hold position. Don't really camp because i watch a large area, not a doorway. But am prime bait for peeking. I also have very slow internet and high ping. So when i do occasionally play, it makes it mostly unejoyable.
That audio helped me out alot and just anticipating potential fights.
Legit worked! Im nube asf just properly getting into cod and these tips legit clutched big time. Thanks a bunch dude 🤘🏻
Amazing video, keep them coming buddy 👍🏼👍🏼

Ps5 and have played cod for years always wondered this. Thank you genuinely
Joel .. I love the video , it actually answers the questions I was asking myself alot. thanks...... please post more as we venture n the endless updats . I play on Xbox s.
There’s a reason why pros are usually moving around so much, and this is one of the reasons why.
Well done men!!! Another great video!!!!
Awesome video man. Ive been playing FPS shooters since they first came out and watching your video this explains everything lol. All those years of screaming HOW! OMG HOW DID THEY GET ME! I feel like a bulb went off and it all makes sense now lol.
I just learned about Peaker's Advantage. Dope.
