Pour Monsieur EDT has been one of my go-to fragrances since 2002, always having been in my rotation since I first bought it when I was 19. I love it, but it certainly isn't for everyone.
I agree. Pour Monsieur edt is underrated. I bought a bottle of the edp and disliked that one so much that I threw it in the bin.
My top 3 from Chanel's standard line are Edition Blanche, Egoiste & Pour Monsieur EDP. From the Les Exclusifs line it's Coromandel, Sycamore & Le Lion.
Can we ever get a Jo Malone video? 👀 They only have 5 or 6 fragrances that lean masculine/truly unisex. I recently got a bottle of the somewhat new release Cypress and Grapevine and I can’t believe how there’s basically no one talking about it. It’s incredible and it performs like a beast for a fresh fragrance (10-12h, not like other JM fragrances that don’t really perform)
I love that too along with English Oak and Hazelnut and Pomegranate Noir

I’ve been using low and high end perfumes for years the one thing I can tell you is that the oil content on your skin impacts any brand. Sometimes the cheapest brand lasts and smells the best on your skin. The only way to know what’s good for you is to spray on your skin leave it for the day and make your choice.

Users of BLEU DE CHANEL Parfum, in simpler terms, are those who seek a more intimate form of attention rather than the spotlight. I firmly believe that perfume is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. And I am one of them. :)

I own all of the above and consider them all 9/10 or better(1 and 2 are about as high as it gets and in my top 10 all time but I never give a perfect score). I also own Sycomore and Bois des Iles but they aren't part of the men's line(part of the Les Exclusifs de Chanel) however if I were to include them in this ranking they would occupy the 3rd and 4th spot pushing everything else up by two. The remaining fragrances I do not consider collection worthy and while I think they are all solid I rate them between a 6.5/10 and a 7.8/10.

Love love love Chanel. I own every Mens Chanel and every Les exlcusif. Tho I will say the latest 2 releases Comete and Superleggera are a bit underwhelming. But when it comes to 10/10 fragrances, Egoiste Platinum and Coromandel are 2 of the most perfect fragrances imo

Hello Omar. Great review! This year (on springtime) I bought Allure homme Édition blanche and I must say that it was for me a great mistake. This fragrance has a nice aroma, but only stays on my skin for 3 hours. With this experience, and with similar aroma, I prefer by far Lemon Line (Mancera) or Lemon Tart (Theodoros Kalotinis). Among the perfumes on your list I'd put Allure Homme Édition blanche in 14th position. See you soon!
Interesting to hear your thoughts on Egoiste. I've always loved this one. I think you get very similar vibes from frags like Spicebomb and Carlisle - but I don't think they're as good.

Can’t agree more with the Bleu De Chanel Parfum being number 1. One of the best designer fragrances in the market if not the best, along with Prada L’homme Intense and Noir Extreme Parfum.
N 3 and N3 then N4 and that is it for me, you can spend a life with those adding la nuit de l'homme ysl that is enough
For me:
1. Platinum Egoiste (vintage formulaton).
2. Allure Homme Edition Blance EDT Concentree (much more creamier than current EDPs).
3. Bleu De Chanel EDP
Fair play to place Anteus very high. It is absolutely marvelous. I will switch to it after YSL Kouros EDT for sure. But surely not everyone likes "old-school" French fougere / chypre / oriental classics. Man, this is an example of 80s era. Well, everyone's opinion is subjective, as well as such a ranking game. I am also a fan of BDC Parfum, truly the best concentration, however, it would be extremely difficult me to place Allure Homme Eau Extrême and BDC Parfum right, almost impossible. xD Both are wonderful smooth blends and extremely versatile perfumes.
I like this new series
As a collector I picked BDC EDT over EDP. To me the EDT is the pure DNA of what makes it great and the editions of Amber/smoke and reformulation just doesn't jive with me, as a collector who prefers the original scent profile in most cases. EDP also doesn't project much at all which is a disappointment. EDT doesn't get enough love. If they would've kept the scent profile exactly the same and left the amber/smokyness to the Parfum it would've been better imo. So if you are a collector I'd suggest either EDT or Parfum. If you are gonna go amber just commit instead of having this weird inbetween the two scent

I agree the only 2 chanel fragrences I enjoyed enough to get full bottle were Allure Homme Edition Blanche which imo is one of the best summer time gourmands which seems to be somewhat rare and underexplored in the fragrence world and bleu de chanel which is my personal favourite designer blue fragrence.
The platinum egioste lasts extremely long on me the De blue parfum does not even make 4 hours but is highly recommend by everyone. Different strokes for different folks 😂
Omar, I suggest you try and make a video about givenchy gentleman 1974, since you like a lot barbershop kinda fragrances. I love it, hope you will as well!

It's important to understand Chanel's ethos is to have men smelling fresh and commanding with masculine elegance. They dont really subscribe to boozy or sweet bubble gum unisex/man fragrance tiktok trend smells. The entire Chanel Men's lines are meant to be a one stop shop - all you need is Chanel and nothing else.
Antaeus is such a masculine James Bond sophisticated fragrance. It's for someone who is confident and intentional - the leader of the friend group. Bold, 80s without the grandpa aftershave smell.
Bleu EDP is the best one to get. All purpose. Any occasion. It's nice, but its the safe bet - the blend in dont stand out but appropriately nice. You might smell like her (or his) ex.
Plat Egoiste is the king of spicy office and formal occasion scents. Elegant, in control, non shouting. Spray at 7am and it'll still be going 7pm heading home. Masterpiece.
Allure Cologne Sport is the gym/errands scent. The dumb reach grab. It's not strong, doesnt last more than about 4 hours on sweaty skin. It's pleasant. Leaves a stunning scent trail.
Allure Homme Edition Blanche is my Nº1. Rare and getting harder to find. This is summer, limoncello, linen unbuttoned shirts, hotel with lace curtains in the breeze Capri in the distance in a bottle. It's delicious, effervescent, highly complimented, perfect for hot and humid weather.
Just getting into fragrances. I do have Antaeus. In my collection. Which is 10 so far. Mostly 80s lol. Was thinking adding platinum Egoiste next.
I bought the big bottle of Edition Blanche last month beautiful scent BUT OMG IT IS SO FAINT OF A SMELL, spray it, I get a whiff of it and puff it’s gone! 😂

With all due respect I beg to disagree. Modern chemistry and modern parfumery render Antheus and Egoiste completely outdated. Thus, Antheus should go much closer to the end of your list. On the other hand Allure Homme Sport Extreme has to be placed much higher, even though it is sharp and minty in the opening. Number one and number two spots are spot on !
Where is Xerjoff guy?
Omar, would you get allure homme or xerjoff uden? I smelled both and they are very similar (I think owning both would be redundant). Maybe the openings are different but mid and dry down are very similar.
Also, I got a sample of superlagera and am getting a strong calone note in the Drydown. Still can’t decide if I like it.
I own both, I don’t think it’s redundant. But overall, if you want purely a spring summer scent, go for Blanche. For more versatility, Uden.
Antaeus wipes the floor with those bleu de channels any day and twice on a Sunday. Easily!

1 BdC Parfum. The end. Maybe, maybe edition blanche but that is it. Many are not aware how bdc parfum is really good. The edt and edp have that synthetic note, lemon or something that always kept me from getting either one. But the parfum has leas of the citrus, more of that inky dark woody blue. Almost a niche version of bdc. I avoided it for years as I did not like edt and edp. Last oct 2023, I gave it a proper wearing. It was colder day, windy... my freaking god! Something so good I have not smelled in ages. I fell in love and got me 10 150ml bottles. Spent a fortune but I am now set for life. The rest of the line and overall chanel as a house is dud for me. How they do floras... yuck. Citruses... nope. Vanilla, doesnt sit well with my skin. Only edition blanche I was considering this summer but it kept giving this funky dryown vibe. Egoiste is nice but I would never reach for it as I have tons of better options.
Edition blanche > Bleu Edt > AH sport I like em fresh..

To me, Platinum Egoiiste is dated and smells much too much like an after shave from several decades ago. Imagine a meeting with a man in business 30+ years ago, maybe insurance or investments, and this is what he would have worn. Chanel needs to permanently retire this fragrance. I had a bottle and ended up giving it away. Odd how Chanel keeps fragrances for perhaps too long and how Dior eliminates fragrances inexplicably and too soon, at least from their Privee line.
