I'm privileged do be part of an awesome worship team at my church. We never call it a stage where we perform but a platform from where we worship and praise. Jesus is always the focus of what we do and how we do it. It can never be just a performance. If so your just another band claiming your Christians.

So I'm a professional musician and I'm a Christian and I have heard the debate over the "style" of music used in worship. i enjoy Old Hymns, Gospel, praise and Worship, Christian Rock, ETC. I think God is using all these different styles to draw people to him. People who otherwise might not be interested in hearing the gospel. With that said, I pray ALL Christian musicians who claim to be serving Jesus Christ, check their hearts and their motives. It's easy to get caught up in the praise and attention of your fans. Walk in the world, but do not be of the world.(paraphrase) God bless and keep rocking for jesus

its not really much of a difference in music imo, not a very hard song seeing that i used be into megadeth. I think its awsome change. even contemporary music nowadays is wayy different in the 70's. there would be no get up without the likes of megadeth/ metallica whether you like it or not. You can worship Jesus anyway and every style of music like rap which im not fond of but it can be done. So why not worship God to bring people to christ? some people only listen to one style of music

I think it has todo more with the genre/style of the music. When they introduced some heavy metal remixes from some songs, everyone was nostalgic. Just the evolution of the band and his members. Do I like this type of genre/style more then what they do now, it depends on each song. But the message is still the same, that's all what matters ;-)
