As someone who has given group 1, law, accounts and cost books are definitely not worth it.
Law: zerox code of wages; company law has only few amendments, you can get their individual notes. Buisness laws have remained constant, and ethics has just a few pages that can be taken from PDF.
Amalgamation, piecemeal distribution, final accounts of LLP, Accounting standards and lease accounting are only new portions. Computerized accounting, Royalty and self balancing ledger are no longer in syllabus.
Syllabus is more or less same with cost.
Tax is the only study material you would need to buy
What about the remaining how we can study cost accoumts

Will 2016 be sufficient?

they came n introduce 2022 syllabus😅😅
For final students, the book costs ₹.700. Too expensive.
And xtra 100rs for delivery as well😂

It depends where are you employed. If you are employed with the organisations specified by the CMA institute, then you will be able to take the exemption

You have to choose at the time of conversion / getting registered with CMA Final

No, I don't think it will be because the Institute mandatorily said to convert to 2022 syllabus to give examination in June 24.
But it is icmai, if until exam form, it hasn't come then the notification for syllabus 2016 will not come

So we can take printout of those chapters only from all 8 subjects.
