In this clip, Shawn Prez spoke to Chingy about Eazy-E and N.W.A. being pioneers and game changers, and Shawn asked Chingy about Eazy being on a list of the “50 Worst Rappers.” Chingy explained that his name was being thrown around the discussion, and he went on to speak about why these types of lists are subjective because everyone has different tastes. He also pointed to his album sales and his large fanbase, which led to Chingy questioning how he’s a bad rapper. Chingy added that having leaders and pioneers like Master P and Eazy-E on the list shows him that those lists “mean nothing.”

Can't say I ever bought a chingy record, but I always jammed to his music when it came on the radio, and what happened to him, with the transgender lying on him was a travesty. The way that he's handled it with Grace over the years is a testament to how he is as a person. I honestly never believed it.

I not into his music that much, but there is no denying he was a talented rapper and worked hard in his career.
You take the good with the bad. If you accept compliments, you have to accept criticism or reject them both. Because the same way that you can attempt to invalidate someone's negative critique, you can also invalidate someone's positive critique. That's why I respect Rakim, because he understands this.

Chingy should have had a longer run. He was definitely a part of my era. I never dropped a flop. I wouldn't put him in the ring against a Rakim, Nas, or Redman... but he made timeless music. Put any Chingy since on in the club and the baddies report to the dance floor. I fw Chingy. He just caught some bad publicity.
Give Chingy his flowers, he came out with a different sound and all his music aged better than most.

Being one of the worst rappers doesn’t mean everyone agrees that you’re the worst rapper, it just means that most people would agree you’re somewhere near the bottom of the list lol. And they’re not going to include rappers with no deals or rappers people barely know so it just is what it is. The lists are for clickbait though and they work every time whether they’re right or wrong. They probably actually get more clicks when they’re way off because of everyone expressing their outrage so these types of lists will always exist.
