then things would be too easy and you'd start to question your existence. zbrush is like the alchemist's search for the philosophers' stone, deliberately arcane and labyrinthine to deter the casuals. only the true acolytes may pass through the eye of the needle.
Man this software is an Industry standard, yet why haven't you guys update the UI to be more user friendly? this convoluted mess always scares potential customer away, other software have a one tap delete selected button, why does this one don't? I'm scracthing my head here, because even a free software like blender understands that this is an issue and update their UI in the 2.8 update, please tell me why? because I can't sleep without an answer.

in blender , select polys , x= delete done. in zbrush , mask polys, ctrl w = polygroup from masked, then ctrl ,alt, shift=hide selection, then , geometry in list, modify topology list , then "HALLELUJAH" del hidden ...................im going to copy and paste what ive just typed as a reminder for this convoluted nonsense. fyi im gettting realy good with zbrush these days , im navigating around like i was driving a car for years, but make no mistake , when blender creators develop somthing to eqaul zbrush "subtools" maybe a bare bones version of blender , we,ll name as " blendsculpt" possibly a new instance of blender for every" subtool/obj" but sharing the same screen space , its a good start 3 to 4 million verts per instance/ obj and as many istances as you like . ....when this day happens i will happily drop zbrush like a stone.
With a simple macro it's just mask>hotkey to delete masked. Easy. Meanwhile in Blender you hit X and a list of a dozen things pops up. :D Nothing weirder for a user coming from Max or Maya when deleting verts/edges/faces needs its own tutorial so you know why edges and verts are randomly floating around in space.
why can't this interface be user friendly...it is the bane of my existence xD
right? XD
cause low IQ devs

thank you so much! I was confused how to do that for long time
Thank you this helped me today.
Is there any way to adjust the light color for polygon generation? I usually see the color on my computer. Thank you
Thanks for the explanation
How can we fill the hole left over?
that is a good question
So clicking with CTRL does not switch the mask to the unmasked.
Why not just have this be a hotkey or something like Ctrl + Alt + Shift + W + Del + PgDn + MMB? Wouldn't that be shorter :D
Thank you!
Amazing ❤️❤️ Thanks
thank you so much!!!
This was great thank you!
how to delete the group itself? not the mesh..
what if there are layers
I came here when the delete key did nothing
amazing
