Gordon Solie was my all time favorite announcer. GCW was fabulous.

This is the calmest I ever heard Stan Hansen in a promo.

GCW had a working agreement with the AWA at this time. Enjoyed this period of Georgia wrestling.

I love this channel. I've a lot of these many times. But I don't care. And the Harley Race and Championship Wrestling from Florida videos. Can't wait to see some world class and stampede 😊

    Karl Fergie, Lawler’s cousin.

looks like being related to Lawler didn't help you get a big spot in Georgia.....I noticed Fergie was a little further up the card in Mempho. Wayne Ferris seems to have done better for himself outside of Memphis.

I wonder if the Jobber facing Kox just had enough and decided to quit? It clearly was not a finishing hold. Or maybe they needed to break for commercial?

Watch how the legs are grapevined and crammed backwards on his body before the chin lock is applied.

@@TGCdnTalkShow It was impressive. No doubt I would submit! It's just that I was surprised because Kox is not usually known for Marcus of Queensburry technical wrestling . He is a brawler. He is not a Brisco or Billy Robinson type. He usually wins by dropping a guy from six feet high on to his head.

@@scribe570exactly! Maybe the director gave the signal to wrap things up. It just didn't seem like a typical wrestling finnisher to me. I feel that there was some sort of miscommunication in the match

At 7.35 minutes Kox applies the Indian Death Lock without applying additional pressure by leaning back. That was sometimes a finish.
