You guys are lucky. Locally there's no second hand market for graphics cards. Like in 2000km radius. I had to opt for a mid range 1060 which is all good, got a warranty and was quick before crysis but I'd rather get a 780 for half the price. Still love watching these videos time to time. YES YES YES MAN I have 970sli with a i7 4770k 32gb ram,i got the pc with a 770 so i got 1 more 770( 770sli) and after 6mnts it was time for a upgrade to 970 sli and 2yrs later I'm still vvv happy as i play at 1080p, I'm so happy with my gpu's and the i7. Thanks for the great video. James.
Another great video man! this crypto crisis is a nightmare! i was pretty bummed out when i bought my 4GB RX560 last year because anything more powerful was so overpriced but looking at how its affected even budget cards now i feel really lucky to have it!
Reference R9 290's are super cheap, yeah they are loud and hot but you get used to it and you can set a custom fan curve which can make them a bit more tolerable. At the end of the day though they are very good value for money on the used market in most places!
I undervolted both my 290s (Tri-x & Vapor-x) which I both brought for around $230nzd each to 1120-1100mV state 6&7 and 1100ish mem, runs 6 degrees cooler in my case.
Your videos are much more appealing to me than a lot of You tubers who get everything for free to review. You connect to a broader spectrum of PC gamer out there who can actually afford most of the stuff you review and play with on your channel. I salute you.
Got myself a good ol' 780 Ti Phantom Edition for 110 bucks, and I have been able to top a 1060 with a modest overclock. On Unigine Heaven, scored 18000 at 1080p AAx8 and Extreme tesselation on Ultra quality when a stock 1060 manages 16000.
I agree with the majority of the list. For some reason, I’ve never been able to find old AMD cards in your price bracket, they’re always super inflated. But yeah, I’ve scooped a GTX 780 for $80 and a GTX 660 for $20, all providing great value for money
I got my R9 280X long back before this video was made and gotta admit. You weren't wrong, that card did just wow me really hard, it's now my GPU for my Ryzen 3 2200G for my "LAN Party" PC, not really worth an upgrade for an RX 580 in my opinion (Since I got one for around 75 dollars, the XFX model which is as long as my arm kek) Bryan, since 2017 you saved me in terms of PC building, I needed one for an extreme emergency back those days and the days were probably the WORST to make one, you saved me, that's why I became a Patron for you, you deserve it, aside from a nice builder, a nice person too. Cheers from Mexico mah' brother.
For a second hand, no...You can get a RX 580 4GB for like 185$ brand new, warranty and all. If I ever had to buy a second hand I would go for half the price or less unless it has low use and warranty still in place. But then I don't know where do you live, in my country prices are crazy, I couldn't even get a second hand RX 580 for 185U$$ :P
here is my pc installed components: core i5 2400 quad-core clocked to 3.70 GHZ 8 GB ram ddr3 1 TB hard drive 250 GB SSD gtx 1050ti other: mastercooler case water cooled full loop radiator and lastly a 144 HZ monitor

Also got a curved 1080p 144hz MSI monitor for $160. I was going to attempt an all-budget build, but a 1070 build would've only been $150 cheaper, a 1060 $100 cheaper than that, and for an rx590 or something idk. But I'm perfectly happy with my specs.
@@xahndi3300 swear to god. im looking for a new case, this is a $120 one, but its white when the theme i want is black and red. ive got no reason to lie my friend. if you look and look and look, you can find all kinds of deals buddy. ive been thinking about buying a 1080 or a ti even for like $300, cause my 2070 is overkill for me really. but i guess its good to have it once games do start really implementing it, cause its going to be beautiful.
@@TheGauges420Sorry man it's just so many people lie how the have like rtx titans in sli and sht sometimes when i hear the word or phrase rtx is pisses me off ill try not to jump to conclusions
@@xahndi3300 yeah no, my 2070 is really truly overkill for me. thinking of getting this entire pc for $400 with rgb 16gb ram, 1060 6gb, r5 1500x, just swap some parts around with mine, sell off the extra, make my nephew a cool little budget pc in the meantime with that 1060 probably. i want a 1080 or 1080ti probably, no reason to have anything more for all im doing, playing games really. vr though mind you, but still, 1060 6gb can handle that well enough, the 1080 can too lol. the 2070 is great and all, but im not even interested in overclocking really, and my card is an MSI Duke Geforce RTX 2070 OC 8gb, and i know 0 about oc'ing lol.
Any guess on where the performance of a gtx 950 would rank amongst this list? This is a great video and I really like the performance numbers for older gear on new games.
Tech YES City they're a bit rare, I have one, and in Europe at least when you find one, they're only 10 or 12€ over the 3gb one. I genuinely wonder if it's worth the premium over the 3gb for someone buying used
Guess with a 7970 that amount of VRAM isn't really of much use. Ofcourse it depends on the game and settings, but I guess at the point where 6 GiB will really different, the card will be to weak anyway. But 6 is more than 4 and 4 GiB should be nice on a 7970.
HappyBeezerStudios - by Lord_Mogul with my card I've certainly seen games allocate more than 3 gigs, but games are known to allocate more than they need if it's available, so I wonder if I'm getting any performance benefit
Filipe Saramago, there is also a 6gb 780 edition, very rare. If you have found it, whatever 6gb card, it definitely worth the extra 15 bucks. Not as much as performance wise, but for the peace of mind. More ram is not going to bring more performance, but not enough ram is a real party pooper.
Those were Australian prices convertes to US$. Over here in europe new hardware is usually more expensive than in the US, but often still cheaper than in AUS.
just want to say thanks for all the info..you really have helped me make alot of decisions in my last two builds..appreciate all the work you put in 😀😀😀
I appreciate what you tried to do with this video, with the market being the way it is. But it just feels like we're going backwards, we are settling for 720p and low settings at 1080p on PC gaming. Damn man, these are not good times.
I completely understand how you feel. I was expecting the next generation of graphics cards to be able to run 4k at 60fps or higher. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening anytime soon .
I sold my 2 GTX 970s for only €85 each card after replacing them with 2 GTX 1080s back in October 2017 as I got a new 1440p G-Sync 165Hz monitor that needed more GPU power. Now I regret a bit :) GPU prices weren't that crazy like it is now. I got both of my 1080s at MSRP price, respectively €619 and €589. As soon as I put the 970s on listing, the very next day they were bought by the same person, lol. Now I suspect that guy to be a miner. I was selling lots of stuff at the same time and wanted them to go quickly, I should have checked the value of 970s at the time. I wont make the same mistake again when replacing the 1080s.
Great video! I've got a GTX 780 myself, running off an 850w psu. I haven't dared to even try overclocking, as the psu pumps out a lot of heat already when playing games, however, 1080p in most games is smooth, and when I consider that I got it as a freebie, I'm happy!
I had a gtx 770, and IF you want to buy one, here are some tips: 1. You better make sure you get/have a good power supply. The WindForce OC II model that I had will draw around 270w of power on itself 2. Try to find the 4gb models, because the card has a lot of power but in most cases it's limited by the 2gb of ram. 3.CHECK THE DANG PRODUCT NUMBER. I got scammed when I bought one, I thought it was a 4gb model, happened to be a 2gb one. overpaid 50 Euro :( 4. Make sure, For the love of your stress level, that the card actually fits in your case, because they come BIG.
+Alexander Yordanov good luck trying to find a 390 for under 200 bucks though. From what I can see even in the used market they're still pretty expensive
R9 390 is a beast, preforms as well/better at 1440p then the gtx 1060. Like I can play witcher 3 on a mix of high settings at 1440p (50-60 fps stable). What helps is tweaking the render quality manually so I don't get high textures far away where you can not even see the difference.
You're such a God. Just was looking for a video like your previous ones and here it is. Just fyi I have a feeling that each one of these videos pushes a bunch of people to buy these cards and thus the prices raise...
Unfortunately you cant really find these prices on ebay in the US anymore. Sellers have gotten wise to the gouging and are asking for absurd money for very old cards. $150+ for 580s, $200+ for 680s.. i should have bought a ton of those 780s that were going for $120 a few months back..
670s are still going for a good price. For now theyre in a little pocket of good prices and its a signifigant upgrade over the 750ti especially when overclocked.
Got 2 780s for 380 on eBay not long ago, which I thought it was good deal giving the current issue with gpu prices and everyone grabbing them while they can for best deals. Also love your channel Bryan and keep up the awesome vids, always looking forward to new vid you upload.
Still rocking my r9 290 tri with i5 2500k at 4.6. Will play most games at ultra 60 fps +. only crysis 3 it struggles to keep up. Scales well at 1440p aswell. Trouble is there selling for close to retail because of miners. My only viable gpu upgrade is the 980ti. 1070s and 1080s way too overpriced now
ugh i miss seeing these prices. living in Silicon Valley in California before the mining craze I was always able to find a decently priced card since there's a lot of people into tech always upgrading and such. it has become a huge fucking double edged sword since now everything gets either swooped up quickly or marked up like crazy. feelsbadman
Got mine in Colorado for $115 and found another which was a little nicer for $140 about a month later. They out there. Update: Getting a GTX 980 for $200 tomorrow to replace my $115 GTX 970 this time from a friend upgrading to a 1080. What to do with an extra 970...
U guys are lucky. 970 in lithuania are snatched up for 230~. As far as I can tell from listings in German ebay it's the same there too. I bought r9 280x a month ago for 100eu and it was a bargain. But finding a tier higher card like 290 is impossible
YESSSS! I was waiting for a video just like this from Bryan! The gtx 970 would be best. But here in the states they are going for $250 to $280. Absolutely ridiculous
A very good choice of used graphics cards and a thoughtful list that you brought here. Getting GTX 680 2 gig card also isn't a bad choice in a pinch until prices come down. (have one) Thank you Tech Yes City for the informative video.
i love these top 10 lists! gives you a different perspective and is very usefull for other deal hunters^^ i picked up an hd7970 lightning for 100€ shipped and it is a beast!
Well, here in Europe it's more expensive than in the USA but (at least here) most of the time cheaper than in Down Under. Sadly, new parts prices are still crazy af. So keep the used parts videos coming, they're great :)
thanks for the request, much appreciated, love the peon# sound lol. You really do put in alot of work to get these vids done. What about choices for new cards on a budget.
No one on Ebay nor Craigslist are selling these damn cards that cheap anymore, and the vast majority aren't willing to be haggled down due to them getting in on the price gouging as well. A 290(x)/390(x) for $150? LMFAO
Just don't buy stuff for these high prices and the prices will have to come down eventually if no one buys high. It is not like many people actually need high end graphics cards.
What specs are you using to test these cards. Cpu ram ssd hdd motherboard. Is the cpu overclocked? Thanks. Good video by the way. I currently have an i7 3770k oc'd to 4.2ghz 5ghz turbo with 32gb corsair ddr 3 1600mhz ram gigabyte z77x-up5th mobo gtx 670 gigabyte windforce 2gb ddr 5 256bit oc'd a bit as well. I get great fps in overwatch on ultra settings 80fps average. Fortnite on mixed settings epic view low shadows. High everything else 90fps avg. Gta v high to very high 70 fps avg. Doom 4 med-high 70 fps doom likes more vram Same with destiny 2. Med -high 70 fps avg Have you ever tested a gtx 670? Thanks for your time
I think it is a good benchmarker for gaming systems. I mean almost ANYTHING (Even my 3570k with onboard graphics) Can play Fortnite. PUBG is a step up from Fortnite, so a better example of relatively low requirements but still somewhat demanding. We can't all afford an RX 2080 and a high end CPU. Good luck to those of you who can, spoilt little brats :)
Looks like somebody needs to reseat the RAM on the motherboard or scramble to the BIOS setup and back da fuq up on the RAM frequency! (or too low of RAM latencies or need more VDIMM)
Awesome and informative video! A relevant question considering these GPUs would be paired with older and cheaper systems: How much of a performance bottleneck to expect when pairing something like GTX 780 Ti or a R9 290x with an older LGA 775 quad core PCIE 2.0 system? Better off with a GTX 770?
I suggest using something like a chopstick or pencil to stop the fan spinning whilst you spray it. Rare for me to watch a vid without skipping though it. I did here. Second time today I had said experience. Good day. Subbed
Kepler is junk, driver dependant and no longer optimized, low ram, super crippled mid range. Fermi aged better, but too dated now. 960 minimum, and anything GCN with 3+ram is good. 290 380 for example. DO NOT BUY A 780!!!! Big controversy where 960 started beating it in new games because Nvidia screwed driver performance and the chip itself is not fully dx11 compliant, just like Maxwell is not fully dx12. That means new dx11 games run like crap on Kepler compared to GCN or Maxwell. (depends on games using new dx11 effects)
Just picked up 2 750 Ti's. The FTW ($60 US) is in my son's first build desktop with a 3570K and 12gb of 1333 DDR3. Runs fantastic. So I picked up another one for me, same price, but SC running at 13mhz less. Also a MSI B250 PC Mate MOBO for $48 US. Going to get a 6600K/7600K or 6700K/7700K, what ever I can find a deal on (around $150). And run 16gb DDR4 2400 to keep the cost down. Expect to do anything I need to do no problems. Love building PC's with used parts. Happy Hunting.
OMG, you are so funny in the bloopers! You remind me of Jonathan Pie. Love you work, thanks for putting up with the heat. I have two R9 380 4gb Nitro O.C. 1010/1450 I was wondering where they would fit in your testing? Could you do a video on how these older cards hold up to the "budget" cards of 2018 like the RX 550, GTX 1030?
Hrmmm, gave my sister an Evga Gtx 660 ti sc+ 3gb card (reference cooler model) for the computer I built her. Maybe I should get her a cheapy card for her Farmville and use the 660ti for a secondary build. Job's done, love that old school Warcraft reference. great video Bryan.
Hi Bryan, at first i like your content and i'm your big fan. I have a question for you. Which one will you buy if you can have it for the same price? GTX 970 or GTX 780Ti? Or which is better in your opinion? (both cost approx. 130-140 Eur - is something about 145-155 $ in my country) Thx...
It's videos like this that remind me I do have the opportunity to pick up some good deals. I found and I now currently use a GTX 660 for $30 yes. It runs my main ryzen rig. I also have a spare GTX 750 for any build that I want to do. Constantly looking out for GPUs. The pricing is so terrible now. Great videos thanks for the awesome references.
Hey Bryan, great channel. Have you come across or used any of the Chinese "no brand" video cards? I've seen lots of "GTX 960's" on ebay for good prices, but with conflicting reviews. Some of the reviews/reports say Scam while others say they are 960's but with cheap components and cooling.
I've built a budget gaming pc with the G4560, 8 gb ddr4, asrock b250 pro4, 250 gb ssd, 1 tb hdd, evga 600w psu, fractal design focus g and i need to choose a gpu. I'm afraid the 780ti won't last long because of its 3 vram so i've got to choose between the r9 290x and the gtx 970. Which one should i get if they cost the same price ? There's no need to get more powerful gpus since my cpu will bottleneck them right ? Thank you and great video !
Thanks for all the suggestion. Where I'm from; Malaysia. These cards are selling at a very high price. AMD ones are selling @ RM 1000 - 1500 a piece. For comparison, MSI Gaming X 1060 6g MSRP was at RM 1400. There are no good use card where I live. I'm even using the Asus GT 630 (was in the beginning of your video) playing everything on 720p and resolution scale 50%. In all honesty, phone manufacturers and miners have really changed how the gaming world is. Barely anyone can afford to build any descent gaming system nowadays, some even jump the boat abandoning CPU gaming totally and went with either console of mobile gaming. Laptop gamers are very rare, and the price alone would set most users to just avoid getting a laptop. 2018 is a bad year for any PC gamers, be it beginners or intermediate.
My haul over the long weekend (monday was a holiday) in Germany: GPU: GTX 960 2GB Asus ROG Strix -> 50€ (working) GTX 760 2GB Gainward Phantom -> 20€ (not tested yet) GTX 780 3GB Gainward Phantom -> 60€ (not tested yet) GT1030 DDR5 (unknown, likely OEM) -> 30€ incl. shipping (waiting for delivery) GT1030 DDR4 (Galax / KFA2) -> 15€ incl. shipping (waiting for delivery) HDD: 10x 40GB 2,5" SATA HDD -> 40€ incl. shipping (currently testing) 1x 80gb + 1x 120gb 2,5" HDD -> 12€ incl. shipping (currently testing) 1x External 500GB and 1x External 400GB -> 16,99€ but seller agreed to give back 5€ since the 400GB has a broken HDD. Both 3,5" with power supply (for use on Router or modded PS3, they don't like 2,5" externals drawing power off their USB) PCs: 2x Dell T5400 Workstations, one with a x5460 installed, other one has a weaker CPU... 120 or so GB HDDs each and 4/8GB Ram -> 40€ each. 1x Dell Optiplex GX780 Q6600, 3GB Ram, 120GB or so HDD ... 10€ (got it with the 2 T5400... didn't really want it but maybe I can make a few bucks off it) If someone wonders about the many 2,5" HDD: I got a lot of PS3s with broken disk drives for free a while back and want to mod them to play from external HDD (legal if you own the Games), and I also have a couple old Laptops with "bigger then necessary" HDDs. But now I really gotta hurry up and sell some stuff... xD
I got lucky and got a gtx970 for 190€. That was during that drop in crypto prices in January. Here it europe prices are pretty bonkers currently. I found it's best to watch the market and hope for the best.

Thanks, very timely video! looking for used GPU as well and someone is selling a gtx 980 reference card for 185 USD. Never overclocked. Original user swapped the 980 in their system for 1080s (FE) when those were released. Wondering if good price. Based on suggeted price for 970 in this video, it would seem 185 might be reasonable for 980? Would appreciate any thoughts/feedback. Thanks.
yep..this Ausy guy is on the ball...I have a GTX 780 Ti and it's a really solid card, the thing is, when you get up in resolution there's less and less need for anti aliasing and similar smoothing out techniques, so you can dial back the settings or turn it off altogether, and that not only free's up memory for higher quality textures but also reduces the computational load on the GPU, effectively meaning that the 780 Ti can handle 1440p resolution quite well, I have splashed out and got the Acer Predator high refresh rater monitor for 1440p gaming and Doom runs just great on this combination, even with an ancient Q9550 CPU....
GT 210 at 144p gaming. Highly recommended.

Was watching a 780ti phantom on eBay the other day but people are willing to spend silly amounts of money for some reason :( Gratz!
Agreed, at the moment everything is super overpriced ive seen a 7970 sell for 200 dollars recently on ebay..... Ive picked a few up local for >$80

For a second hand, no...You can get a RX 580 4GB for like 185$ brand new, warranty and all.
If I ever had to buy a second hand I would go for half the price or less unless it has low use and warranty still in place.
But then I don't know where do you live, in my country prices are crazy, I couldn't even get a second hand RX 580 for 185U$$ :P
rx 580 here is 300$ - 400$
@@vinnce9288 😲 where do you live? In America it's $170 usd for brand new
I've been waiting for a video like this. Thanks Bryan
here is my pc
installed components:
core i5 2400 quad-core clocked to 3.70 GHZ
8 GB ram ddr3
1 TB hard drive
250 GB SSD
gtx 1050ti
other:
mastercooler case
water cooled full loop
radiator and lastly a 144 HZ monitor
Here is mine
R5 2600x
Asus Strix b350-f
MSI Duke Geforce RTX 2070
16gb 3000mhz ddr4
1--120gb ssd
1--240gb ssd
1--3tb HDD
1--256gb m.2 nvme ssd
Corsair 750w 80+ bronze
All in a Thermaltake View 27 Snow Edition with DeepCool RGB fans
Got all that plus all the peripherals I could need all brand new for $895. Also got a curved 1080p 144hz MSI monitor for $160. I was going to attempt an all-budget build, but a 1070 build would've only been $150 cheaper, a 1060 $100 cheaper than that, and for an rx590 or something idk. But I'm perfectly happy with my specs.
@@TheGauges420 Lmao LIES
Forgot about the 7970 6Gb. How much would you pay for the double vram?
Oh damn I haven't seen one of them listed yet, and I have been looking for a very long time... must be rare as?
The outtakes at the end are a good touch
But what about some countries where 2nd hand market isn't that good ...
SR V ebay or aliexpress?
Rohit Datar what about customs?
SR V Ask the seller to lower the declared value under 20€ and it should go thru
Especially in France xD Some people are trying to sell u a 750 Ti for 90 €
Yea in the netherlands people ask 350,- for a r9 390x :(
Thanks for making these videos man. Exactly what I'm looking for on a budget!
I wish I could find these cards at the listed prices, usually it's about 2 to 3 times what RUclipsrs list them at.
Cerio Unknown patience
noh brah no way the best price ever is still al least 2x more and that is might be suuper lucky in my part of the world soo sad
I will see what I can do in the upcoming days.
Tech YES City OK,Nice to see that you atleast help our problems, other youtubers dont do this
Those were Australian prices convertes to US$.
Over here in europe new hardware is usually more expensive than in the US, but often still cheaper than in AUS.
just want to say thanks for all the info..you really have helped me make alot of decisions in my last two builds..appreciate all the work you put in 😀😀😀
2:02 i remember that, a peasant voice in warcraft 3
Heartstone..
Me too. But it was warcraft 1 or 2! You must be an old fart like me lol
Just picked up a Msi Gtx 770 for $60. Thanks so much for all of these awesome videos as they help people like me gauge what to pay.
Unfortunately, I don't see that happening anytime soon .
yeah but consider the prices of these old parts... anyone with money can just go and order a GTX 1080 or 1080ti
I had a gtx 770, and IF you want to buy one, here are some tips:
1. You better make sure you get/have a good power supply. The WindForce OC II model that I had will draw around 270w of power on itself
2. Try to find the 4gb models, because the card has a lot of power but in most cases it's limited by the 2gb of ram.
3.CHECK THE DANG PRODUCT NUMBER. I got scammed when I bought one, I thought it was a 4gb model, happened to be a 2gb one. overpaid 50 Euro :(
4. Make sure, For the love of your stress level, that the card actually fits in your case, because they come BIG.
I come big too but only for you.
Great vid, Brian ! I will surely use this as reference for buying GPUs in 2018. Thanks
Id get R9 390 over GTX 970. 8gb of VRAM and better Vulkan/DX12 cant be argued with.
+Alexander Yordanov good luck trying to find a 390 for under 200 bucks though. From what I can see even in the used market they're still pretty expensive
True.
R9 390 is a beast, preforms as well/better at 1440p then the gtx 1060. Like I can play witcher 3 on a mix of high settings at 1440p (50-60 fps stable).
What helps is tweaking the render quality manually so I don't get high textures far away where you can not even see the difference.
sadly the ones with larger frame buffers like that are more popular with miners too
r9 390 are going for stupid prices because of mining
You're such a God. Just was looking for a video like your previous ones and here it is. Just fyi I have a feeling that each one of these videos pushes a bunch of people to buy these cards and thus the prices raise...
Unfortunately you cant really find these prices on ebay in the US anymore. Sellers have gotten wise to the gouging and are asking for absurd money for very old cards. $150+ for 580s, $200+ for 680s.. i should have bought a ton of those 780s that were going for $120 a few months back..
i missed out on it all to. Least the stuff i am selling actually good price range as it an ancient antic collector item
I picked up a GTX 670 for $66...
My sister pick up a gtx 780 for $20 on craiglist.
1070s and 1080s way too overpriced now
A thing to consider for the older generation cards is future game support, in regards to DirectX and Vulkan etc.
ugh i miss seeing these prices. living in Silicon Valley in California before the mining craze I was always able to find a decently priced card since there's a lot of people into tech always upgrading and such. it has become a huge fucking double edged sword since now everything gets either swooped up quickly or marked up like crazy. feelsbadman
Great video, and I agree with your listings, the 780Ti is such a beast, even still to this day.
970 for 150? bullcrap, they're selling like hotcakes +200eu
Aidas Drejeris nop, in france, they are between 120-160€
Got mine in Colorado for $115 and found another which was a little nicer for $140 about a month later.
Aidas Drejeris yeah here in New Jersey they go from 200-280
A lot can happen in a month
YESSSS! I was waiting for a video just like this from Bryan!
The gtx 970 would be best. But here in the states they are going for $250 to $280. Absolutely ridiculous
@Tech YES City, dude those prices are really optimistic.
A very good choice of used graphics cards and a thoughtful list that you brought here. Getting GTX 680 2 gig card also isn't a bad choice in a pinch until prices come down. (have one) Thank you Tech Yes City for the informative video.
I wish I could pay the prices you were talking about, everywhere is at least 50% more expensive in the US
ikr
i love these top 10 lists! gives you a different perspective and is very usefull for other deal hunters^^
i picked up an hd7970 lightning for 100€ shipped and it is a beast!
I'd stay clear of any R9 200s as they were heavily used in the first mining boom, same for the 400s and 500s in a couple of years
Matt Hill yes totally true I was missing a phase on my vram when I got it for 200 including shipping
Well, here in Europe it's more expensive than in the USA but (at least here) most of the time cheaper than in Down Under. Sadly, new parts prices are still crazy af. So keep the used parts videos coming, they're great :)
Gtx 680 for 40Aud worth it?
Sounds good. basically a 770 with lower clock. or either the other way around: The 770 was a 680 with a little tweaking and OC.
good deal.
Hell yeah
thanks for the request, much appreciated, love the peon# sound lol.
Love your channel. Good info for those in budgets.
2019/20 version please
Doom 4 med-high 70 fps doom likes more vram
Same with destiny 2. Med -high 70 fps avg
Have you ever tested a gtx 670?
Thanks for your time
PUBG is such a bad game to use as a reference for hardware performance. Optimization is so out of whack that it's hardly representative of anything.
Fantastic content Bry!
I thought I bluescreened halfway into the video!
Looks like somebody needs to reseat the RAM on the motherboard or scramble to the BIOS setup and back da fuq up on the RAM frequency! (or too low of RAM latencies or need more VDIMM)
Awesome and informative video! A relevant question considering these GPUs would be paired with older and cheaper systems:
How much of a performance bottleneck to expect when pairing something like GTX 780 Ti or a R9 290x with an older LGA 775 quad core PCIE 2.0 system? Better off with a GTX 770?
The transition music tho
Just buy an 2400g or 2200g
Or a 200GE for $55 and you can now OC it with an MSI mobo. As of today that is... ruclips.net/video/C4pjEHw4xx4/видео.html
1050Ti 1050 and 1030
1050Ti is around 200+ in my country, same with 1050, and the 1030 is simply just weak
Late last year I picked up a used Gigabyte 660 Ti OC in very good condition for $56 CDN to replace my old 250 OC. Huge difference.
Your prices are way off from china second hand market and international ebay which makes the video pointless.
yeah but they're getting views.
I would probably go for a 970, 780 ti does juice a lot of power, and so I think the 970 would last you a bit longer.
@@techyescity Thx man. I will probably buy one ;-)
So glad u made this video I'm still rocking a hd7870 GHz edition card
I love these reviews.........great for those of us on tight budgets!
Love this "new" Intro,it adds some "spice" to the video
gtx 660 oem, it overclocks like a boss on the stock cooler:-) Great video Brian!
Interesting video concept. I like it, and hope to see more videos like this.
great video! i have the 970 and an R9 290X both are excellent cards got my 290X on an EK waterblock
Was able to buy an Asus Phoenix 4GB 1050 Ti from a buddy of mine the other day for $60. Very pleased with the deal.
The bloopers at the end were wonderful. haha!
Great video Bryan! Love that tee shirt! I got a GTX 960 for $70 USD! Great card if you can get it at the right price!
Great video mate ^^ gonna find me a 290/390 next month hopefully... keep up the good work :))
I'm very glad to see I'm not the only person who clicked on the video and likes it right away and then starts watching the video
My haul over the long weekend (monday was a holiday) in Germany:
GPU:
GTX 960 2GB Asus ROG Strix -> 50€ (working)
GTX 760 2GB Gainward Phantom -> 20€ (not tested yet)
GTX 780 3GB Gainward Phantom -> 60€ (not tested yet)
GT1030 DDR5 (unknown, likely OEM) -> 30€ incl. shipping (waiting for delivery)
GT1030 DDR4 (Galax / KFA2) -> 15€ incl. shipping (waiting for delivery)
HDD:
10x 40GB 2,5" SATA HDD -> 40€ incl. shipping (currently testing)
1x 80gb + 1x 120gb 2,5" HDD -> 12€ incl. shipping (currently testing)
1x External 500GB and 1x External 400GB -> 16,99€ but seller agreed to give back 5€ since the 400GB has a broken HDD. Both 3,5" with power supply (for use on Router or modded PS3, they don't like 2,5" externals drawing power off their USB)
PCs:
2x Dell T5400 Workstations, one with a x5460 installed, other one has a weaker CPU... 120 or so GB HDDs each and 4/8GB Ram -> 40€ each.
1x Dell Optiplex GX780 Q6600, 3GB Ram, 120GB or so HDD ... 10€ (got it with the 2 T5400... didn't really want it but maybe I can make a few bucks off it)
If someone wonders about the many 2,5" HDD: I got a lot of PS3s with broken disk drives for free a while back and want to mod them to play from external HDD (legal if you own the Games), and I also have a couple old Laptops with "bigger then necessary" HDDs.
But now I really gotta hurry up and sell some stuff... xD
Picked up a 970 for 150 awhile back. Feels good to know I'm on par with the yes man
Loved this video, will upgrade my gtx 950 to one of these
Quality video Bryan; what’s your opinion on a 660 for 32 USD
I'm kind of surprised the 680 didn't make the list. That was a beast of a card.
Nice one mate! This video is long overdue.
the use of hardstyle at 1:11 makes me very happy as a dutchie :D
These prices seem low, but thanks for the recommended list. I took notes so will have it as a reference when shopping.
Saving this video, thank you very much for making it
I got lucky and got a gtx970 for 190€. That was during that drop in crypto prices in January. Here it europe prices are pretty bonkers currently. I found it's best to watch the market and hope for the best.
I found a gigabyte gtx 780 windforce oc 3gb for 50€ and went ahead and bought it!
I was first a bit scared of the condition but worked perfectly
Gave it to my lil bro when i got gtx 1080 ti
Damn good your a good brother when my older brother bought a new gpu he offered his 1050ti for 100€
:D
Pick a gpu from this list and something like Xeon X3440 with H55 mobo and you're set! Bryan you've done so awesome lists of good used components that I almost wanna build me another PC :D
