  • This elevator didn't seem to be working, but the light next to the fire service keyswitch is on. There's a chance this elevator is in fire service phase 2, and parked on an upper floor, but I'm not sure. If the elevator was in phase 1, and operating correctly, it would have been sitting on the floor I was on with the doors open. I think the upper floors are closed off, so it's possible the elevator would be turned off/disabled, but fire service phase 2 would be a very unusual way of disabling an elevator. I don't actually know for sure if the elevator is in fire service or not though.

This elevator likely went into alternate recall. This happens when a fire alarm initiating device is triggered on the recall floor. If the fire key switch is turned on after alternate recall, it will recall to the main floor instead.
