Such a good, fun, easy to follow video - definitely back to basics, but still with that fabulous Tina flair! Thanks so much, excited for the rest of the series!
I do have a couple of children's books to use and I love the idea of glueing the book pages together to make those pockets and I have lots of old books to use up too. Thanks for this basics series. I'm going to love it.
Hi Tina, hope you had a lovely day with your family yesterday. Great video, love what you did to the altered book. Haven’t made one so I might be brave and try one. 🎄Xx
I really appreciate this video on doing things simply instead of all the folding, fussing and intricate measuring. It sure makes crafting more fun and relaxing!
Really nice idea when we seem to hit a creative block. Sometimes I just take my scraps and make collaged pages in an altered book. Great pages Tina. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.😍
Merry Christmas Tina!! ❤ I agree that sometimes we do over complicate at times. It makes me halt on some projects as I over think. I have to learn to just keep it simple sometimes. Keep doing what your doing. I so love watching your videos.. I've been binging a lot of your old videos. ❤❤❤❤
Love this back to basics series. I’ve just made my first journal so this will be very helpful in getting ideas for my next one. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and inspiration xxx
Hi Tina. Can you believe that there's only a week left in 2024. Where did the year go ?? Thank you for your back to the basics video. I haven't made an altered book yet, but I have a couple of books to use.
good morning dear Tina.........yes.......back to the basics...............thats sounds so good.........have wonderful days......Blessings and Greetings from Daggy,Kiel,Germany☘☘☘xx
Good video, thanks. I would like to give you a helpful hint. Faces should always be facing center, not the edge of a page. I learned this in a college course titled "Design and Layout."
Hi, can’t resist responding to your comment. The joy of junk journalling in part is that there are no rules. We are all different, and it is lovely not to constrained by whether something is ‘ right or wrong’.
I agree with you Pauline,in junk journaling, there are "no" rules. I was an art major in college, so I understand why the comment was made, but no application in the case of junk journaling. 😮s@@paulinewhite3273
Any page where you love both sides, all you have to do is colour copy the second side! I regularly do this, then you don’t have to choose. If I particularly like a page, I might make two copies. You are still way under copyright percentages and if you are not selling the journals it shouldn’t be an issue.
Love the colors and use of childs book. And not making it too busy. I can picture a young girl using this journal

Your style is completely different to mine and so it always impresses me how much I learn from how you do things. Thank you so much!

I already love this series, thanks shabbydabbydoodah. Queen of the crafting series.
Oh my ... I love this series already.

Very pretty! ❤
Simple works for me! I sometimes xerox the pages of double-sided pages to use. The stone in your ring picked up the blue in your first page lay-out! 😂

Tina, this is really cute and simple. This is inspiring me to to do a book like yours. I'm so glad to see this. Thank you so much

Yes, I love simplicity. Sometimes less is more.
TFS, Tina.
Thank you Tina for such a great video and idea too! I do like both kinds; crazy busy and the super simples also! Must be a mood thing!?!? 😂😂😂

Pastels are so pretty. You are so good at curating.
It's good to have refreshers I tend to forget certain things.
Happy Christmas to you and your family 🎄This journal is so lovely, and you’re doing a great job with the ribbon ruffles 🥰

@@paulinewhite3273 Agreed, Pauline! The word “should” has, happily, no real place in junk journal world - it’s all up to the designer!
