Just got moved to E102 bit leary..it's 1st forward same side as yours. We were midship but reg balcony ,no sofa.. No storms in carribbean in March so no big swells.. have 36 hrs to decide..🤔
We’ve stayed in cabin,I think it was F104 on Britannia too and from that experience we learned that if you’re at a tender port the anchor dropping is quite loud, would imagine it would be the same for E108 & E102 on sky. We didn’t find it too bad with swell and as you’ve said if it’s normally calm in the Caribbean in March when you go it should be fine.
Glad I watched this. Was debating not booking the category for the obstruction but the same room is open and it’s a non issue with the metal walls to me
This was on sky, we’re on Anthem tomorrow lol 😂but totally understand this cabin wouldn’t be for all, it was great for space and value for money, but motion and thruster noise, not so much, it really didn’t bother us but some people would hate it. ❤️
Not too bad, I mean it’s a sliding door but sometimes it was a bit stiffer to open but I don’t know if that was purely down to the wind. With the big partitions on either side it was quite sheltered, if you went right out to the railings it could be quite blowy then but for the most part it was alright
Just curious, how can a cabin be considered Deluxe if it’s got an obstructed view? LOL.. gotta love how these Cabins are labeled.. (granted I’d still consider that balcony unobstructed personally :-)) Great tour, Balcony reminds me of our Aft Balcony on Emerald Princess some 12 years ago.. lol.. You remind me of my husband and I at your age 😮 were still going strong 35 years later.. bumps and all along the way ..
Think it’s based on size location and features, so this one would have been classed as deluxe because we had a sofa and larger vanity desk area whereas a standard balcony only has a little chair and basically a fridge in the corner. Hope this makes sense 🙄🙈😂
Yah I get it.. but still adding that word Deluxe kinda means you get it all.. saying Deluxe Obstructed is counter intuitive. Perhaps just call it Small, Medium or Large Obstructed cabin.. I know there are many sized obstructed cabins.. but classify them all as Obstructed (keep the pricing the same).. it’s one of those damned if you do and damned when you don’t kinda things. We booked a Deluxe Obstructed view cabin once, but when talking to friends we simply said an Obstructed view cabin.. I could not in good faith call it Deluxe and then say it was obstructed.. which is it.. it’s obstructed :-) (turned out similar to your Cabin (there was a support beam just on the edge of the Balcony, we barely noticed it).
Oh, I LOVE this room, but I disagree that it should be classed as 'obstructed' - they should 100% be charging this as a regular balcony, in my mind! Only thing I'm not sure about is the other balconies looking down - did that annoy you at all?

On MSC, U.K. bookings have the daily service charge included. On princess this is included if you go for the princess plus package, otherwise there is a daily service charge added. This can normally be increased, decreased or removed via reception.

Not much at all on our cruise, you might catch it a little but the metal does block lots of it out.
They should make something to shower curtains. I hate to struggle with those 🤣
