The founder, the main character's dad, was a Vietnam veteran anarchist I think, they explain his philosophy somewhat in a voice over narration of his manifesto that he left the son, i haven't see it since it aired so maybe that isn't totally accurate, I stopped watching when any promise of it maybe being a decent show was gone.The central conflict was the son wanting the club to move away from organized crime and follow the father's ideals, but his mom who is the mom from married with children and her new husband hellboy don't want to, it turns out they had the dad taken out or some crap
I watched 2 seasons. It was o.k. like poor mans Sopranos. I seen clips yrs later.. it actually got very dark. They went full retard with the killing in later yrs.

Yeah that show was total garbage. Once you realise it was based on Hamlet you knew exactly how it would end. The Shield was a far better show.
