Nice video, thank you. This was definitely a bit daunting at first. Very helpful!
Thank for this video I just got the 1662 (BCP) it was a bit overwhelming. You cleared up a lot of my questions,
Thank you both so much. God bless you both 🙏 ✝️
Thanks for this video. (fellow Sydney Anglican here). This cleared up a my confusion trying to understand how to use my BCP for daily prayers.
@@woshjales baaased mate, I hope we can meet up some time
I've been on a journey for close to 2 years and what a journey. God bless
I've seen other instructions where it says to replace the first (and second on some days) readings at morning and evening prayer on Sunday and Holy Days. Also, the holy days that are a fixed calendar date have the readings listed in the propers and not in the regular civic calendar lectionary. Thoughts? I used this in 2020 and greatly enjoyed it, to the point that I am thinking about using the original 1662 readings (once through the OT, and thrice through the NT) next year.
I just got me the 2024 ORDO for the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter it was for a little over $ 5.00 ; it is published by a Roman Catholic group of Anglicans and it has the Lectionary Readings for Church for the Divine Service as well as the Psalm listings and Spritual Readings for Morning Song and Evening Song for every day of the year 2024. It makes things a bit simpler.
Do you have awebsite or PDF version of this with instructions?
I was just wondering what edition of the 1662 prayer book Fr James is using here? Some of the rubrics are different in my copy.
he's using the same edition as mine (visible in the thumbnail), by Cambridge. OG language and not the International Edition.
Got it. Thank you!
