      Majority of the big hits in this video were players leading with the shoulder, even had they been going to wrap up they likely still would have been flagged because many of these instances involve the offensive player lowering down, putting their helmet in the way of contact when it wasn't beforehand.

      Because those people care more about the violence than the skill lmao, they don’t realize every football player and parent is knowledgable on brain trauma and CTE risk. american ignorance is why people think the safety rules are “soft”

    It looks like actual tackles, where you wrap a man up, is becoming more and more rare. The Chiefs defender did a great job at tacking.
    Today it seems 95% of the tackles are throwing a shoulder into them, which is also why we see so many YAC, because several receivers just bounce off the defender.

    i dont watch a lot of football can someone explain the helmet rules to me? i get that its on the defender to avoid using their helmet and to avoid hitting the head. it seems like the ball carriers move their head in the way a lot when the defender isnt aiming for it giving them no time to react and making themselves more vulnerable

    • @Jsmoove8k

    That hit by Tony Adams on Ceedee Lamb could have left him paralyzed but the NFL leaves defenders no choice but to go low because everything else is a penalty now. The NFL should have just told everyone the truth instead of implementing all these rules that there is know way you can play this game safely

    Props to Josh Allen for popping right up after that hit and not even giving the dude who hit him the time of day. That also shouldn't have been flagged, the defender obviously let up and basically made himself a wall that Allen ran into.

    • @toddinthemiddle
      @toddinthemiddle Год назад +1

      agree 100%. the defender was essentially absorbing the contact. not his fault that allen didn't go down on the tackle.

    • @matthewdigiacomo2580

      @@toddinthemiddle Allen's knee was already down. The defender, at the point, should have gotten out of the play. Instead he lowered his shoulder right into Allen's helmet. Letting up or not, if you make contact with the head you are going to get called every time. That is the sad state of the NFL these days. I don't mind protecting the players, but it seems the onus is ALWAYS on the defense. I have seen many plays where the penalty was on the defender but helmet-to-helmet contact was obviously initiated by the offensive player lowering his head into the defender.
