As a rookie it is hard to see any flaws in his game, he does so much so well. He tackles in space, he keeps his footing, and rarely gets run over by a ball carrier. It will be great to see him next year!!
He is part of an amazing rookie class, Brian Branch, Jack Campbell, Jahmyr Gibbs and Sam LaPorta. I can't wait until the 2024 draft here in Detroit! He is already one of our best DB's and has the capacity to improve even more. #OnePride
To the 31 other teams in the NFL that passed on Brian Branch, we fans from the Lions thank you sincerely for giving us a great player with a chip on his shoulder.
He made so many incredible plays for the Lions in his rookie season but 7:54 is so impressive. He times it so perfectly without looking back. Lions 2023 draft will go down in history as one of the best in the league. The fab four: Gibbs, Campbell, Laporta and Branch all taken in succesion were huge contributors.
J throwin in a newer comment to say Branch is amazing, precision focus, and handled himself so well with the bullsh!+ calls this year. Favorite player!
Smart, playmaker you can tell he puts the film work in and physical work.. One of my favorite lions, great pick. Can't wait to see the process this season. Go Lions!!
He really excells in those lateral tracking plays. Look at how steady he is aligned with the player he's tracking. Branch was the best tackler in his draft class.
He’s been nasty since day 1 at Bama and is a monster when blitzing from outside. He and Terrion Arnold will be nasty for years to come and I’m glad that they’ll continue to be winners in Detroit.
Defo top 3 lions he’s soo underrated. Week 18 Vikings game last week he didn’t get credit for that red zone pass x2 to Jefferson defense. He had his hands all in Darnolds face.
the crazy part is with way more consistent pressure from the line, and more consistent coverage by his secondary teammates, Qb's are going to have to take more gambles and he always seems to be in position. The thing that amazed me with this highlight is how many clean pocket throws he was able to break up. More opportunities to make those game changing turnover plays, or else the QB just takes the sack.
Couldn't believe he was available when they selected him. Awesome player. Im hopeful Cooper Dejean will be our first round selection in this year's draft. Would compliment Branch tremendously ⚡
Compare sauce Gardners 2022/23 Defensive Rookie of the Year performance stats to Brian Branch in 2023/24. Branch's numbers are better across the board. Yet Branch wasn't even in the top 5 nominees this year. What a joke. BRANCH IS A STAR. How many rookies have a 10 minute highlight video?
I cant remember the last time a rookie came in and put league on notice and made teams play around him cause your wideout can be a sacrifice any time you throw his way
He's gonna take an even bigger step forward second season.. This is why I would get aggressive if I was Brad and as long as Marvin Harrison isn't taken with the first overall pick then I would give up multiple first round picks this year (the 29th pick value is at 640 points) with others to get to the value of the 3rd overall pick which is 2,200 value to draft the only thing that OC Ben Johnson is missing which is a 6"4 Marvin Harrison speed demon that wins 50/50 jump balls 9 of out 10 times.. Ben Johnson came back to win the SuperBowl, so why not reward him with his missing piece to push this offense past the Rams greatest show on turf 1999 SuperBowl team.. it's likely we can get a player like a DE Khalil Mack or Danielle Hunter or DT Chris Jones, Christian Wilkins and draft a CB like Mike Sainristil to take over at Nickle for we can move Branch to Safety to replace Gardner-Johnson.. This is all a fairy tale comment, but if it did happen, there's no way this Lions offense could be slowed down.. Let a lone contain them.. WR St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Marvin Harrison Jr., and TE Sam LaPorta, and the 2 headed monsters at RB's Gibbs, and Montgomery.. .
Matthew 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
There's a reason why he's switching from Nickel to Safety this season, so he can stay on the field.. look what happened against the 49ers, he was on the field 41% as a nickel corner..
Incredible rookie season. He’s already one of the most versatile DBs in the game.
he’s a safety
@@doctorcrew2388yea that’s what he said
@@doctorcrew2388 hes a slot corner, he played most of his snaps at slot corner

At least 3-4 games I sat back saying "Branch is everywhere today," So fucking impressive.
Brad holmes the goat picking guys like this
100% that home Bears game especially was nuts. He was everywhere
The punisher dont run cross dat middle he comin beastmode😂😂
Brian Branch had an incredible rookie season with 74 total tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and 3 interceptions this season at the safety position.
Droy for us
Defensive Player of the Year Award
He didn’t play safety

Should have been Def Rookie of the year
To the 31 other teams in the NFL that passed on Brian Branch, we fans from the Lions thank you sincerely for giving us a great player with a chip on his shoulder.
Obviously incredible, but is everyone realizing how insanely difficult it is for a rookie to start at the nickel?
Yea but he has a ton of experience from Alabama. Especially starting as a freshman. Very impressive

Good corners watch the eyes and hands when they are out of postiton!
To have 10 minutes of highlights as a rookie is a feat all in it's self😂. Great video
He missed some games due to injury to he might be Detroit best defender
Bro had a field day against Atlanta.
That Atlanta game was something else. Love me some Brian Branch highlights
Branch hits you and you go down! Both him and Campbell are amazing tacklers!
Minkah 2.0 I said it on draft night!! This team is so loaded 💙
Wow! He is the personification of GRIT! Such a good player!!
He dominated that Atlanta game
HOFer mark my words dude is the equivalent of a stud inside backer yet he's All everything Safety....Unicorn 🦄
He’s all pro next year
Branch can ball and brings the wood a great player indeed.

It’s insane that was his rookie year wait until next dude gonna be a top ten corner in the league
Ravens fan here. Adding Arnold and Rakestraw to this db room is so great! I’ll be really exited about this secondary as a Lions fan.
He really excells in those lateral tracking plays. Look at how steady he is aligned with the player he's tracking. Branch was the best tackler in his draft class.
I’m so glad we’re going to be focusing on defense this year. Getting veteran guys that can help him reach his full potential
i love the mouth piece on his helmet
Makes it so easy to find him when the play starts watching highlights 🤣
One-handed interception versus Saints was fantastic! What a Boss the Lions picked up in this man!!!
What a fucking dawg!!! Future gold jacket.
He has so much potential
He’s been nasty since day 1 at Bama and is a monster when blitzing from outside. He and Terrion Arnold will be nasty for years to come and I’m glad that they’ll continue to be winners in Detroit.
Arnold needs to develop some more hopefully he gets it together.
Future Lions Hall of FameBB#32💪🫡
his year 2 leap gone be scary
Shout-out to the packers doing the trade back when their biggest need was a db. Forever grateful
Damn good rookie season.
Great draft! Great young players!

One of THE best defensive players in the LEAGUE out of the gate.
this guy is a HUGE reason as to why we have a top run defense!
He’s the Lions version of Kyle Hamilton and he’s pretty damn good at it too respect to the kid
tyrann mathieu better comparison
Didn’t even get a shot for droy cause of his injuries but to me it was between him and Ivan pace jr and Jalen Carter
Oh Tom Grossi
Ronnie lott reincarnated. Such a sure tackler. Just a dawg of dawgs

Branch wasn’t asked to cover #1 receivers. Even though he probably should have been over Sutton

Best saftey we’ve had since Glover Quin.

How he didn't win rookie of the year beats me
Straight baller
My commanders missed on Christian Gonzales and Brian Branch for Emmanuel Forbes and Quan Martin😅

If Branch can confirm he’s not going to change his number I’m grabbing the jersey
Buckshot Branch cause his skillset is so widespread and his hits will sit ya down 💯
We got Terrion Arnold so we gone win em games ❤

In hindsight I can’t be mad we didn’t get him since we just drafted Mitchel & desean but man I still can’t belive we took Nolan over him

How about I just appreciate how good this draft was just the way it was?
Brian Branch The Disruptor
4:41 he break 3 blocks to make the tackle on a 3rd & 2. You cant make a better play then this. This is ridiculous
Am I wrong saying Branch was their best player on defense all year?
hutch is slightly better because what he did at the end of the year but its 1A 1b
