I got treated in this hospital when I was 9, I had pneumonia and septicemia. They were great, they saved my life.
Whats septicemia??
YourFwendCat YT sepsis it’s an infection of blood usually brought on by another infection like a chest or ear infection,I went septic this January due to a rare condition where my immune system attacks my blood which caused sepsis
What pneumonia?
@@eeee-fg7hz Pneumonia is an infection in one or both lungs. It can be caused by bacteria, viruses, or fungi.
Sweet 'N Sour that’s amazing. You’re super lucky and I like that
When the girl was taking the neurology test to see if she had epilepsy her mom was speaking polish, polish is my first language and it made me happy to hear it. ❤️
Thank you for letting me know I was wondering what she was speaking
@@meaganmoore7094 your welcome
It’s always so cool to hear your mother language. Mine is swedish. I rarely hear it outside of my fam. Polish is a really cool language. It sounds so smooth & polished!
I had craniosynostosis when I was a Child and had the surgery when I was 6 years old. I had to stay in the hospital for 3 weeks and go back (first monthly, then yearly) until I was 18.
My surgeons were amazing!
that is very late to have the operation. I am surprised they didn't find this earlier. Your brain has to grow..
@@treelore5100 I don’t know how it is handled where you’re from, but here you’re in constant check up until you need the surgery. I was a tiny child and the craniosynostosis progressed slowly so they waited.
@@windflower5226 I had mine at about 1 year of age - I looked to be about the same age as this boy - not sure they said his age. I know I was a wobbly looking baby from photos just beginning to attempt walking while holding onto things. This is way back in time and in Canada. We were lucky to be in Toronto and be able to have the operation at Toronto general hospital. She said it was a very rare surgery at the time and had I been in the UK I might have been out of luck 1965. They used a different method also they cut from the front of my head where the hairline starts all the way to the back. I actually ended up with another scar nearly as long as the surgeon left bone in that he shouldn't have. Then one more time about 8 inches due to infection. Lucky I can't remember it! I had a lot of lumps and bumps on my head and odd to feel. Looks of course normal with hair. I have thick hair.
The little girl with seizures has exactly the same kind I had at her age. I got tested for epilepsy but it came back negative. I was later diagnosed with sjogren's syndrome. It is an autoimmune disease that's effects all your moisture producing glands. I hope that little girl is able to get treatment and get to feeling better from whatever it is she has.
I am sure the parents are grateful for your information. Thank you for sharing.
My mum has that syndrome
Everytime my doctors do EEGs on me they can't find the epilepsy seizures but I was still diagnosed with epilepsy because I was having seizures when I was 6years old
Gasha is so well behaved! Sweet little angel! I don’t know how they can tell anything in a 20 minute sleep study. They made us do an overnight. You can’t guarantee there’s gonna be any activity in twenty mins can you?
That cutie pie was such a good girl getting those electrodes taped to her head. What an adorable child.

Okay boomer...cringe
Die Ärzte, besonders die Krankenschwestern und Pfleger, finde ich wirklich besonders lieb und einfühlsam.
My oldest son had the same thing. He had surgery last year at 5 almost 6 months old. Very scary time but is doing amazing now.
My eldest daughter had asymmetry of the skull that I began to notice when she was about five months old. By one year old I had her with me at my own Dr. appt. and he asked if I had ever noticed anything about her skull. I immediately said yes and from there I soon met with a neurosurgeon and she had surgery to rearrange skull bones that had fused too early and to bring her cheek bones forward a bit. Today she is 34, a mother of 3 ( 2 of her kids were delivered by the doctor who delivered her ) and a University grad. As for the scar where they had to cut her open from ear to ear? She tells anyone who asks..."I was too smart so.they had to take some of my brain out" lol. She went through so much with that surgery but I will forever be grateful to the Plastic and Neurosurgeon, Anesthesiologist and nurses who took such amazing care of our first born. 💖
Oh wow, what an amazing Story! May God bless you and your family
@@mrs_ana1236 Thank you for your kind words...we must never stop being grateful for the considerate and thoughtful comments from strangers. God bless you and yours as well. 😊💖
Wonderful that the mom got to go into the operating room, so he could feel secure.
Linda Pearson I love this too. Most don't let you past a certain point.
That's normal procedure. One parents gets to stay until the child is put under anesthetic. Depending on the hospital they're either put under in a separate room and then are wheeled in, at which point the parent leaves, or they're put under in the operating room itself, in which case the parent gets suited up and gets to go in with them.
It's one of the great things about children's hospitals that they are well adept at working in whatever will help the child feel at ease.
The little girl with seizures is so beautiful...her mom is lovely ..I hope the sweet baby girl is ok ,,,what was her first name ? Kasha ? Sooo cute
He is absolutely an adorable little guy.Hes so sweet.🙏🙏🙏🙏❤
So cute. Gosha was adorable, and Ciannan. Morgan should wear his helmet :) I love this show
As an American citizen binge watching these it was jarring hearing not just one but two American accents 😂
American accents with UK idioms. That's what got me. Hee hee.
Poor boy gets life saving surgery to change his life
'Essentianly we are JUST reshaping the skull' omg the doctors are amazing
Keenan’s mom sounds American.....he’s such a brave little boy isn’t he ..God Bless him
Kelly Bluebook-mabey she grew up in America but then she went to Ireland 🇮🇪

It's very possible that she's dual Irish-American citizen like I am!
Many years ago I worked at a Children Hospital l love my week there. The children were wonderful and the parent were so brave. I will always love my time there as a true blessing!

These kids and parents are amazing..wow ,,they are all beautiful children and I pray they are well ...I could, hug them all ..
i'm pretty sure the reason cianan's mom is so chill about the whole situation bc she's american and is just grateful the family won't be bankrupted bc their kid's sick
I have to agree. Our healthcare system is the worst in the world.
@@amberheard5957 No, she sounds irish. Our health care is great and the reason so many are flown in for their health care plus months of rehabilitation, with no payment.
BTW--Ever since JFK was our president America gives Ireland millions of dollars every year. There is no ''free health care'' you pay much higher taxes as my European friend showed me her pay stub.
Marilyn, I meant no offense. I agree, what we do for Americans who cannot afford treatment is phenomenal. But the fact that people die everyday because they can't afford to access simple things like insulin or EpiPens that costed mere dollars upon their creation, that's trash and I cannot be swayed on it.
@@marilynwillett804 She has a true American accent that has changed slightly due to living in Ireland for a length of time. In no hecking way is her accent anything close to that of someone raised in Ireland.
dang... my ankle looked worse after rolling it and having someone fall on it than his after having it run over😂😂
God bless your souls
When I was 8 I had to be transferred to John hunter hospital because I stopped breathing and my air way was blocked for over a day when my mom brang me to the hospital my heart rate was very very low I think it was like 4 that’s all I remember and it’s weird that I didn’t get diagnosed with asma . Don’t read this part if you mite cry this isn’t about me but it’s also very sad to me my cat was diagnosed with asma and she had a lot of accidents like she got hit by a car and she got a tacked by a car and when she was born her old owner dumped her and she also Had a broken leg but now she has a lovely owner and I love her so so so so much

😇 of heaven these nurses.
Awesome love it
When it comes to seizures check for low sugar problems I fight with this problem every day I have seizures because of low sugar problems
I had an EEG test for epilepsy when I was 7 :)
I don't remember it much but it definitely wasn't the best experience for a young child.. definitely could have been worse though
This is so amazing and she is such a cutie!!!
She’s a child! Remember that. Don’t treat her like a specimen, because the way the doc speaks, he is. 😡
What an amazing hospital
I love these videos could u do more full episodes
Millisa Gable well there’re 12 episodes per season. So there should be at least 11 more episodes.
Those kids are so brave
i think i had the same test as the girl with seizures to test for a brain condition cause i was very prone to fainting, but nothing was out of the ordinary. Had to go back to school with wet hair lol

It's so sad that all the baby's that have surgery don't know it
What is the lollipop lady?
Maureen sounds American. Cute little boy.
Seems like a skull mindful of Neanderthal; I have one of those. I can hit anything with a rock, and the only reference to a long pointed skull is a recent discovery that Neanderthal's have this space as the back that basically regulates hunting gestures!
I need surgery I’m only 69 you think I could go to Temple Street? I’m only 5 foot . I’d have to fly over from America but that’s ok .
its a childrens hospital and u need surgery where you ahere told to get the surgery

What is a "lollipop lady"?
Someone who is employed by the school to help children cross the road. A group of children wait and the lollipop lady or man will stop traffic so the kids can cross safely

Why would he wear a helmet when the injury was on his foot and even if it was on the head with a helmet I think a car would crush the helmet 😂
I case you hurt your head 🤕
If it was on his foot and he was walking around, he could have fallen at any point and hit their head.
because he could have fallen and hit his head as well, a broken foot can heal, a broken head can equal brain damage
Seizers?
