As a young boy I trevelled from Punjab to Assaam by steam trains the distance was just over 900 miles it was a just golden years of my life 🇬🇧🇮🇳😎🙏🏻📢 !!!
the three best rail systems are Japan and Europe for passenger system with Japan at the top. US rail is the best for freight. We don't move many passengers, but the most freight travels over American rails.
There is something mesmerizing about being trackside and watching a train go by. The sound, the odor..the shear mass of what's traveling by you. Really cool. Great video!
After I,d seen the distance from where the train came i knew that this footage was shot with an incredible powerful ZOOM LENS!! NICE FILMING and thanks for the video clip !!
Few things in our country to be pride, it is our Rail, which are from Tirumala to Jammu and Ratnagiri to Sadia in the North East, last border of our country. But the Central pay commission has not shown any response to be better pay scale. As they deserve to get the honour. It is quite impossible to run the such vulnerable area by the Private Co . Thanks to the IR that is still under the Govt Department. We are united due to the Rail even the cast and religion. Jai Hind, 2/9/2016. Kolkata.
Superb compilation of train movements. You've obviously taken a lot of trouble to capture these shots. The telescopic power is impressive and optical effects are awesome. The area is also very scenic. Thanks for the upload Railzone.
Incredible shots in this video beginning with the 1st train at 0:18 The long Blue Train at 6:48 had 22 Cars! The palm and other trees make this a very beautiful video. Dear Mr. TheRailzone: You have a brilliant knack at handling a Camera. Most of the shots picturized are marked to the highest degree by grandeur, excellence, beauty and competence. In 2 words "simply superb". So please take my advice, spend some time in Mumbai, try and meet with some Bollywood Directors of Cinematography and show them some of your finest videos. Inshallah, you might get a break and the director will hire you as an assistant cameraman. Usually they hire 2 assistants for each movie. It may be a struggle in the beginning but if the directors see you returning and meeting them every 3 months or so, they will remember you and perhaps your luck will change. When you talk to them, always be polite and show a smiling face even if things are not going your way. If possible, you could also do a course on camera in the Film Institute located in Pune. Always hope for the best and never be disappointed with whatever the outcome. Good luck to you.
At 29;19 the concrete ditch is from bygone steam days, the ditch full of water was used to take water on the fly when steam engines were still being used. Some things in railroading are the same the world over. I was an engineer for 39 years 5 months and I enjoy your videos. Thanks
Die Bahn braucht für 100 KM. Zirka 4 Wochen.Das ist entspanntes Reisen.Das Alles für umgerechnet 3€,Da kann sich die DB nicht mit messen.Bei der DB sind die Preise 10 mal teurer und die Bahn kommt kaum mal pünktlich oder garnicht an.
I enjoyed watching your videos. Some great subjects - 22-car trains moving at speed up some fearsome gradients (appreciate the skill needed to run the train smoothly)thru cool countryside. Good camera work to esp on the long zoom shots. I don't know about you but the hardest job is transitioning the camera from zoom to approach the close up then passing without jerking or sudden changes in perspective. Anyhow keep it up mate, like yr. work ;)
Interesting to see that not only the USA uses a buffer car on bulk commodity trains of dangerous material shipments such as the petro train at the end, I assume India as well has train placement rules and regulations for dangerous/hazardous materials?
It's an optical illusions, there are numerious places that if one uses the right angle to set up the shot and a long range lens would show the same illusion. There are videos showing water actually running up hill, which we all know is a phsical impossibilty. But by deliberately using a particular lens thus avoiding the surounding area which would show it. It appears to defy physics. Simular to haveing a short person appear to be larger than a tall person. It all depends on setting up the shot as to change ones perspective.
Most of the lines in Indian Railways are more than a century old, completely laid with the help of man power and Elephants with out using any Machinery or technology.
+ Saul . Thanks. That is an aspect I had not considered. We stopped using brake vans, sometimes referred to as Guard's Vans in the UK when goods/freight trains became fully braked, except for certain special transits, like spent nuclear fuel. But even now I think those trains run without a brake ban. They are usually provided with more than one loco in case of loco failure. Any guard needed would travel in the rear cab of the second loco. Aside from the air brakes being more effective for train management, the dispensing with guards is likely to be based on economics. A whole train can be operated by one man. Similarly, our operators in the UK would like to dispense with the services of guards on passenger services, but they do double up as fare collectors and fraud prevention. They are now referred to as conductors or train managers.
5;15 that sign almost looks like it's floating! 6:13 do train usually stop at this station? 6:55 i thought those were just normal passenger cars about to be repainted! 8:39 I thought that wasn't a brake coach! i also noticed it has no vestibules! 11:23 I like that horn!
Looks like railway engineers need some common sense. They could have found the average height of deepest place & top & moved earth to make as level as possible so that the train speed could increase. This is done in Surveying (2nd year civil eng). Train requires lot of extra horse power to climb up the gradient.
Trains are still carrying much of the cargo from ports in India and Pakistan. I don't see containers on these trains. However road transport is much better in Pakistan. It is more ciostly and requires best road network.

Telephoto lens can't make a train articulate like that or make the landscape curve. It's steep for sure.
Get a mono pod they look like a walking stick but you attach your camera on top when you want too. Will works wonders on shaking
Wow! Never imagined gradients like this existed! They certainly don't almost anywhere in the western world.

Try to get a decent tripod or at least a monopod because at high zooms, the camera shakes are quite obvious.
Unfortunately Tripods are not allowed in the premises. Needs special Permission and clearance.
