what on earth is this???? how are yall entering those tight coners with that much speed HOLY SMOKES HAHAHA First time seeing a Supermoto Track Day damn this was intense gahhlleee
This looks fun. I wanna build a Sumo one day. But I do have a question. They let you guys wheelie on the track?! We'd be gettin a talking to for super sport wheelies on track days, hah. Anyways, great footage, love watchin this stuff.
Great vid! Awesome talent! Sportbike rider here, I’ve done a fair amount of track days. I put together a Sumo with a 17 WR450F. I like it but compared to my R1 the suspension is awful at track. I think I followed some bad advice. I believe you need proper suspension to really enjoy. Even the stock brakes with larger disks leave a lot to be desired. The light weight and grip are great though! Would you agree? Have you ridden a conversion with dirt suspension?
The dirt brakes are a bit too tiny to really be able to get hard braking and no fade. As far as the suspension goes, you can get away with the dirt stuff as long as it's sprung and valved correctly. Dirt bike suspension tends to be a lot softer and faster than what is needed. Needs to be stiffer and slow down the valving.
@@IamCarsonn thanks for the reply! I look forward to more content. Full track days here in TX are 5 to 7 times more expensive than kart track days so I may sell the sportbike for an all in SM. I thought I could get away w the supermoto and still enjoy dirt by swapping back and forth but with valving, spring, calipers, master cyl etc. it's too much to change back and forth for dirt use. Thanks again!
great riding and great recording quality.....
Flipping dude the bird had me rolling 🤣
Classic 😂
