In these troubling times it’s hard keep to your head on straight, but being able to take a step back from everything and travel into a world outside of politics and viruses and fires is something that pushes me forward. And the beauty of it is that I can do it whenever I want ‘cause it’s all in my head.

"Concerning Hobbits" was the song I played as I walked down the aisle on my wedding day in the backyard, on the grass under the trees. Happiest day, happiest song. Every time I hear it I can close my eyes and remember holding my father's arm as I passed family and friends on my way to my husband's side. Perfection.

    "I can't do this, Sam"
"I know, it's all wrong, and by rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are. It's just like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes, you didn't want to know the end, for how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come, and when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those are the stories that stayed with you, that meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand, I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn't, they kept going, because they were holding on to something."
"What are we holding on to, Sam?"
"That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for."

To be fair. LOTR is VERY old and over the years we had alot of GREAT to nearly awesome now fantasy-works that made it to the status of being a "alltime classic/legend". Even very new stuff can be fantastic. Fantasy has evolved.... and its not a bad thing. However.... LOTR is literally the Genre-Setter of "High Fantasy".... which makes younger folks think "Its so basic" ... .are they wrong? Yesn't.... compared to newer stuff lotr is indeed very basic fantasy... however.... the reason for that is that its literally THE foundation of fantasy, the inventor if you want to say so. So its not that lotr its basic... its that all modern fantasy is somehow build up upon lotr.
LOTR will always be a fantastic masterwork. The "Genre-Setter" of fantasy literature. The "original". The green hills of the shire with its splendid hobbits will always bring peace into my heart.... what a great epos. Im honored that i was able to read your books Mr. Tolkien.

In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.

Romans 8:18-21 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is going to be revealed in us. For the creation eagerly awaits for the revealing of the sons [and daughters] of God. For the creation itself was subjected to moral futility-not willingly, but by reason of God who subjected the same in hope, because the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage of corruption and decay into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in pain until now.

With tall lush green trees in a nice warm home preferably by or on the mountain as the sun casts its golden veils onto the grassy greens with animals roaming about and people living in harmony with nature. The wind dancing across the sky as the leaves converse with one another and the laughter of innocent children playing their games of adventure. Birds singing a symphony as a river gently tumbles down the mountain ever so gracefully.
Yeah. This really is a sense of longing for me. It's also why I love to play open world games with a beautiful world and class system.

The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it: white shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise as "concerning hobbits" plays in the background

    "I can't do this, Sam"...
"I know, it's all wrong, by rights we shouldn't even be here, but we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes, you didn't want to know the end, for how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. In the end, even darkness must pass. A new day will come, and when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those are the stories that stayed with you, that meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand, I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn't, because they were holding on to something."
"What are we holding on to, Sam?"
"That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for."

I will be forever grateful to this video and those who commented on it. About a year ago, I was stressed to the max and trying to get through schoolwork. I was looking for study music on RUclips and found this gem. It really got me through it and turned down my anxiety quite a bit. After scrolling through the comment section and reading how much LOTR meant to so many people, I decided to read the books. I wanted that same sense of “home,” and I really got it. I read the books and completely fell in love with the franchise. When I was younger, I watched the movies but didn’t really understand them. I’m so glad I stumbled across this, and now LOTR is one of my favorite series of all time and continues to give me that sense of comfort.
Thanks to you all. You invited me to a little corner of your imaginations known and middle earth and I am so grateful for that.

I tidied up, fluffed the pillows, lit some candles, burned some sage, laid out some cookies and brewed a warm pot of tea. The final touch was playing this on the tv. I can't tell you how beautifully it set the tone for our reunion (': we laughed and cried and spent a good amount of time comparing ourselves to the characters in Hobbit. My aunt said she wished we could all live together in the Shire and my uncle chimed in that if we lived in the Shire, this one evil member of our family would live in Mordor lmao. I will never be able to put in words how much The Lord of The Rings mean to me and the splendid, fascinating, heartwarming feelings the music of the shire produces in me, the way it touches my heart and soul.

Shire is the place where everyone lives with no problems... I wish I could be there... Love LOTR films and music... Keep up the good work!!

The most heartbreaking thing is that I can never experience The Lord of the Rings for first time again. It is unlike any film and literary experience I've had before or since.

Same for Star Wars. I can never feel the awe of reading the opening crawl of The Phantom Menace ever again.

To those who “understand”, just hearing the music, brings us back to a world where right did will out in the end!

my parents and my friends don't understand how hard I love the movies and the books, and they always ask me if i'm not bored of them already. But i'm sure that I will never get sick of this universe because it's to wonderful to be throw away like that... everything is a master piece in there and i'll always look for it 😔😔😔✨✨✨

Working from home. This is the best soundtrack to have while working.

This is not normal that an "Ambiant music" is making my heart so comfortable, my eyes in tears, my head full of imagination. This is honestly a rare and wonderful feeling. Thank you for this
