I hope we all know that it doesn't matter who is in the 'top job' because this is a systemic problem -- greed. We have allowed many of our economic sectors, to take advantage of the American people. It's disgusting and frightening for the future of our country. My husband and I will be retiring in the next two years n another country. We are absolutely worried that SSI will no longer be funded. we'll have to rely on his pension, a 403 (b) and a very prolific lnvestment account with my Abby Joseph Cohen my FA. Our national debt is bloating and expanding every month. Our government needs to get spending under control and cut the federal budget.

Your correct a deal would have to be made with BC to run the pipe through and to the shore for loading then the Federal government would have to approve of it for the moment it gets access to water areas. In the end that is even hard because Canada inner trade is the most backwards and primitive system in the world along with being the hardest. It is true that Canada sells energy to the USA below market spot price and to sell elsewhere it would cost billions to make the arrangements to setup a transport hub etc.. We would still likely have to sell at the same price to overseas customers to offset the shipping costs.

Why does the USA get a discount on our oil while our heritage fund is pathetic compared to Norway. Wake up and get top dollar for our oil and fix our heritage fund so we can lower our taxes, build more hospitals (instead of wating 18 hours in U of A emerg) and give us non-profit, right to sue insurance like BC (lowest rates in Canada). And put eye exam coverage back for kids and seniors, cutting this was absolutely pathetic.

The trade deficit with the U.S. is far smaller than many people think, in part because many services provided by U.S. companies are not counted.
When you see ads on Google or on Meta, that is a form of export, and it does not show up on the services trade.”
Another example is that some of the fee for every Uber ride goes toward the driver, but some flows back to the parent company in the U.S.

It would also gain fiscal autonomy, better infrastructure, and stronger global trade opportunities, supported by a stable U.S. dollar. On the other hand, Quebec’s independence could allow it to fully control its language, culture, and policies, fostering economic growth in sectors like aerospace and technology. As a sovereign state, Quebec could negotiate trade deals tailored to its needs, manage resources independently, and build stronger international relationships, securing its place globally while boosting its economy.
